Watermelon Days

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday!  Is your week off to a good start?  It's been a busy couple of days here so far, but in between commitments, I managed to finish up a card for a couple of challenges.  Two days in a row!  How good it that?  I hope I can keep finding little bits of time in my craft room!

Here is my card:

This is another simple layout and I've used colors I rarely pick up.  The card base and mats are retired SU Glorius Green (I know - who even has any of this anymore?) and the patterned paper is from Recollections, appropriately called Watermelon.  The cute image is Watermelon Wall from MayzyArt.  Mayzy generously provided this and two other cuties as freebies to subscribers of Through The Craftroom Door magazine last year in the May/June issue.  If you are not subscribed to this on-line publication, you should be!  It's very inexpensive, but packed with fantastic craft ideas, tutorials and best of all, free digis with every issue!  And no ads!!!  Anyway, I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some white polka dots to her top and socks with my Sharpie White Paint Pen.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I colored that with Copics, too.  A polka dot flower and some felt leaves finished my simple design.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to catch up with your blogs after dinner tonight.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
MayzyArt Challenge #19 (polka dots)
Sketch Saturday #262 (sketch)
The Cutie Pie Challenge #46 (one for the kids)

Here is SS-262:

Candy Cane Dreams

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  Can you believe that tomorrow is the 1st of June already?  Where does the time go?  Wasn't it just January? Anyway, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  It is the last Friday of the month, so the theme is the ever-popular "anything goes" and we offer up the option to put a Christmas twist on it, if you'd like.  That is not a requirement for the challenge.  The only thing that is a requirement is to have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

I decided to get back to the Christmas twist this month. My card base and mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Aspen Frost 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Peppermint from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Red Stickles to the ornaments on her shoes and necklace and Glossy Accents to the holly berries in her hair. The sentiment was a freebie on Whimsy Stamps Facebook page last October.    Some Ice White Pearl Pen accents, two sparkly holly stickers and an olive satin bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the gorgeous creations from my teammies, Jen, Linda and Dawn!  We hope you will play along!  The May challenges are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink.  One randomly-selected participant in this month's challenges will win 3 digistamps of their choice from 2 Cute Ink.  There are also lots of site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch & Stamp #158 (Marie's sketch)
MayzyArt Challenge #018 (sweets)
Basic Grey Challenges #94 (inspired by a song; I chose Candy Cane Christmas from Darius Rucker)

Have a wonderful day and see you soon!

It's All About The Cake

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope you're having a good week so far!  Today is going to be our last day of sun for a few days, but I really can't complain, since the last few days have been so nice!  I'm popping in quickly to share a card I made for a few challenges I enjoy doing when I can.  One of them is ending soon, so I didn't want to miss the deadline.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Marina Mist and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Hootenanny 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Swoopy Melva from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles here and there for added sparkle, Liquid Pearls to the pearls in her hair and Glossy Accents to the cherry on the cake.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  With all those layers, I kept the extra embellishments to a minimum, adding only three lime green gems in the top corner.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I've got to head out shortly, but I will be back later this afternoon and will visit your blogs then.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
MayzyArt Challenge #15 (grow-which is what I would do if I ate these yummy sweets!)
Incy Wincy Challenge (sketch with lots of layers)
Cute Card Thursday #265 (cakewalk)
Digi Galore Challenge (one for the girls)
Digital Tuesday Challenge #207 (birthdays)
Corrosive Challenge #172 (life's special occasions)

You Should Be Dancing, Yeah!

Hi again!  OK, don't faint!  It's my second post today!  Usually I can barely get in two posts in a week, much less in one day!  I managed a few more minutes in my craft room this afternoon and finished another card I had laid out, so I decided to pop back and share it.

Here is the card:

My card base and mats are SU Basic Black and the fun animal print paper is from the Basic Grey Olivia collection.  My cute image is Digi Dancer Disco from Mayzy Art.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I used a Black Multiliner pen to make the pattern on her jumpsuit look more like an animal print (at least that is what I was going for). I added lots of Fruit Punch, Gun Metal and Diamond Stickles to make everything sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few gems from my stash and a musical note I cut with my Cameo finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always appreciate your visits!  I've been making my way around to your blogs.  If I haven't been there yet, I will be by before DWTS starts!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge #39 (sketch)
Mayzy Art Challenge #13 (anything goes; animal prints optional)
The Corrosive Challenge #170 (just dance)
Party Time Tuesdays #113 (anything goes)

Oh, and here is FSC-39:

Kick Up Your Heels

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's looking to be a beautiful weekend here, sunny and close to 70.  Can't beat that after all the rainy days we've had!  Before I head out for the day, I'm here with a quick post to share the card I made for Mayzy Art Challenge #12, where the theme is "stars".  I decided to have a little fun with this one!

