Copic/ProMarker Challenge and Something Fun!

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and your weekend is shaping up to be a fun one!  I am thinking of my friends and family who may be in the path of the latest rounds of strong storms.  Stay safe, everyone.  I am here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge (now called Alcohol Marker Challenge) on The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "school's out/graduation".  The theme is open to your interpretation, but please remember you must have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

I've also got something exciting to share today!  We've got a new feature starting today over on the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog.  Barbara is starting up "Friday Freebies" beginning today!  She will be providing a new freebie every Friday and some members of the DT will share their projects with the freebie for your inspiration.  Head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the first Friday Freebie and find out how you can get the cute new image for yourself!

On to my card, which is for both the Alcohol Marker Challenge and the Friday Freebie:

My card base and mats are SU Basic Black and the patterned papers are from the Trinity Paper Arts Sincerely collection.  The adorable image is this week's Little Miss Muffet Friday Freebie, Amelie (Back).  She is new in the Polka Dot Pals range. I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some white highlights to the polka dots on her bow with my Sharpie White Paint Pen and some Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen accents to the Spellbinders Floral Oval frame.  I kept the layout and embellishments simple, adding only a burgundy satin bow and a little metal clock charm from Miriam's Crafting Supplies. It's another from the bag of goodies I won from Miriam when I won a recent challenge she sponsored.

Here is a close-up of the cute image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Marker Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along!  This month's challenge are being sponsored by Digistamps4Joy.  One randomly-selected participant in June's challenges will win 5 digis of their choice from Digistamps4Joy.  There are also lots of great site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz.

Don't forget to also visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and get all the details for obtaining this week's cute freebie!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #23 (anything goes; optional theme - celebrations; I used graduation)
Charisma Cardz #23 (digis only)
Color Me Creative Classroom Challenge #70 (brunettes)

Celebrate Every Day

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  Mine has been busy so far, but the weather is gorgeous and that makes a big difference!  I'm on my way out so this will have to be brief, but I'm here to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing.  I haven't had much time for extra projects so I was happy to get this one done.

Here it is:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park This & That 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Pricilla Pie from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's store here.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added "pearls" to her hair and jewelry with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  I added a bit of Yellow Stickles the center of the flower in her hair and the ring on her finger.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I used a Martha Stewart Edger Punch for the horizontal panel.  A turquoise crocheted flower and a few Recollections roses finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Spring Happiness

Good morning!  Happy Monday and April's Fools Day!  Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!  The weather here left something to be desired, but otherwise it was very nice for me.  I am popping in quickly this morning to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like doing when I can.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bashful Blue and the pretty pastel patterned paper is from the Prima Meadow Lark 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Lily, Bo and Peep from Saturated Canary.  You can find it in Krista's store here.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I gave a try to the sky and clouds technique from one of Alyce's fantastic coloring tutorials.  Obviously, I need a lot of practice, but it was fun trying!  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A bunch of Wild Orchid Crafts roses and two fancy chipboard corners from Make it Crafty finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be by to visit once I get some stuff out of the way this morning.  Stay tuned because I will have lots of fun and exciting DT posts nearer the end of the week!

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #56

Good morning! Happy Thursday! Hope you've had a good week so far!  Being Thursday means it's Little Miss Muffet DT day!  This week we have a new challenge starting on the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog.  The theme is "for boys only".   It's a perfect opportunity to create those cards for "the boys" that sometimes elude us.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Lucky Limeade and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Bandit Boy Tom from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  He can be found in the Operation: TREEHOUSE range.  He's only available now as a rubber stamp, but I got him when he was still available as a digi. I printed him on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I cut him out with my Cameo and popped him up on foam tape.  I added a bit of grass and a sponged sky in the background.  The fun sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A couple of buttons tied with Baker's Twine finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure you pop over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the fun creations from the rest of the DT, our talented Guest Designer for March, Margreet, and special guest designers, Petra and Michelle.  We hope you will play along!  You have until Tuesday, March 19 to enter your project.  Using a Little Miss Muffet stamp is not required, but if you do use either a LMM stamp or any Pollycraft image, you can enter with "anything goes" as the theme and you can enter more than one creation.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday #248 (sketch)
Through The Craftroom Door (anything goes)
Papertake Weekly (anything goes)
Color Me Creative Classroom Challenge #63 (anything goes; bugs, butterflies or reptiles optional)

