Little Miss Muffet & Simply B Stamps Tea Party Release Day 3

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Welcome to Day 3 of the combined Mad Tea Party release from Simply B Stamps and Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  Hope you've had a chance to check out Day 1 and Day 2 of this fantastic joint mega release and you've made your comments for a chance to win some great prizes!  For Day 3, there are some really fun games to play.  A "Guess Who" game is being hosted on the Simply B Stamps blog and a "Scavenger Hunt" is being hosted on the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog.  There are prizes from both companies up for grabs for playing in the games!  Check out both blogs for all the details on how to participate and enter to win!

Here is my project for Day 3:

My card base and mats are GKD Green Apple and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Little Miss 6x6 pad.  For the background scene, I merged lots of images from the Tea Party Mega Combo from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I printed the merged image on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.    I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some added sparkle.  My fun front image is Mad Hatter Betty from Simply B Stamps.  I printed her on MiC card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles to the hat pins and some white polka dots to her bow tie and stockings. I cut her out with my Cameo and popped her up on foam tape over the scene.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A bunch of gems from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Simply B Stamps and Little Miss Muffet blogs and check out the fabulous creations from both DTs and play along with the fun games for a chance to win terrific prizes!  You have until next Wednesday, April 10th to participate.  All LMMS prize winners will be posted on the blog next Thursday, April 11.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Through The Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)
Simon Says Stamp Challenge (happy birthday/celebration)

Snow Much Fun

Hi there!  Happy New Year!  Hope you all had a fun New Year's Eve and your 2013 is off to a great start!  It's been raining all day and it's made for a bit of a lazy time around here, but tomorrow, it's back to the normal, hectic pace, so I'm enjoying the quiet day.  I'm popping in quickly to share I card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  It is for Elphine House Australia Challenge #34 (snow swirled, with an Elisabeth Bell image), Friday Sketch Challenge #33 (sketch) and Cute Card Thursday #249 (anything goes).

Here is FSC-33:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Blue Bayou and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Winter Fun 6x6 pad.  My fun Elisabeth Bell image is Belles 'n Whistles Snow Fight Snowbaby.  I won this cute stamp from Crafts and Me awhile back.  I stamped it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Crystal Snow to the pom pom on her hat and Polar White Flower Soft to the snowball and ground.  The sentiment was generously offered as a freebie by Jane on her blog here.  I colored in the letters with Copics.  I added a bunch of snowflakes punched from glitter paper with gems in their centers to finish my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be back to a regular routine of card-making and blogging in the next day or so.  I will definitely be by to visit you then!

Have a great evening!

Believe in The Magic

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I have a busy day planned so before I head out, I'm popping in to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  It is for Mo's DP2 Challenge #152 (buttons), Sweet Sketch Wednesday #171 (sketch), Cute Card Thursday #234 (Christmas in September), Stampin' For The Weekend #17 (starting Christmas early) and Divas by Design #52 (for a child). Phew!

Here is SSW-171:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Cranberry Tart.  The patterned papers are from the Memory Box Mistletoe 6x6 pad.  My sweet Mo's image is Christmas Fairy Holly.  You can find her in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Fabriano Aquarello Extra White and colored her with Distress Inks for a soft look (Skin: Antique Linen, Tattered Rose; Hair: Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo; Holly: Bundled Sage; Dress and Shoes: Aged Mahogany, Tumbled Glass; Bells and Snowglobe: Gathered Twigs, Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass).  I added Gold Stickles to the Bells, Red Stickles to the berries and lots of Star Dust Stickles to the bottom of her dress and the snowglobe.  I finished the image with a coat of Glossy Accents on the snowglobe, over the Stickles. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Enjoy The Snow set in Paulette's store here. Some ruffled seam binding, a button and a bit of Baker's Twine finished my card.

You're So Cool

Hi!  Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a good day! We are getting some rain today from the aftermath of Isaac, but it's nothing to speak of.  Just another rainy day.  I'm here to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  It is for Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew Challenge #108 (anything goes), Incy Wincy Designs (for a boy), Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 169 (sketch), Cute Card Thursday #232 (stitching) and The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge #25 (one for the men).