Here is my card:

My card base is SU Blue Bayou and the piece of patterned paper in the center is from the Authentique Celebrate 6x6 pad.  The red Happy Birthday frame was cut with my Cameo using a cut file from Krewella Kreations.  The large star in the center also uses a cut file from Krewella Kreations.  You can find both on Leza's blog here.   My fun image is Digi Dancer: Break Dance from Mayzy Art.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out with my Cameo and popped it up over the star with foam tape.  There is a bit of Red Stickles on her belt, and shoes, but it's kind of hard to see in the photo.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few stars punched from red, blue and dark grey glitter paper finished my card.

Dance To Your Own Music

Hi there!  Long time, no see!  Sorry about that, but my crafting schedule has been a bit off of late.  Despite my best intentions, I'm not making it into my craft room as often as I'd like.  But I'm here now with a quick post to share a card I made for the Mayzy Art Challenge #11 where the theme was "music".

Here is my card:

My card base is SU Cherry Cobbler and the frame is Basic Black.  No patterned paper on this one (gasp!!), just a fun music frame that I cut with my Cameo using a file from the Silhouette store.  My fun image is Romantic Tango from Mayzy Art.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Glossy Accents to his shoes.  I cut out the image with the Cameo and mounted it up on foam tape. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.

Here is a close-up of the couple:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to find a bit of time later tonight to visit your blogs if I haven't already.

Have a great evening and see you soon!

Always On My Mind

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope I didn't get you humming that song in the title all day! Have you had a good week so far?  We are having some nasty weather today - pouring rain, thunderstorms and high winds.  There were some tornado watches/warnings around AL earlier, but most of them have expired by now, I think.  Sure wish I didn't have to go out in the rain!  Anyway, before I do, I'm popping in to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do when I can.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Primrose Petals and the patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Chanteuse collection.  My sweet image is Higher Window from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I cut out around the image with my Silhouette Cameo.  I also used the Cameo to cut out two heart borders, using a freebie cut file called Hearts Grow Border from Debbie here, and the heart doily from a free cut file called Layered Doily 26 shared by Monica here.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be around to visit as soon as I get back home.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
MayzyArt Challenge #009 (romance)
Papertake Weekly (sketch #75 or any PTW sketch; I used #75 below)
Love To Create #50 (anything goes; must have sentiment)
The Squirrel and The Fox #36 (something new; I used my new Cameo and new cut files)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #37 (have a heart)
Color Throwdown #227 (Rose, Pink, Kraft, Green)

That's How I Roll

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope your day and week are off to a great start!  It's cold and rainy here.  A perfect day to stay in and craft, if only I could!  Before I head out into the mess, I'm popping in to share a card I made just for fun.  It happens to fit a few challenges I like to do, too.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey What's Up 6x6 pad.  My fun image is California Rolls from MayzyArt.  You can find her in Mayzy's shop here.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles to her hair ties, belt and jewelry for some sparkle.  I also added Glossy Accents to the face of her watch.  The cute sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Let's Do Sushi word art set in Paulette's store here.   Three Basic Grey Bling It gems and a purple double-loop ribbon bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  If I haven't visited you already, I'll be by later this afternoon when I get home.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
MayzyArt Challenge #008 (anything goes)
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #188 (sketch)
Eclectic Ellapu (recipe: 1 diecut, 2 papers, 3 embellies and a dash of ribbon)
The Squirrel and The Fox #35 (anything goes)
Basic Grey Challenge #85 (new beginnings or use something new - my image and sentiment are both new)

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi again!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my Guest Designer card for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge, please click here or scroll down one post.  I'm back to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do when I can.  It is for MayzyArt Challenge #007 (fluffy), Oozak Challenge #6 (sparkle), September Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog and Through The Craftroom Door #34 (anything goes).

Here is the September SFYTT:

Here is my card for all the challenges:

I used SU Blue Bayou for my card base and mats and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Adeline With Penguins from MayzyArt.  You can find it in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Neenah Solar White and colored her with my Copics.  For the "fluffy" and "sparkle", I added glitter to all the fur trim on her outfit and and a bunch of fluffy glitter snowflakes.  The only embellishment was a few more sparkly snowflakes with gems in their centers.

Here is a close-up of Adeline:

Thanks for stopping by again today!  Have a great day and hope to see you again soon!

