It's All About The Cake

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope you're having a good week so far!  Today is going to be our last day of sun for a few days, but I really can't complain, since the last few days have been so nice!  I'm popping in quickly to share a card I made for a few challenges I enjoy doing when I can.  One of them is ending soon, so I didn't want to miss the deadline.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Marina Mist and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Hootenanny 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Swoopy Melva from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles here and there for added sparkle, Liquid Pearls to the pearls in her hair and Glossy Accents to the cherry on the cake.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  With all those layers, I kept the extra embellishments to a minimum, adding only three lime green gems in the top corner.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I've got to head out shortly, but I will be back later this afternoon and will visit your blogs then.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
MayzyArt Challenge #15 (grow-which is what I would do if I ate these yummy sweets!)
Incy Wincy Challenge (sketch with lots of layers)
Cute Card Thursday #265 (cakewalk)
Digi Galore Challenge (one for the girls)
Digital Tuesday Challenge #207 (birthdays)
Corrosive Challenge #172 (life's special occasions)

Find Your Inner Turtle

Hi there!  It's me again!  It's my second post today so if you are looking for my Little Miss Muffet DT card, please scroll down one post.  I'm back to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing when I have time.  It is for the Saturated Canary Challenge #41 (anything goes), Sketch Saturday #254 (sketch) and Digital Tuesday Challenge #206 (Springtime).

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are from my stash.  The paper in my file was not labeled, but I think it was some Bazzill cardstock I picked up at Archiver's.  The patterned papers are again from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 pad (can you tell I like this one?).  My adorable image is Turtle Lurv from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's digi shop here.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I think I may have used every marker I have for this one - lol!  I added in the ground, grass, clouds and sky with my Copics as I have been recently.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  That's it!  No embellishments this time, just the sketch and scene, which is rare for me, but fun.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Oh, and here is SS-254:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always appreciate your visits!
Have a great evening and I'll be back tomorrow with my Copic/ProMarker Challenge DT card.

It's All About The Cake

Hello, friends!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope the first half of your week has been great and the rest will be even better!  It continues to be busy around here, but I did manage to finish up a card today that I'm here to share with you.  It is for the Lili of The Valley Birthday Competition.  LOTV is turning 9 and they are celebrating with lots of fun events, including this competition.  Be sure to check out the LOTV's Ideas to Inspire blog for all the details!

Here is my birthday card:

My card base and mats are SU Tempting Turquoise and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Hip Hooray collection.  The adorable image is Rosie With Cake from the Girlie section of the Lili of The Valley store.  I stamped her on Make it Colour Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out and popped her up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   I used my Cameo to cut a zig zag border out of turquoise holographic paper and added a couple of holographic present stickers from Jolee's.  It was really hard to get a good pic of the holographic stuff - sorry! You probably can't tell, but one present is pink and the other is orange. A bit of Lime Green and Orange Stickles finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Here is the sketch:

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a good week!  It's STILL raining here and we may even get some of the dreaded white stuff today!  This is Alabama!  What's up with that?  Anyway, when it's Thursday, it's time for my Little Miss Muffet DT post.  We've got a fabulous new release today!  It's being billed as a Valentine's Day release, but all of the darling rubber stamps in this release could be used for so many other occasions!  You are going to love them!  Check out the "What's New" section of the Little Miss Muffet shop to see all the new stamps!

Here is my card with one of the new stamps:

My card base and mats are Gina K. Bubblegum Pink and the patterned paper is Princess Promenade from Imaginisce.  My adorable image is Claudia's Tutu from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I used the digi version of the new rubber stamp.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of pink Stickles here and there  for sparkle and Baby Blue Liquid Pearls to the beads on her bracelets.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Play on Words set in Paulette's shop here.  I cut off all but the "tu-tu cute" part of her word art to work better with my image.  I added a cropped pennant banner that I cut with the Little Miss Muffet Party Banner Die out of pink glitter paper.  A triple-loop pink gingham bow and a bunch of felt and vinyl stickers from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Claudia:

Little Miss Muffet - New Release

Hi there!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  It's barely Thursday for me and I hope I am still sleeping when you see this, but it's time for my DT post for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  We are having a new release this week and it's a biggie!  There are 5 new rubber stamps, four of which are new Honeycloud Teens from Paula of Pollycraft!  They are so cute! There is also a new digi release called Hanging Dresses.  This is an amazing digistamp collection!  Wait until you see these gorgeous new images!  You can mix and match the dresses, hangers and accessories!  The are so wonderfully-detailed!  I truly believe there is nothing quite like this collection out there anywhere!  Beautiful girly-girl stamps for every  occasion!  Check out the entire new release in the What's New section of the Little Miss Muffet store.

Here is my card:

I used one of the new Pollycraft images to cook up my non-traditional holiday card.  My card base and mats are GKD Dark Brown and the patterned papers are from the American Crafts Merrymint 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Celeste Amberglow Cooking Up Some Love.  I used the digi version of the new rubber stamp. I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Liquid Applique to all the bits of batter and heated it until it was puffy.  I added Red Stickles to all the little hearts on the image.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was one of the many freebies Paulette has shared recently.  I thought it was perfect for the image!  Some red pom pom trim and a few red heart gems finished my card.

Fancy A Chat?

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  I am popping in this afternoon to share the card I made for the Laptop Baby Contest on Mo Manning's Facebook page.  The contest is to come up with a sentiment for Mo's adorable new image, Laptop Baby.  Mo is generously offering her as a freebie for 24 hours and then I'm sure she will be in Mo's store here.  I couldn't wait to use her so I got right to it!

Here is my card:

I used Almost Amethyst cardstock and patterned papers from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  I printed Laptop Baby twice, once on Copic X-Press It and once on patterned paper from the same pad.  I colored all but the laptop and mouse with my Copics and then paper-pieced the laptop from the extra image  I added Stickles to her skirt and used my Black Spica pen for the cord. My fun sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Fine Furnishings Additions.  I thought it was perfect for this little cutie!  A triple loop satin bow, a button and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

My card is also for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #167 and Digital Tuesday #173 (child's play).

It's Your Birthday!

Hi again!  I am on a roll here at the end of the week!  I guess it's to make up for the beginning of the week when I couldn't get anything done.  I am back to share a card I made for a few challenges.  It is for Tuesday Morning Sketches #158 (judged challenge - sketch plus make a birthday card), The Corrosive Challenge #155 (birthday), Basic Grey Challenges #74 (bright and bold) and Digital Tuesday Challenge #172 (recipe: 1 image, 2 papers, 3 flowers and 4 gems).

Here is TMS-158:

Here is my card:

I used SU Basic Black cardstock for my 5x7 card base and layered the sketch panels with two papers from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie collection.  My cute image is Poppy from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's store here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics. I had a few blending problems and don't know if it is my markers or the paper, so I'll need to work that out right quick!  I added some Diamond Stickles to the ruffle under her skirt and the center of the flower in her hair.  The birthday sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Three Wild Orchid Crafts roses and four pink gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Poppy:

Stella and Luna

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I was out all day yesterday and will be out a lot of today, too, but before I head out, I wanted to share a card I made with another fun MayzyArt image. I was thrilled when Mayzy told me she was featuring my blog on her blog today!  My card today is for Friday Sketch Challenge #22, Jackson's Digital Expressions #15 (anything goes) and Digital Tuesday #170 (photo inspiration).

Here is the sketch:

And here is the photo inspiration:

Here is my card:

I took my inspiration from the soft purple, peach and blue colors in the photo.  I started with a card base of SU Chocolate Chip and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey What's Up 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Stella and Luna from MayzyArt.  She can be found in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles her and there for a little sparkle.  A few roses and aster daisies from Wild Orchid Crafts and three adhesive pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Here are links on my blog to a few other cards or projects I've made with Mayzy's fun images: Shawna With Latte, Rosebud the Fairy, Lemon Lucy, Let's Party and Berry Betty.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to get back later and check out all your blogs.  I've missed visiting these last couple of days!

