Elphine House Australia Challenge #63 - Pumpkins

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday (at least in Brisbane)!  It's still Tuesday night here, but it's time for me to share my DT card for the new Elphine House Australia Challenge.  The theme this month is "pumpkins".  You can use any Elisabeth Bell image you'd like, but we want to see one or more pumpkins on your project.  The pumpkin doesn't have to be in the image.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Really Rust and the patterned paper is from my pile and I have no idea whose it is.  All I know is that it has pumpkins!  The cute image is Tommy's Apples For Mommy from Elphine House Australia! I stamped him on MiC Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I added a few opaque gems and a 3D pumpkin sticker to finish my cute Autumn card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Elphine House Australia blog and check out the darling creations from Lynda and Lynne!  We hope you will find time to play along this time.  You have until Tuesday, November 18th, Brisbane time to enter your project. Don't forget you need to use an image by Elisabeth Bell to enter.

I am entering my card in the following challenge:
Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #21 (pumpkins/jack-o-lanterns)

Have a great evening and see you soon!

Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  We have a fun event coming up on Saturday if it doesn't get rained out.  We finally got some much needed rain last night, but because of the heat, everything dried back up again right away. Maybe we will get a little more in the next few days.  Anyway, before getting on with the day, I am here with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "picnic or barbecue".  You may now use any coloring medium you'd like, but you must still have a colored image on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Blue Denim and the patterned paper is from the Webster's Pages Citrus Squeeze collection.  The fun barbecue image is Big Guy Grilling from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Washi Tape strips in the upper right corner and a bit of Baker's Twine to finish my card. I've got a birthday sentiment inside for special family member.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from my teammies, Dawn, Penny and Kathi!  We hope you will play along!  We've got a great sponsor for August.  Bombshell Stamps is offering the winner a digi set of their choice.  You'll love their fun retro and vintage images!

Summer Daze

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  I've been super busy and haven't had much time for crafting except for my DT work.  I hope to remedy that soon!  Anyway, today it's my turn to post some DT inspiration over on the Digi Bells blog

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Buckaroo Blue and the patterned papers are from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 pad.  The darling image is Summer Daze from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to the hopping fish and the flowers in her hair.  I also added the sky and clouds with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few pearls and another fun little sun, created with tulle trim from Webster's Pages and a button, finished my card

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday and happy 4th of July to those in the US and anyone else who might be celebrating!  It is a beautiful day here in AL and I can't wait to get out and enjoy it!  Before I do, I am here with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  As you may have already seen, we've changed this challenge from using alcohol markers only to using any coloring medium.  You still must have a colored image on your project, but this gives lots more options, in case you prefer pencils, watercolors, etc.  Of course, you can still use your trusty alcohol markers!  Anyway, the theme this week is "red, white and blue".  Your project doesn't have to be patriotic, but we want to see these three colors.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Lost Lagoon and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Celebrate 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is Crimson Illusion by ching chou kuik from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added silvery glitter to the leaves and Ice White Pearl Pen accents to the toadstools.  I finished my card with a simple bow and a couple of MiC chipboard butterflies.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the gorgeous projects from my teammies, Dawn, Penny and Kathi.  We hope you will play along this week!  We have a new sponsor for our challenges this month.  For the month of July, we are sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps, who are offering the randomly-selected winner 2 digis of their choice from the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy shop.  Wendy has some adorable digis, so be sure to check it out.

Little Miss Muffet - Inspiration Post

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Is it really Thursday again already?  Wow, time is just zipping by!  I wish I could say I have everything done that I should, but I'll hopefully cross a few more things off the list today.  Anyway, it's time for this week's Little Miss Muffet DT post.  This week is inspiration week, where the Little Misses get to create projects with some of our favorite Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  We now post our creations on the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Facebook group, so be sure to head over and see the fantastic projects everyone has to share.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Night of Navy and the patterned paper is from the Little Yellow Bicycle Just Because 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Sugar 'n Spice Dolls Lavender.  I colored her skin with Copics and even did a little creative coloring by adding eyes and a bit wider smile (with permission from Forgotten Scraps).  The rest of the image is paper-pieced with papers from the same pad.  I added a couple of little gems to her straps and pocket.  The "friend" sentiment is from an alpha set in my stash.  A double-loop gingham bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the Little Miss Muffet Facebook group and all the fab projects from the rest of the Little Misses!  Don't forget there's still time to play along with our "Button Bonanza" challenge.  You have until next Tuesday, May 20th to enter.

Lots of Love for Lauryn Blog Hop

Good morning!  Welcome to the blog hop for little Lauryn!  You should have arrived at my blog from Melissa's blog.  If not, you should start over on the Lots of Love for Lauryn blog and hop from there so you don't miss a single inspiring creation for sweet little Lauryn.

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you to her.
Lauryn was diagnosed with leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area, undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.  Lauryn is the granddaughter of my friend,
Linda Payne.  I've had the pleasure of serving on a couple of DTs with Linda and I actually got to meet her and her daughter (Lauryn's aunt) in person at a crafting retreat a couple of years ago.
Many of you in the stamping community probably also know Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many people asked if there was anything they could do to help, so we came up with a plan. We decided to have a card drive for the family and are inviting YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings, Lily and Logan. We are sending prayers for this dear family and hoping our thoughts and prayers and cards will help them during this trying time.

Cards can be mailed to:

Children's National
Hematology/Oncology RM 437
Lauryn Newsome
111 Michigan Ave NW
Washington DC 20010

You can find updates on Lauryn on a Facebook page that has been set up by her family, Fight on Little Lauryn. They have shared there how uplifting it can be to receive a simple "like" on a Facebook status or words of love and encouragement on their posts.

Here is another card I've sent off to Lauryn:

My card base and mats are SU Pretty in Pink and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella True Friends 6x6 pad.  The darling image is one of the fund-raising images generously provided by Claire Keay of Jellypark. For more information on this and other digis that were created for the fund-raising effort, please see the Lots of Love for Lauryn blog. I printed her on MiC Blending card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Liquid Pearls and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to finish it.

Here is a close-up of Little Lauryn:

Here is the fabulous group of bloggers who have joined us in promoting this card drive. We would love for you to hop with us. Several bloggers have blog candy and all you need to do is leave a comment that you visited.  You don't have to visit every blog. The main thing is to get cards sent to little Lauryn and her family.
