Friday Coloring Challenge on Sunday

Good afternoon!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a great weekend!  It's been very busy around here since late in the week, hence my being late AGAIN with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is a color inspiration.  You can use any coloring medium you'd like, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project to enter.  You don't have to match the colors exactly, but we'd like to be able to recognize the overall color palette we've chosen for inspiration.

Here is the color inspiration photo, courtesy of Design Seeds:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Grass Green and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Autumn Song 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Grumpy Fae with Acorn Sitting on a Toadstool by Aurora Wings.  I colored it with my Copics and added some Liquid Pearls to the toadstools and Stickles to the wings.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge to check out the gorgeous projects by my teammies.  We hope you find time to play along this week.  Our November challenges are being sponsored by Vera Lane Studio.  Janet is offering the lucky winner a digi stamp set from her Vera Lane Studio Etsy shop.  Go have a look at the wonderful and whimsical artwork in Janet's shop!

Have a great week ahead and see you soon!

In My Thoughts

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope you are having a good week so far!  We're halfway to the weekend!  Got to love that thought!  Anyway, I am here this morning to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing.  I somehow managed to get this one done in between my DT work.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Gumball Green and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Country Garden 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Sunflower Sprite from Aurora Wings.  Mitzi generously shared it as a freebie for the current sprite challenge on the blog.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I used the Birds on a Wire metal die from Little Miss Muffet Stamps as a banner at the top. Some eyelet lace (Webster's Pages trim), flowers with buttons and a few pearls finished up my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a couple of appointments this morning, so I'll be around to visit this afternoon.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Aurora Wings Challenge #5 (sprite delight)
Hobbycutz Challenge #59 (sketch challenge)
Crafting From the Heart Challenge #30 (anything goes)
Tuesday Throwdown #207 (mellow yellow)

Christmas in July

Hi there!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a good weekend!  We've been busy this weekend, so I haven't had much time for crafting or blogging, but I hope to get back to it tomorrow.  I do have a card to share today.  It is for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the patterned papers are from the Melissa Frances Deck the Halls 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is Christmas Fairy from Aurora Wings.  You can find her in Mitzi's Etsy shop here.  The AW Blog challenge right now is to do "no lines" coloring or a color BINGO.  I decided to give the no lines technique a go.  It's my first time and I wasn't that thrilled with the outcome.  With my bad eyesight, it was hard to see where to color even with a dark lines image nearby.  I guess it will take practice.  Maybe I should have started with a less intricate image, too.  Anyway, I printed it in washout mode and colored with my Copics in festive Christmas colors.  I added some Crystal, Red, and Gold Stickles for sparkly accents.  A 3D poinsettia and a sparkly Joy sentiment sticker, as well as a couple of gems from my stash, finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back to my normal schedule soon, I hope.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Aurora Wings Blog Challenge #4 (no lines coloring or color BINGO)
Aurora Wings July Facebook Challenge (Christmas in July)
Left of Center Creative Challenge #36 (add some sparkle)
Creative Fingers Challenge #43 (anything goes)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning, again!  I'm up now and back as promised with my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "weddings/anniversaries". You can take the theme wherever you'd like, but please remember you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my wedding card:

I've made a CAS wedding card with a white card base, silver mirror card layer and an embossed frame.  The elegant image is Wedding Couple from Aurora Wings.  You can find it in Mitzi's Etsy shop here.  I printed the image within the frame and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Diamond Stickles to her gown, veil and around the flowers in her bouquet.  The sentiment is stamped (from GKD Arranged With Love set).  A few large gems in the corners finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again. Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fantastic projects from my teammies, Penny and Dawn.  Kathi is off this week. We hope you will play along!  Our June challenges are sponsored by Delicious Doodles.  Teri is offering one randomly-selected participant in the challenges their choice of 4 digis from her shop.  Check out her fabulous digis!

Orchid Fairy

Hi again!  I'm back with a quick second post today.  Sorry, I know you must be sick of me by now! It worked out that I have a few more posts this week than usual, but I've been trying to get a few projects finished and they seem to have come at once.  Anyway, I have another card project to share.

Here it is:

My card base and mats are GKD Soft Sand and the patterned papers are from my scrap bag.  I think one is K & Co. and the other is Magnolia, but I'm not positive.  The gorgeous image is Orchid Fairy from Aurora Wings.  You can find it in Mitzi's Etsy shop here.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics using three different blue color families.  I added Aqua Stickles to her bracelet, Icicle Stickles to her earrings and strap, and Crystal Stickles to the "bubbles".  I added a little Gold Stickles to the flower centers.  It's very sparkly in real life!  A triple-loop seam binding bow and a few gems from my stash finished my card.  I didn't want anything taking away from the beautiful image.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20

Dandelion Sprite

Hi again!  I know I am supposed to be doing other things right now, but I'm back with a second quick post because I forgot to share the card I made for the Stamps by Aurora Wings 1K Member Celebration Flash Contest on Facebook, which was to use the adorable Dandelion Sprite that Mitzi generously shared as a freebie during the celebration.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Gumball Green and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Origins 6x6 pad.  I printed the cutie Dandelion Sprite on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some fine glitter to the dandelion "fluff".  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A bunch of yellow gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

The Rose

Good evening. How have you been?  I know I don't usually post this late, but I didn't feel much like crafting or blogging today. I decided to plod on anyway.  My heart is so heavy.  I learned this morning that my design teammate and sweet friend, Linda Palmer, passed away unexpectedly yesterday.  Many of you probably know Linda from her blog, Facebook page, design team work and her active participation in the online crafting community.  She was a very kind and caring person, who only had nice things to say to, and about, everyone.  She was always encouraging everyone around her and she was a positive presence everywhere she went.  There was nothing Linda loved more than her family and my thoughts and prayers are with them during this sad time.  Personally, I will miss her very much.

In honor of Linda, here is my card for today:

My center-step card base and mats are GKD Innocent Pink and the patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5x6.5 pad.  The beautiful image is Rose Fairy from AuroraWings.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics and a few ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.  I added pale pink glitter to all the little bubbles, but it's hard to see the sparkle in the photo.  I added lots of Wild Orchid Crafts roses around the base.  A pink satin bow and a few pink pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be around to visit as soon as I can.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Aurora Wings Challenge #2 (monochromatic)
Love to Create #112 (monochromatic and ribbon)
Addicted to Stamps Challenge #80 (Fancy folds)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #100 (fancy folds)

Have a nice evening and see you tomorrow for my Little Miss Muffet DT post.

A Walk in the Garden 6x6 pack.  The gorgeous image is Girl With Pansies from AuroraWings.  You can find it in Mitzi's Etsy shop here.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Yellow Stickles to the pansy centers and some Star Dust Stickles to the "bubbles".    I also added Liquid Pearls to her earrings.    The sentiment is stamped.  Some wrinkled silk ribbon, a double-loop bow and a few pearls from my stash finished my card.

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have some fun plans for the upcoming weekend!  It's supposed to rain here all weekend so I guess that will give me some extra time in the craft room.  Hope so!  Anyway, I am here now with my DT post for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is " fantasy/fairies".  You can interpret this as you'd like, but your project must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Old Olive and the patterned paper is from Basic Grey, but I can't remember which pad.  The gorgeous image is another from Mitzi Sato-Wiuff from her AuroraWings Etsy shop. It's called Flower Ballerina.  I printed it on Hammermill Color Digital Cover Stock and colored it with my Copics.  I added Icicle Stickles here and there for some sparkle.  A few pearl flourishes, three Wild Orchid Crafts lilies and a triple-loop seam binding bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Orchid Fairy

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  If you are looking for my Little Miss Muffet DT post, please scroll down one post.  I have a card to share that I made for a few challenges.  One of them was ending soon, so I wanted to get it in.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Sage Shadow and the glittery and shimmery patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden 6.5x6.5 pad.  The stunning image is Orchid Fairy with Butterfly Wings from AuroraWings.  Mitzi has so many gorgeous digital stamps in her AuroraWings Etsy shop!  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Star Dust, Icicle, Diamond and Crystal Stickles to the bubbles, wings and her dress to make them sparkle.  I tried to add shimmer to the orchids with Viva Décor Rose Inka-Gold, but you can hardly see it in the photo and it dulled the coloring a little, I think.  Finally, I spritzed the whole image with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist (also hard to see).   I didn't add any embellishments as this had enough going on already.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be around shortly to visit.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas (make it sparkle)
Crafting From The Heart #7 (anything goes; flowers)
Digi Galore (Wings)
Kit and Clowder February Challenge (any colored image)
Stamps by AuroraWings February FB Challenge (favorite flowers)

Have a great day and see you soon!

Woman With Roses

Good morning!  Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start!  I am back from my trip to the frigid Northeast.  It was really cold in MA, but at least I got in and out between their snow events, so I didn't encounter any travel issues.  Now they are predicting possible freezing rain for AL again! Enough already with the winter weather!  Anyway, I am here to share a card I made using another of the gorgeous images from Mitzi Sato-Wiuff of AuroraWings.  I am really enjoying coloring Mitzi's beautiful digis!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Garden Green and the patterned paper is a digital paper from Whimsy Stamps that was offered as a freebie in the Whimsy Stamps Magazine Vol. #7.  The gorgeous image is Profile of a Woman With Roses from AuroraWings Etsy shop. I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics  I didn't add a sentiment this time and I kept my embellishments to just a few pearls as I didn't want to take away from the image.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Once I get settled in, I'll be around to catch up on the visiting that I missed while I was away.

I am entering my card in the following Challenges:

Craft Your Passion #200 (use any challenge in the past year; I chose #161 -floral delights)
Love to Create Challenge #102 (create with red or pink)