Have a good one and see you soon!

Seize The Daisies

Good morning!  Hope your day is off to a great start!  It's going to be a busy one for me, so I'm popping in quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.  It is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #156, Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (summer colors), and Digital Tuesday #163 (anything goes).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Pool Party and layered with summery patterned papers from the Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer collection. My cute Whoopsi Daisy image was generously provided as freebie by Linnie a couple of weeks ago.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Yellow Stickles to the daisies in her hair and her sandals.  The fun sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was one of the goodies from the April Club.  I colored the daisies with Copics and added a dot of Liquid Pearls to the flower centers.  A triple loop bow of Pool Party seam binding and a flower from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day and hope to see you again soon!Photobucket

Good morning!  TGIF, yes?  Hope you've had a good week and you've got some fun plans for the weekend!  I'm popping in to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "garden/gardening".   How perfect for this time of year!

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of SU Marina Mist and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Picadilly 6x6 pad.  I added a diecut made with my Cheery Lynn Italian Flourish Doily die.  My cute image is Carolina from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She's new in Mo's store here.  As soon as I saw her, I had to have her!  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.   A double-loop bow and a button from my stash finished my card.

Happy Easter

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  Sorry about that, but there was a challenge I wanted to enter and it closes soon.  I had made my card, but didn't have a chance to load it before now.  It is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #144.  It is also for this week's Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (punch it out) and Digital Tuesday #151 (think spring).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Lovely Lavender and layered with SU Gable Green and patterned papers from the Best Creations A Walk In The Park 6x6 pad.  I just love the pretty spring colors and sparkle of these papers!  My image is from Whoopsi Daisy.  It was generously offered by Linnie as a freebie for one of the previous challenges and I never got to use it then.    I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I added Stickles here and there for some extra sparkle.  It looks great in real life, but the glitter made it hard to get a good photo.    I used three different punches - Martha Stewart's Arch Lattice Edge Punch and Butterfly Punch and a McGill mini tulip punch.   The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of Paulette's April Club.  An orchid satin bow finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have a great evening and I'll see you soon.

Happiness is...

Hi there!  I was going to say good morning, but I just realized it's not morning anymore!  Where did the day go?  I guess time flies when you are having fun - lol!  I'm popping in to share the card I made for a couple of challenges - the Digital Tuesday Challenge #150 (a sketch challenge this week) and the current Copic Challenge #38 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom which was themed "fuzzy-wuzzy furry animal antics".

Here is the Digital Tuesday sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Bermuda Breeze and layered with Kraft and patterned papers from the Prima Alla Prima 8x8 pad.  My cute "animal" image is Buds (Girl) from Mo's Digital Pencil.  You can find it in Mo's store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copics (E000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E50, BG49, BG13, BG11, BG10, BG000, G21, G20, E44, E43, E42, E41).  I blinged up his collar with some Stickles.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some lace, Kraft twill and Baker's Twine finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Card For A Couple of Challenges

Hi there!  Happy Hump Day!  Have you had a good week so far?  Mine's been busy, but good.  I'm popping in to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  It's for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #142, Simon Says Stamp (use three different patterned papers), Digital Tuesday #148 (make it sparkle) and Copic Challenge #37 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site (lots of laughs and bright, fun colors).

Here is the SSW sketch:

And here is the CMC Inspiration photo:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Melon Mambo and layered with three different brightly colored papers from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6x6 pad following the sketch.  My fun image is Stella Love - Person To Annoy from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I printed Stella and Gus on Cryogen White and colored them with Copics.  I added some sparkle to her dress, slippers and the little heart with Stickles.   I also added some Glossy Accents to their glasses. The funny sentiment is from the same image set.  I thought this would make a cute anniversary card!  A few turquoise rhinestones finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm off for an afternoon of appointments, so I'll check back in with you all later.

Have a great day!