Here is SSW-169:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Not Quite Quite Navy for my base and sketch panels and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched around the border and sketch panels.  My cool image is Teen Idol from Kenny K.  I printed him on X-Press It and colored with my Copics. Despite buying a few new markers, the Es (especially E25 and E29) are still giving me trouble, so I guess it's time to switch papers.  I highlighted the MP3 player, earphones and the grommets on his boots with a Letraset Silver Metallic marker.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Stuff Happens set in Paulette's store here.  Some grosgrain ribbon and a button stitched with Baker's Twine finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by!  It's been a busy week, but I'm planning to spend some time this afternoon visiting your blogs.  I know I've missed a lot.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Somebody Has To Be Cutest

Hi there!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend if off to a great start!  I've got quite a bit to do today, but I took a break to share the card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  First it's for Mo's DP2 Challenge #149 (distressing).  It is also for Seems A Little Sketchy #20, Cute Card Thursday #31 (bling it up) and Charisma Cardz #33 (lace).

Here is SALS-20:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5x6.5 pad.  My cutie Mo's image is Ella In Trouble (redux).  You can find her in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Fabriano Aquarello Hot Pressed watercolor paper and for the very first time ever, I tried coloring with Distress Inks.  Perfect for a "distressing" challenge!  I obviously need a lot of practice, but it was a fun change from coloring with my Copics, I have to say.  I added some Stickles to her hair ornaments and some Liquid Pearls to her pearls and bracelet.  I added a few silver accents with a Letraset Metallic Marker.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Distress Ink Colors:
Skin: Antique Linen, Tattered Rose
Hair: Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw, Antique Linen
Clothes: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage
Handbag and accessories: Scattered Straw, Antique Linen, Tattered Rose Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I changed its location on the sketch from lower to upper right. Some ivory lace and some iridescent pink gems finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope to see you again soon!

No Pouting

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  We've got a lot of errands and such to do today, but before getting going, I'm popping in to share the card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  My card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #164, Addicted-To-Stamps Challenge #35 (Christmas in July), Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (Christmas in July) and Cute Card Thursday #277 (distressing).

Here is SSW-164:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Ruby Red cardstock and layered with patterned papers from the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium and Christmas Past 8x8 pads.  The cute image is from Whoopsi Daisy.  Linnie generously shared it as a freebie awhile back.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Red and Gold Stickles to her hair bows and buttons on her coat.  The cute musical sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I thought it perfect for this sweet little girl!  I distressed around the image and sentiment panels with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  An antique gold sheer bow and a couple of tags from the Christmas Emporium pad, tied with a bit of Baker's Twine, finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day and a great weekend!  See you soon!

2,000 Member Party - The Outlawz

Hi there!  Are you ready to party?  The date we've all been waiting for is finally here!  It's time for the 2,000 Member Party at The Outlawz site!  It seems like just yesterday that we had our 1,000 member party! We are thrilled to have added another 1,000 members so soon!  You all inspire us with your support and with your creative designs!  To mark this milesone, we are having a huge celebration with lots of fun, games and challenges!  And, as always, we have some awesome prizes from our amazingly generous sponsors!  Be sure to visit The Outlawz site and check out all the exciting events lined up for the party!

I am here to share my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Party Challenge.  Our theme is "where in the world".  We want to see creations that represent where you live now or where you are from originally.  Either one, it's up to you!  Of course, you need to include an image that has been colored with Copics, Promarkers or some other alcohol-based marker.

Here is my card:

Although I live in Alabama now, I was born and raised in Massachusetts, home to historic New Bedford (whaling), Cape Cod (beaches and lighthouses and yummy lobster) and of course, the New England Patriots (who play in my home town of Foxborough).  I have depicted a few of those things on my card.  I started with a card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned papers from the Webster's Pages Spring Market, Yacht Club & Country Estate Petite Papers pack.  My fun image is To The Lake from Saturated Canary.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.

Here is a close-up of the the cute image:

The great summer sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A double-loop red gingham ribbon bow and a button from my stash finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit The Outlawz site where the 2,000 Member Party is now in full swing!  Check out all the amazing prizes from our awesome sponsors and find out all the ways you can play along with the games, challenges and blog hop to be eligible to win!

I am also entering my card in the following challenges:
Saturated Canary Challenge #20 (red, white and blue)
Love to Create Challenge #20 (summertime fun)
Charisma Cardz Challenge #24 (summer)
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #222 (here comes summer)
