Calendar Girls Hop With Create With TLC

Good morning!  The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!  It's time to hop with the TLC "Calendar Girls"!  Today, Paulette from Create with TLC is formally introducing the new design team and what better way than with a fun blog hop filled with fabulous creations to inspire you!  But that's not all!  Paulette has generously provided two freebies for you to pick up at every stop on the hop!  If you arrived here from Marsha's awesome blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you'll want to head back to the Create With TLC blog and start the hop from there so you don't miss any of the team's gorgeous creations or the fantastic freebies!

By now, you've seen that each designer is creating projects with a calendar theme.   You will be able to grab calendars for two months at each stop and when you've finished you'll have a full year calendar!

My first month was August:

Here is the card I created:

I went with a vintage style.  My patterned paper is from the GCD Studios Antiquities collection by Donna Salazar.  I added a doily cut with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die. The doily and calendar were rubbed with Viva Decor Old Gold Inka-Gold. A quadruple-loop plum silk bow, a Prima antique rose and a few plum adhesive pearls finished this card.

My second month was December:
Here is my December calendar card:

I kept a similar style for this one as I plan to make a whole year calendar as a gift.  The patterned paper is again from the Antiquities collection.  I added a doily cut from Cheery Lynn's Polynesian Sails Oval die and added a few pewter adhesive pearls to it.  For this card, I also used some other word art from Create With TLC.  These were offered as freebies by Paulette at the end of last year.  I did some sponging with Antique Linen and Tattered Rose Distress Ink.  I rubbed the clock with some Viva Decor Hematite Inka-Gold, then added some Glossy Accents to the clock face, some Gunmetal Stickles to the clock hands and another small pewter pearl.  A triple loop bow of hand dyed seam binding and a Prima vintage button finished my card.

Be sure to pick up your freebies before you go.  Simply right click on the calendar images and save them to your computer.

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing talented Audrey who has something fantastic to share with you!

Have fun hopping and enjoy your calendar freebies!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that I used the colors from The Play Date Cafe #114 for my August calendar card.
