Hot Summer Fun

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice weekend and your week is off to a great start.  I am popping in really quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges, one that is ending today, so I need to hurry.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Lizzie by StampArt Design by Kathryne for Whimsy Stamps.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added in the sand and sky with my Copics, too.  I added some Stickles here and there and a little Glossy Accents to her glass. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few 3D stickers and some iridescent gems finished my beachy card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be by to visit a little later this morning and I will be back on my blog later today with my Digi Bells DT post.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamps June Facebook Contest (something beachy)
Card Mania Challenge #50 (circles)
Hobby Cutz Challenge #54 (use pink)

Happy Easter

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today and I will make it quick.  Hopefully, I'll get it posted this time.  I was in the middle of posting when we had a power failure, but it's back on now and hopefully it will stay that way.  I don't send many Easter cards, but I sometimes need a couple, so I made this card for a couple of Easter/Spring challenges out there.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Gumball Green and the patterned paper is from the Authentique Spring 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Raggedy Bunny Tulip Bouquet by StampArt Designs by Kathryne for Whimsy Stamps.  I printed it on Hammermill color stock and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Diamond Stickles and some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A double-loop stain bow, Webster's Pages Sparkler, blue pearls and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the cute bunny:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I am slowly, but surely, making my way around to your blogs.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Another weekend is nearly upon us!  What happened to this week?  It went by in a blur for me.  I still have lots to do, but I am here now to share my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz. The theme this time is "animals" in honor of World Animal Day today.  We'd like to see an animal on your creation and don't forget, you must have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are a dark slate color from Archivers. The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Best of Friends Boy from Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps.  I was lucky enough to have won this stamp during one of the release blog hops.  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I finished my card with a bunch of yummy embellishments for a shabby chic sort of look: lace, Baker's Twine, a button, chipboard corners from MiC and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the gorgeous animal-inspired cards from the rest of my DT sistahs!  We hope you will play along!  They are always lots of awesome prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

Classy and Fabulous

Hi again!  I'm back with a second (and super quick) post today to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I wanted to do, one of which is ending nearly as we speak, so I'll be snappy.

Here is my card:

I made another center step card.  My base and mats are SU Basic Black and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue Petite Papers pack.  My fun images are Socialite and Frieda Flapper from Kenny K.  You can find them as digis in the Kenny K. downloads store and as rubber stamps in the Whimsy Stamps store here.  I used the digis.  I printed them on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I cut them out, along with their mats, using my Cameo.  I added a bunch of Stickles and Ice White Pearl Pen accents to their dresses and jewelry.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I added only a few purple diamond gems as embellishments and called it a day.

Here is a close-up of the images:

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be by to visit over the weekend when I hope to have a little extra time.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K. Kraft Crew Challenge # 148 (seeing double - use two KK images)

Copic/ProMarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good afternoon!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the upcoming weekend!  I am late posting today because I have had major computer problems.  It seems some nasty malware snuck onto my computer and I've spent all day scanning, restoring and updating.  I think it's better now, but I am definitely going to keep an eye on everything for awhile. Not a fun way to spend the day! Anyway, I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "May flowers".  You can interpret this as you wish, but you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Kate & Co. Cambridge Court 6x6 pad.  I used some Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight diecuts to frame the bottom DP panel and the main image.  The sweet image is Bella Sole Love Letters by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  I stamped her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added in a cloudy sky and some grass, also done with Copics.  I added tiny pearl accents to her dress, the flowers and the corners of the diecuts using my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. The sentiment is computer-generated.  A cluster of Wild Orchid Crafts roses and two sprays of pearl beads finished my card.

Here is a close up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the gorgeous floral creations from the rest of the DT.  We hope you will play along!  The May challenges are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink.  One randomly-selected participant in the challenges will win 3 digistamps of their choice from the 2 Cute Ink shop.

Bloom Where You Are Planted

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and there is fun in store for you for the weekend!  It seems that at least half the weekend is going to be raining here, so we'll have to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.  Before I get on with my day, I am popping in to share my DT card for the Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  As always for the last Friday of the month, we have our ever-popular theme of  "anything goes" with an optional twist of making a Christmas card.    This leaves it all pretty wide open, but please remember you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

I decided against a Christmas card this month, but hope to get back to them next month.  I went with a springy pink and green combo.  It looks more red in the photos, but it's definitely pink in real life.  My card base and mats are SU Primrose Petals and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park This & That 6x6 pad and the October Afternoon Woodland Park 8x8 pad.  The sweet image is Summer Day Emma, a digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I can't seem to stop adding grass and clouds to my outdoor images!  I added some Stickles to the flower centers, the butterflies and the tiny flowers I put in the grass.  I added "pearls" around the scalloped frame with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  The sentiment is from the Flowers in Bloom Sentiments set by Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps.  I didn't add any additional embellishments this time.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along!  It's your last chance to get in on the wonderful prize this month!  Our challenges are being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and one randomly-selected participant in the April challenges will win 5 digis of their choice from the Whimsy Stamps store!  As always, there are also lots of wonderful site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Merry and Bright Christmas

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Well, despite working on them all day yesterday, I am still not done with my Christmas cards.  Most are ready to go, but as always, I found I was a couple cards short when I double-checked my final list.  So I'm having to make up a couple of quick cards before I head to the post office today.

