Here is my first project with Stately Flowers 2 and Make A State-ment that
Melanie shared on her blog today:
I started with a card base of GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White and layered with Pure Luxury Lipstick Red. I embossed and die cut a panel of Layering Weight White with the Marianne Designs DS0912 folder and layered that so the red cardstock showed through the holes. Camellia is the state flower of Alabama and I used some photos from the internet to guide my coloring. I stamped two each of the small and large camellias from Stately Flowers 2 and colored them with Copic markers. I added a bit of yellow Stickles to the flower centers. I cut them all out and popped them up on different levels to add some dimension. The top sentiment is from Make A State-ment and the bottom one is from Stately Flowers 2. I matted them with Lipstick Red and popped them up to finish my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day and hope to see you again soon!

ReplyDeleteWow! This is beautiful, Carla. And, you know I need this because I'm from Alabama, too. Great job coloring the camellia. I just made a list yesterday to order that Marianne embossing/die folder. It is just beautiful.
