Fairy Tales Do Come True

Hi there!  It's me again with a second post today.  Crazy, I know, but I've had a bit of "waiting around" time the last couple of days, so I've had a chance to finish coloring some images and making them into cards. This is another for a few challenges I like doing when I can find the time.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the FabScraps Blue Heron collection.  The gorgeous image is Lovely from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's store here.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Turquoise and Star Dust Stickles to the turquoise parts of her dress to make them shimmer.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I added a triple-loop taffeta bow and a little metal dragonfly charm.  Some Wild Orchid Crafts roses and a spray of purple crystals finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful evening and I'll see you soon!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Saturated Canary Challenge #45 (show us your Lovely)
Sketch 'n Stash # 116 (sketch)
The Squirrel and The Fox #46 (use something metal; I used the dragonfly charm)
Cute Card Thursday #273 (once upon a time)
A Creative Romance Challenge #1 (anything goes)

Happy Birthday To You

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  There is such a thing, right?  Hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a great start!  I managed to take a few moments in my craft room this morning to finish up a card I was working on this weekend.  It's for a few challenges I enjoy doing.

Here it is:

My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Kate & Co. Cambridge Court 6x6 pad.  I have to say these are some of my favorite papers at the moment.  I love the colors and patterns!  The adorable image is Li'l Lynda's Piano Forte from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it all with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to the lace on her dress and petticoat and added lots of pearl accents with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  I did some machine-stitching around all the panels.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A bunch of Wild Orchid Crafts roses, a pearl spray and a pearl swirl finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be around to visit as soon as I get home this afternoon.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Little Miss Muffet - Sunday Spotlight

Good morning!  Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day to all those honoring Dads today!  The weather has been beautiful this weekend and today looks to be the same.  Anyway, I am here early to share my card for another new feature on the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog.  Today starts our Sunday Spotlights.  Each week, Barbara will select a stamp and some of the DT will create inspiration projects using that stamp and share them on the blog.  Not only that, the spotlighted stamp will be available at a discount in the Little Miss Muffet store.  Fun, right?

This week's spotlighted stamp is Cupcake Surprise.  Here is my creation with it:

My card base and mats are SU Tempting Turquoise and the patterned paper is from a dimensional, blinged-up sheet from Recollections.  I thought it went perfectly with my Cupcake Surprise stamp!  I colored it with my Copics and cut it out, along with the mat, using my Cameo.  I added some Star Dust Stickles to her blouse and Yellow and Aqua Stickles to the sprinkles on the cupcake.  I created a layered pennant using the Layered Party Banner from Little Miss Muffet.  The layers were cut out of glittter cardstock.  I cut out the sentiment with my Cameo, too.  I finished up the whole thing by adding a few more gems to the sentiment and pennant.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the fantastic creations from the team, then hurry over and pick up your own Cupcake Surprise in the Little Miss Muffet store at today's special price.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Stampin' For The Weekend Challenge (cute)

Super Dad

Hi again!  Are you sick of me yet?  I never dreamed I would have time to create another card this week, but I had some contractors in and I used the down time to do some coloring.  I made a card for a bunch of the Father's Day/masculine challenges out there right now.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Marina Mist and my patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Surprise 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Super Hero by Kenny K. for Whimsy Stamps.  I was lucky enough to have won this stamp awhile back.  I stamped it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I cut out the image and the black mat with my Cameo.  I also cut the sentiment with my Cameo using a cut file from the Silhouette store.  A few red gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew #147 (Father's Day)
Papertake Weekly (hello, boys)
Crafty Sentiments Designs (card/project for a male)
Anything Goes Challenge #94 (for a man)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #56 (masculine)
Twisted Tuesday #52 (challenge: masculine; twist: clothes)

Make it Crafty Coloring Challenge

Hi again!  I'm back this morning with a quick post to share a card I made for the Make it Crafty Coloring challenge on Facebook.  It ends in just a couple of days, so I didn't want to miss out.  The challenge was to color brown hair and there were three difficulty levels: easy (just brown hair), medium (brown hair with fine details) and difficult (brown hair with fine details and a top right light source).   Given that my coloring skills have decided to take a vacation, I should have stuck with the easy challenge, but I decided to go ahead and try the difficult one.

Here is my attempt:

My card base and mats are GKD Cranberry Tart and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Beautiful Moments 6x6 pad.  The gorgeous image is Zoe by Krista Smith for Make it Crafty.  Krista designed this image especially for Zoe to use in her "Coloring Long Hair in Fine Detail" EBook.  I printed out the image on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics, attempting to follow Zoe's fantastic tutorial in the EBook.  Let's just say I still need a lot of practice with long hair, that's for sure!  I kept my card simple otherwise, just adding a ribbon, bow and a few pearls for embellishments. There is a bit of Gold Liquid Pearls on her pendant.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copic colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E35, E37, E47, E49, E51
Dress: R22, R29, R46, R59

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be by to visit you a little later today.

I am also entering my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #210 (sketch)
No Matter Which Challenge #10 (BINGO - one from each column; I used ribbon from column 1, pearls from column 2 and bows from column 3)

Here is SSW-210:
