Sketch Saturday #293

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's going to be another busy one for me, but I'll be glad to get all my organizing done.  It feels so much better to work in a neat area!  The only problem is that I've put my things away in new spots and can't always remember where!  Anyway, I am here now with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are being sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts, who are offering a GC to the store for the winner.

Here is this week's fab sketch by Debra:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I flipped the sketch.  My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste "Presh" 6x6 pad.  I cut the arrows from another sheet of the same paper pad. The fun image is Color Me Janette digistamp from Kenny K. Downloads.  She is also available in rubber by Whimsy Stamps from Bunny Zoe's Crafts. I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   Two metal buttons with some Baker's Twine finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Sketch Saturday blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will inspired to play along!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew #164 (anything goes; twist: use black)
Twisted Tuesday #67 (challenge: use products from more than 3 companies; I used Stampin' Up, My Mind's Eye, Kenny K. Create With TLC, Buttons unknown.  twist: use an arrow)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #86 (use metal; I used metal buttons)
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #199 (recipe: 1 image, 2 buttons, 3 patterned papers)

Have a great day and see you soon!

Never Too Old

Hi again!  I'm up now and back with a super quick post to share a card I made for a friend's birthday and a couple of challenges I do when I can.  Weekends are usually pretty quiet on my blog, but I had this one done on my desk just waiting for pics.

My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee House of Three Soiree collection.  The fun image is a digi called Happy Hour from Kenny K.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added glitter to the polka dots on her dress, Liquid Pearls to her necklace, earrings and bracelet and Glossy Accents to her glass. She is popped up on Pop-Dots. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be around a little later this morning to visit.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Seems A Little Sketch #52 (sketch)
Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew Challenge #159 (pumps and pearls)

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  At last the weekend is upon us!  Hope you have fun plans on your end!  I've got a busy Saturday planned and then I have to go out of town for a couple of days on Sunday, so I'll be scrambling.  Before I head off to do a million errands, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "Awareness" (breast cancer or any other; feature an awareness ribbon).  It's perfect since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but it doesn't have to be about breast cancer. However, you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my awareness card:

My card base and mats are from my cardstock stash and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Bittersweet 6x6 pad.  I used Kenny K.'s Breast Cancer Fighter and colored her up with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some polka dot ribbon, a few pearls and a metal pink ribbon charm finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fantastic projects from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along!  There are always awesome prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz.

Classy and Fabulous

Hi again!  I'm back with a second (and super quick) post today to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I wanted to do, one of which is ending nearly as we speak, so I'll be snappy.

Here is my card:

I made another center step card.  My base and mats are SU Basic Black and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue Petite Papers pack.  My fun images are Socialite and Frieda Flapper from Kenny K.  You can find them as digis in the Kenny K. downloads store and as rubber stamps in the Whimsy Stamps store here.  I used the digis.  I printed them on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I cut them out, along with their mats, using my Cameo.  I added a bunch of Stickles and Ice White Pearl Pen accents to their dresses and jewelry.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I added only a few purple diamond gems as embellishments and called it a day.

Here is a close-up of the images:

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be by to visit over the weekend when I hope to have a little extra time.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K. Kraft Crew Challenge # 148 (seeing double - use two KK images)
Whimsy Stamps Challenge #60 (shaped cards)

Super Dad

Hi again!  Are you sick of me yet?  I never dreamed I would have time to create another card this week, but I had some contractors in and I used the down time to do some coloring.  I made a card for a bunch of the Father's Day/masculine challenges out there right now.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Marina Mist and my patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Surprise 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Super Hero by Kenny K. for Whimsy Stamps.  I was lucky enough to have won this stamp awhile back.  I stamped it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I cut out the image and the black mat with my Cameo.  I also cut the sentiment with my Cameo using a cut file from the Silhouette store.  A few red gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew #147 (Father's Day)

Copic/ProMarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you're ready for a fun weekend!  The weather sure has been a mixed bag this week, but at least it's not snowing - lol!  I'm here, as usual on Fridays, to share my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "food/cooking".  You can interpret this as you wish, but you must have coloring with alcohol markers on your project.  Any brand is fine.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Basic Black and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Rosy 6x6 pad.  The fun image is a digi called Chef  from Kenny K. Downloads.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I cut out the image and black mat with my Cameo and popped it up on foam tape over a frame of Spellbinders Lacey and Classic Circle dies.  I also used a SU border punch for the horizontal panel. The sentiment is from Sharon at A Piece of Heart.  She generously shared it as a freebie last summer.   A diecut dimensional sticker (pot holders) and a couple of black gems finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Hi there!  Happy Saturday!  I know you don't usually see me on Saturdays, but I had a card I wanted to share, so I'm popping in before heading out for the day.  My card is for a few challenges I like to do if I can find time.

Here it is:

My shaped card base (Spellbinders Labels One Grand Nestabilities) and other mats (Spellbinders Labels Seventeen and Labels Four) are SU Basic Black and the patterned paper is from the Trinity Paper Arts Sincerely collection.  My fun image is Happy Hour from Kenny K. Downloads.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added lots of silvery glitter to the dots on her dress and Glossy Accents to the glass in her hand.  She was cut out with my Cameo. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A rhinestone flourish and a Wild Orchid Crafts rose finished my card.