Geek Is Chic

Hi there!  Did you have a good weekend!  Mine was busy, but good, and we were lucky to have beautiful weather the whole weekend! We had much cooler temps and not much humidity - couldn't ask for more in AL in August!  I am popping in really quickly to share the card I made for the new MayzyArt Challenge #006.  The theme this time is "silly". At first I was at a loss as to what to do with this one, but then I remembered I had the fun freebie that Mayzy shared on her blog last month called Frankie Stein and a "silly" idea came to mind.

Here is my card:

I have never seen Monster High, but I went on-line and got a pic of what Frankie Stein looks like and tried to color her similarly.  I used GKD Cranberry Tart cardstock and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Oliver 6x6 pad.  I printed Frankie on Copic X-Press It and colored all but her dress with my Copics.  I paper-pieced her dress with a plaid paper from the same pad.   I added some white dots to her skirt and sleeves with my Sharpie Paint pen and Red, Turquoise and Silver Stickles here and there for a bit of sparkle.  The fun sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Hurray, Hurray, School Today set in Paulette's store here.  A few silvery rhinestones finished off my card.

Here is a close-up of Frankie:

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your evening and hope to see you soon!

Go Team USA

Good afternoon!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend again!  How did that happen?  Not that it's not a good thing - lol!  Just amazed at how the time flies by!  I'm popping in really quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.  It is for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #195 (Olympics/sports), the One Stop Craft Challenge #192 (Olympics/sports) and Seems A Little Sketchy #18 (sketch).

Here is SALS #18:

Here is my card:

I used SU Night of Navy cardstock and layered with patterned papers from October Afternoon.  I'm not sure which 8x8 pads, because the pieces were in my scrap bag.  My cute image is Soccer/Football from MayzyArt.  You can find her in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I went online and had a look at the Team USA Women's Soccer uniforms for the Olympics and tried to color as closely as possible to that.    The simple sentiment was done with a sticky alpha set from my stash.    I finished the card with a couple of pieces of navy stitched ribbon.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope things will stay quiet so I can get around to visit your blogs tonight!

Have a good one!

Stella and Luna

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I was out all day yesterday and will be out a lot of today, too, but before I head out, I wanted to share a card I made with another fun MayzyArt image. I was thrilled when Mayzy told me she was featuring my blog on her blog today!  My card today is for Friday Sketch Challenge #22, Jackson's Digital Expressions #15 (anything goes) and Digital Tuesday #170 (photo inspiration).

Here is the sketch:

And here is the photo inspiration:

Here is my card:

I took my inspiration from the soft purple, peach and blue colors in the photo.  I started with a card base of SU Chocolate Chip and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey What's Up 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Stella and Luna from MayzyArt.  She can be found in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles her and there for a little sparkle.  A few roses and aster daisies from Wild Orchid Crafts and three adhesive pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Here are links on my blog to a few other cards or projects I've made with Mayzy's fun images: Shawna With Latte, Rosebud the Fairy, Lemon Lucy, Let's Party and Berry Betty.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to get back later and check out all your blogs.  I've missed visiting these last couple of days!

Have a good one and see you soon!

Need Coffee!

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  Once I had a couple of cups of my favorite coffee, I was good to go!  Before that, not so much!  I'm popping in to share the project I made for the MayzyArt Challenge #5 - Anything But A Card.   I often have a tough time with these challenges as I'm really a card person, but for this one, I knew right away what I wanted to do.

Here is my project:

I'm going to show a couple more views because it was really hard to get good pics of this for some reason.  I  covered a recycled coffee bag with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus 12x12 pad.  I used another of the papers for the band around the bag where the label was.  My cute image is Shawna With Latte from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.   The fun sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I printed it out and cut it into single words.  I thought this would make perfect for a gift of whole bean coffee for one of my coffee addict friends!

Here is a close-up with the sentiment:

And finally a close-up of just Shawna:

I am also entering my card in the Charisma Cardz Challenge #27 (recycle something - I recycled the coffee bag) and the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #194 (food and drink).
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

Flights of Fancy

Hello!  I know I said I was done, but this is going to be the quickest post ever so I can share the card I made for MayzyArt Challenge #4 - Flights of Fancy.  The challenge ends shortly and I didn't want to miss the deadline.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of Papertrey Aqua Mist and layered with patterned paper from the October Afternoon Sidewalks 8x8 pad.  My adorable image is Rosebud the Fairy from MayzyArt.  You can find her in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I thought she was perfect for the theme!  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to the roses and her wings. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some Webster's Pages trim and a few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  That's it for me - I promise!
Have a great weekend!