Star of Bethlehem

Hi there!  It's me again finally!  Sorry that my posts have been very sporadic, but I am not having much luck squeezing in crafting time with everything else going on in my world right now.   However, I did manage to finish I card I had in the works, so I'm popping by to post it here.  I created another Christmas card for my stash and did it in non-traditional colors, which was the theme of quite a few challenges recently.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 pad.  My pretty Christmas image is from Elisabeth Bell.  It is Belles 'n Whistles Star of Bethlehem.   I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it in very non-traditional Christmas colors with my Copics.  I added Gold and Mystic Green Stickles here and there for some added sparkle.  I also added White Opal Liquid Pearls to the holly berries and the pom poms on the little one's slippers.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the recent Winter Club that Paulette shared.  A triple-loop Not Quite Navy taffeta bow and a star punched from gold/bronze glitter paper finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to find a block of time tomorrow to visit your blogs!  Sorry for not visiting you more regularly lately.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Here is the color inspiration for the SC challenge:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Black Onyx and the papers are a combination of My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Rosy and Basic Grey Infuse.  My fun image is Starla from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's shop here.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Red Stickles to the tiny stars and the dots on her leggings.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I think it was a freebie awhile back.  I added two chipboard fancy corners from Make it Crafty.  A triple-loop satin bow, a Webster's Pages Heart and three burgundy Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Color Me Creative Classroom Challenge #51 - Guest Designer

Good morning! Happy Saturday!  Hope your long weekend is off to a great start! Even though it's early, mine is! I have some fun news to share to start the day!  I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the CMC Copic Challenge on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site!  I'm excited to have my project for the new challenge posted alongside the fantastic creations from the super-talented design team!

The new challenge theme is use lots of the colors yellow, with the option of also using Kraft or brown and white.  The challenge is being sponsored by Pattie's Creations. Pattie has lots of gorgeous digital images in her Etsy shop here. I was generously provided with one to use for my project.

Here is one of the inspiration photos:

Here is my card:

I chose Pattie's beautiful digi called Thinking of You.  I used SU So Saffron for my card base and mats and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Sun Kiss 6x6 pad.  I thought it went so nicely with the image.  I printed the image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with my Copics.  The sentiment came with the image. It's hard to see, but I added a bit of shimmer to the butterfly and the sunflower center with a Chocolate Spica pen.  I used my Copic airbrush for the clouds in the background.  I didn't add any other embellishments so nothing would detract from the main image.

Thanks for stopping by! Sending out a huge thanks to Suzanne and the design team for giving me the opportunity to join in as Guest Designer.  Be sure to visit the Copic Challenge Group on the Color Me Creative Classroom site and check out the awesome projects from the DT!  You'll surely want to play along in this challenge with your own Yellow creation!

Have a great day and a great weekend and I will see you soon!

Jackson's Digital Expressions - Featured Designer

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm off to a bit of a late start this morning.  We had some really severe thunderstorms last night and I had all the computers off, just in case.  Luckily, we got some much needed rain, but no damage, at least where I am.  Today is starting off cooler but really muggy!

Anyway, I'm here to share the card I made for Jackson's Digital Expressions.  I am excited to have been invited to be a featured designer this week as part of their big July Release Party!  I will be sharing cards this week that I've made with the new images that were released in July.  Today's Anything Goes Challenge #12 has an optional color inspiration.

Here are the colors:

Here is my card:

I got in the right color families, but I have a bit more pink than the red in the photo inspiration.  I started with a card base of SU Not Quite Navy and layered patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Miss Nelly 6.5x6.5 pad.  My elegant image is Vintage Hat V from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson. You can find it in the Vintage section of Robert's store here. I printed it on Copic X-Press It Blending card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of White Opal Liquid Pearls to her jewelry and around the scalloped frame.  Otherwise I kept my embellishments to a minimum.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Retail Therapy which you can find in Paulette's store here.

I used Jen Del Muro's July Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) for my layout:

My card is also for Copic Challenge #47 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom which is to color with navy and/or dark blues.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Jackson's Digital Expressions blog and check out all the fantastic DT creations and all the events that are part of the July Release!  There are lots of challences to win fabulous prizes!

Another Fine Mess

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week got off to a great start!  We had a lot of strong thunderstorms last night, so I unplugged my computers and did other things instead of crafting and blogging.  Today, it's hot and humid, but sunny!   I've got lots to do today, but before I get at it, I'm popping in to share the card I made for a few challenges.  It is for Card Patterns Sketch#169, the Copic Challenge #45 over at Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom (babies) and Craft Your Passion Challenge #114 (anything goes).

Here is the Card Patterns sketch:

And here is my baby-themed card:

I started with a card base of SU Pumpkin Pie and layered with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Devonshire 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  My adorable baby image is called Buskettie from Mo's Digital Pencil.  You can find it in Mo's store here.  I printed it on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored with my Copics.

Here is a close-up of the little cutie:

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A double-looped gingham bow and a flower button from my stash finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your day and hope to see you soon!
