Christmas Kiss

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a great start!  My thoughts are with all who were impacted by the terrible storms yesterday.   What crazy weather for November!  Luckily, it was just windy and rainy here.  I'm so grateful for that.  Anyway, I am here with a quick post to share another Christmas card I made to add to my stash.  It won't be long before we have to start sending these out!

Here is my card:

I made an scallop circle easel card.  The base and mats are green cardstock from my stash and the patterned paper is from the October Afternoon Holiday Style 8x8 pad.  The festive image is Christmas Kiss by Mo Manning for Penny Black.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Silver Stickles to the ornament top and her barrette, Lime Green Stickles to her slippers and Red Stickles to the heart in her hair.  I added Ice White Pearl Pen accents to her headband and Glossy Accents to the holly berries.   The sentiment is a 3-D sticker from my stash.  I added a couple more ornament stickers to the easel base, but you can't see them here.  A bright red satin bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a couple of things to do, then I'll be popping by to visit your blogs.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Hi again!  I'm back, as promised, with a new card and some exciting news!  Elphine House Australia recently held a DT call and of course, I entered.  You know how I love Elisabeth Bell's beautiful stamps!  I am thrilled to share that I was selected as one of the new DT members!  I am still pinching myself to be sure it's true!  I am so delighted and honored to be working with this amazingly-talented group of designers and I hope you will enjoy my creations with the wonderful EHA stamps by Elisabeth Bell!

We have a new challenge for you today.  Did you see that the EHA challenges have changed to only once monthly?  The challenges will start at 9:00 AM on the third Wednesday of every month and run until 9:00 PM the Tuesday before the next challenge (Brisbane, Australia time).  The theme for Challenge #51 is "simply cute".  We want to see your cute creations with any Elisabeth Bell stamp.  Easy, peasy, since all Elisabeth's stamps are adorable!

Here is my first DT card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Collectable "Unforgettable" 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Carrie Princess: Three Wheeling from Elphine House Australia.  I stamped her on MiC Blending card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a cloudy sky, a path and some grass, also with my Copics.  Some Wild Orchid Crafts Cherry Blossoms and Sweetheart Blossoms and a few pink pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Eerie Scene

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope you are having a great week so far!  I managed to sneak into my craft room again and do a little coloring.  Have you heard that the Make it Colourful Challenges have started back up?   I have always enjoyed playing along with these challenges!  They really stretch my coloring skills, limited such as they are, and I appreciate the chance to practice and the inspiration from the extraordinary DT!  Challenge #1 has both an easy and a hard component.  You can do either or both.  The easy challenge is to color an image with mainly black and orange and the hard challenge is to create a spooky scene.  I decided to combine them on one coloring project.

Here is what I came up with:

I used some patterned paper from the K & Co. Brenda Walton Halloween pad from last year.  For my scene, I merged two digis from Make it Crafty - Eerie Scene and Witchy Wanda.  I printed the merged image on MiC Blending Card and colored it all with my Copics.  I did Wanda in black and orange for the easy challenge and created the spooky background scene for the hard challenge.  I added a bit of  metallic detail on her skirt and boots with my Black and Silver Letraset Metallic markers. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Beware Halloween Word Art set in Paulette's store here. Some Webster's Pages black velvet trim and a 3-D bat finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored scene:

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E13
Hair: C5, C7, C9
Dress and boots: C1, C3, C5, C7, C9

Glamour and Glitz

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  How has your week been so far?  Good, I hope.  It's been raining cats and dogs here all week!  Between that and the thunderstorms, it was so dark yesterday that the streetlights came on in the daytime!  It's rumbling again out there, so I am going to try to get this posted before the storm gets too close.  I have a card to share with you that I made for a few challenges I like doing when I can.

Here it is:

My card base is GKD Heavy Base Weight White and the mats are SU Lavender Lace.  I created the embossed layer with a Cuttlebug Window Panes embossing folder to which I added some Basic Grey Bling It diamond gems. The patterned paper is from the Prima Meadow Lark 6x6 pad.  My glamourous image is Fancy from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's store here.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added lots of sparkle to her bodice and the flowers in her hair with Stickles.  I added pearls to her hair with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A satin bow and a few more diamond gems finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20, R11
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress, gloves and hair ribbon: V20, V22, V25, V28
Flowers in hair: V01, V04, V06

Thanks for stopping by!  I am making good progress on visiting, so if I haven't been by yet, I will be shortly.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Saturated Canary #48 (glamour and glitz)
Crafty Sentiments Designs (bling it on)
Designed To Color Challenge #16 (sketch challenge)
Card Makin' Mamas #72 (monochromatic)
Stampin' for the Weekend (sparkle and bling)
The Squirrel and The Fox #48 (use something spooled; I used ribbon from a spool)

Little Miss Muffet - New Release

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  It's early and I hope I am still asleep.  I had a difficult day yesterday with another family medical emergency, but hopefully today will be better.  I am here to share my DT card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  We have a new release this week and it's absolutely fabulous!  The theme for the new stamps is "carnival".  It even sounds fun, right?  Wait until you see the cute images and background stamps!  You can check them all out in the What's New section of the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the October Afternoon Midway 8x8 pad.  Aren't they perfect?  I used three images from the new release: Hooked, Hook A Duck and Carnival Sentiments #1 (banner).  I colored them all with my Copics and cut them out with my Cameo so I could pop them up and layer them. I cut the mats with my Cameo, too.   A few carnival tickets cut from the same paper pad, finished my (busy) card!

Here is a close-up of Hooked:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT and our June Guest Designer, Stephanie!  Don't forget, you still have until Tuesday, June 25th to play along with our Happy Families challenge.  If you use a Little Miss Muffet or Pollycraft image, you can enter as "anything goes" and enter as many times as you'd like.  If not, please follow the theme and enter only once.