Here is one that I have completed:

My card base and mats are SU Handsome Hunter and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Rejoice 6x6 pad.  Being short on time, I used one of the gorgeous new Whimsy Prints I won a couple of weeks ago!  I picked Chloe's Little Light from the Elisabeth Bell Christmas Joy Whimsy Prints Collection.  The darling images in this set are all hand-colored by Whimsy Stamps Senior Designer, Simonne Clay, then digitally reproduced so they are all ready to add to your cards!  I couldn't come close to Simonne's wonderful coloring if I tried!  I added some Liquid Pearls and Stickles here and there as accents. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of the recent Winter Club.  A simple bow finished my card.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge #32 (Angela's sketch)
Whimsy Stamps Challenge #54 (anything goes but must be festive)
The Squirrel and The Fox #33 (Christmas)

Here is FSC #32:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be around to your blogs later as soon as I get home.

Have a great day!

The Digi Bells Guest DT

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I have a very busy day ahead, but I am popping in to share the card I made for The Digi Bells Blog.  As one of this month's Guest DTs, it is my turn to showcase one of Elisabeth Bell's adorable digital stamps.  Since I am way behind with making my Christmas cards, that is what I did for today.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Lipstick Red and the patterned paper is from the Recollections Botanical Noel pad.  The sweet image is the new Elisabeth Digital stamp that was released from the vault last week.  She is called Holly's Happy Mail and she is available in the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection here.   I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics in traditional Christmas colors and matted her on some gold mirror card.  I added two Cheery Lynn diecuts (Border Carnivale and Tropical Flourish) cut from the same gold mirror card.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of the Winter Club.  I matted that on mirror card, too.  A shimmery poinsettia from Jolee's finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Holly:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit The Digi Bells blog every day for wonderful inspiration from the DT and GDT!  You'll definitely want to check there later today to see if you were a winner from the November Release Blog Hop!

Elisabeth Bell's World October/November Challenge

Hi again!  I'm back just quickly to share some exciting news and a card!  I won the last challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World and I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the new challenge starting today!  I love Elisabeth's images and I was thrilled to have won two digital stamps from the Elisabeth Bell Designs Digital Collection as well as two Belles 'n Whistles stamps from Crafts and Me!    The theme for the October/November Challenge is "glitter, shimmer and shine".  I am so honored to have my card posted along with the amazingly-talented DT!

Here is my card:

My 5x7 card base and mats are GKD Lipstick Red.  The shimmery and shiny patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 6.5x6.5 pad.  It was so hard to capture the shiny paper in my photo!  My precious Elisabeth Bell image is Belles 'n Whistles Star of Bethlehem.  You can find it in the Crafts and Me store here.  I stamped it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Red, Diamond and Gold Stickles to make my image sparkle.  Two stars punched from red glitter paper and a shiny gold corner sticker finished my festive holiday card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  Be sure to visit the new Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge and feast your eyes on the stunning creations from the DT!  I'm sure they would love it you were inspired to play along this month!

Inspired by Water

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  It's been a crazy week and even today, I've gotten off to a bit of a late start.  I am finally here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "inspired by the elements".  We want to see you project inspired by earth, water, fire or air.  Otherwise, the only requirement is to have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

I was inspired by water.  My card base and mat are SU Pool Party and the patterned paper is from the Kaisercraft Devonshire 6x6 pad.  For the underwater background, I used the Sandy Sea Floor digistamp from Make it Crafty.  I printed it on Neenah Solar White and colored it using the Copic background coloring technique that Shelby shared on her blog this week.   I used Colorless Blender and my E31 refill for the sand and BG0000 refill for the sea.  It's hard to see, but I made some rays of light coming through the sea with Colorless Blender.  All the other elements were colored as usual with Copic markers.  I added White Opal Liquid Pearls and Crystal Stickles to the bubbles.  My fun image is Mermaid from Kenny K.  You can find her in the on-line store here.  I printed her on Neenah and colored her with my Copics.  I used the Glistening Scales technique that Franz shared on the Make it Crafty Store Inspiration Blog.   Briefly, after coloring with Copics, I painted the tail with African Jade Twinkling H2Os, then added lots of Crystal Stickles to the scales.    A bit more Stickles on the shells and fish finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the mermaid:

I am also entering my card in the Oozak Challenge #6 (sparkle), One Stop Craft Challenge #99 (no floral embellishments) and Whimsy Stamps Challenge #51 (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the amazing projects from the rest of the DT and our wonderful Guest Designer for September, NanaConnie! We hope you will play along this week!  Our September challenges are being generously sponsored by Kenny K.  One lucky participant in this month's challenges will win 5 Kenny K. digis of their choice!

In addition, there are are always fantastic prizes up for grabs each month when you enter any of the challenges at The Outlawz, so head on over and join in on the fun!

Have a great day and a great weekend and I hope to see you again soon!