Hugs and Kisses

Hi there!  Happy Friday!  It's been a crazy week, so I'm glad the weekend is nearly here.  I'm popping in to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do when I can.  I'll keep it brief since I need to run out the door pretty soon.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Sweet Melissa from Kenny K.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I was experimenting with a different hair color I saw mentioned on someone's blog.  Not sure about it, but it was a nice change.  The combo was E59, E19, E08, YR24 and Y26 in case you are interested.  I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to her pendant and that was it for the image.  I cut her out with my Cameo.  There are a bunch of other Cameo cuts here - the heart square frame and the heart circle frame were freebies from one of my Silhouette groups on-line and the swirly corner were from a free cut file that was generously shared at Bird's Cards. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few pink gems and a couple of Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Haunting

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend - how good is that?  This week is just as crazy as last so far, but I did manage to put together a card for a few challenges.  It is absolutely my last Halloween card for this year!  It is for Kenny K. Krafty Krew #116 (frightful) and Sketch N Stash #99 (sketch).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are Papertrey True Black and the patterned papers are from last year's stash (K & Co. Kelly Panacci Halloween).  The fun Halloween image is Trixxie Treat from Kenny K.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles to her hat ornaments, ribbon tie, garter and the candy in the pumpkin.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Beware Halloween set which you can find in Paulette's store here.  A couple of glittery spider web corners, also from last year's stash, and a few 3D glitter dots from this year finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Trixxie:

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and you're ready for the weekend!  I'm off to a late start this morning and I this is going to be a quick post as I need to be out the door in a few and I probably won't be around all day.  Before I go, I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  As always for the last week of the month, the theme is "anything goes".  If you have been following along with our calendar pages this year, the October calendar page template is available in the challenge thread along with instructions for printing it.  It is absolutely optional to do a calendar page for the challenge.  You can always stick with the ever-popular anything goes.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Red Hot and the berry patterned papers are from the GKD Berries and Vines 6x6 pack.  My sweet image is Queens Cutie from Kenny K.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Red Stickles to her pendants.  She was cut out and popped up on a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle frame.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Three Wild Orchid Crafts blossoms and a bunch of red pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats for all the layers are SU Basic Black. I layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Journey and Echo Park Victoria Garden (music) 6x6 pads.  The fun image is Rock Chick, a digi stamp from Kenny K.  I printed her on X-Press it and colored her with my Copics.  The guitar sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It's also colored with Copics.  Three strips of metal studs from one of my Webster's Pages Trim Cards (sorry, not sure which one) finished my card.

Here is a close up of the image:

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi again!  Yep, it's me again!  I'm back this Friday morning.  It's a little later and I'm actually awake by now! I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "inspired by your school colors".  It can be your high school, college, grad school, hometown, new town, kids', or grandkids' colors!  I think you get the picture.  Any school colors, as long as you have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project. I decided to use the colors of Alabama's Crimson Tide.   College football is huge around here!  Sorry to any Auburn fans, but I had to pick sides and how could you not be a Bama fan when you live here?

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used GKD Lipstick Red cardstock for my card base and mats.  The shiny dotted paper is from Kaisercraft's Miss Nelly 6.5x6.5 pad.  My fun school-related image is Cheerleader from KennyK. I printed her on Neenah Solar White and colored her with my Copics (mainly R32, R35, R37, R89).   I added loads of red glitter to her pom poms. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some crimson Satin ribbon and a bunch of Recollections adhesive red glitter stars finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

I am entering my card in these challenges, too: Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew #109 (back to school), Addicted-To-Stamps Challenge #38 (lots of bling), Oozak Challenge #006 (sparkle) and Friday Sketch Challenge #25 (sketch).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fab creations from the rest of the DT and our wonderful Guest Designer for September, NanaConnie.  We hope you will play along with our school colors challenge.  Our September challenges are being generously sponsored by KennyK.

One randomly-selected participant in our September challenges will win 5 digis of the choice from KennyK's on-line store!  You definitely don't want to miss out on a chance to win this fantastic prize!

Have a great Friday and weekend and hope to see you soon!

You're So Cool

Hi!  Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a good day! We are getting some rain today from the aftermath of Isaac, but it's nothing to speak of.  Just another rainy day.  I'm here to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  It is for Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew Challenge #108 (anything goes), Incy Wincy Designs (for a boy), Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 169 (sketch), Cute Card Thursday #232 (stitching) and The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge #25 (one for the men).

Here is SSW-169:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Not Quite Quite Navy for my base and sketch panels and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched around the border and sketch panels.  My cool image is Teen Idol from Kenny K.  I printed him on X-Press It and colored with my Copics. Despite buying a few new markers, the Es (especially E25 and E29) are still giving me trouble, so I guess it's time to switch papers.  I highlighted the MP3 player, earphones and the grommets on his boots with a Letraset Silver Metallic marker.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Stuff Happens set in Paulette's store here.  Some grosgrain ribbon and a button stitched with Baker's Twine finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by!  It's been a busy week, but I'm planning to spend some time this afternoon visiting your blogs.  I know I've missed a lot.

Enjoy the rest of the day!
