CAS Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Hope you've had a good weekend so far! I am struggling along without my main computer!  The repair people have been working for three days to try and recover my files.  Hopefully I will get good news today.  Meanwhile I am relying on my laptop which of course doesn't have everything I need on it.

I'm dropping in this morning to share the card I made for this week's CAS Challenge (CA0626) on The Outlawz site.  It's my last week as Guest Designer for the team.  I have had so much fun designing with the wonderful CAS Challenge team this month and I am thankful for the opportunity to have joined them!

This week's challenge was a sketch challenge.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD heavy base weight white.  I cut a scalloped circle frame from SU Soft Sky with Spellbinders Scallop Circles Large and added a piece of patterned paper from the Basic Grey Cappella collection using a Spellbinders Classic Circles Large die.  The tag was cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three.  The sentiment, from Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose Scroll set, was stamped with mellow Moss Craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Everything was popped up on foam tape.  A few pearl accents made with an Apricot Paper Pen (My Paper World) finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I really appreciate your visits!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

CAS Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Hope you've had a great weekend so far!  We had strong storms last night, but have woken up to a gorgeous sunny day!  Before I head out to enjoy it, I am popping in to share the card I made for the Sunday CAS Challenge (CAS0619) on The Outlawz site.  I am having so much fun guest designing with the team this month!  This week's challenge was to make a clean and simple graduation card.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD heavy base weight white and added a strip of striped patterned paper from the Basic Grey Black Tie collection.  I stamped the sentiments from Studio G with Memento Tuxedo Black onto the same CS and cut the panel out with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals die.  I framed it with another oval cut from GKD Red Hot.  I stamped the cap and diploma (Stampendous and Studio G, respectively) and cut them out and popped them up.  A bit of red ribbon around the diploma finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the fun designs from the rest of the CAS Design Team!
Enjoy your day!

Sunday CAS Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  I hope you've had a great weekend so far!  We've had a wonderful time with our friends who are visiting from out of town.  I'll be sad when they leave tomorrow!  Before we go off to enjoy the day, I've come by to share the card I made for today's CAS Challenge (CAS0612) on The Outlawz site.  I am having so much fun Guest Designing with these talented ladies this month!  Today's challenge was a recipe - use green, stripes and buttons.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White and added some cute Daisy Bucket patterned paper with green and stripes in it.  I used rick rack for the stems and added some buttons from my stash to the flowers for a whimsical look.  I finished my CAS card with a little sentiment from Gina K. Designs Hope Grows set.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Be sure to go check out the fantastic samples created by the CAS Design Team!

The Outlawz CAS Challenge - Summer Party!

Good afternoon! Hope you had a great weekend! I just got back and I'm trying to get caught up on everything I've missed while I was gone.

I am popping in to share the card I made for the Sunday CAS Challenge on The Outlawz site.  I was so excited when Maureen invited me to be Guest Designer for the CAS team for the June Challenges!  What's more, this is no ordinary CAS challenge!  It's the kick-off challenge for The Outlawz Summer Party!  Check out all the details on the main page. You won't want to miss joining the challenges this coming week.  There are lots of fabulous prizes to be won!

In case you missed it, here is the main party announcement:

Now on to today's CAS Challenge. There are so many fun things to do in the Summer, sometimes it's hard to choose!  This week's challenge is to choose one item from each category and make your own Summer themed creation.

Colors:
A.  Red, Black & White
B.  Blue, Green & Pink
C.  Brown, Turquoise & kraft

Technique:
A.  Embossing
B.  Paper Piercing
C.  One Layer Card

Embellies:
A.  Ribbon
B.  Buttons
C.  Glitter

Here is my card for the challenge:

I chose the following:
Summer Element: Summer Dress
Colors: Blue, Green and Pink
Technique:  Paper Piercing
Embellishment:  Buttons

I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  I stamped the cute sundress from Gina K. Designs Retro Boutique set onto GKD Layering Weight White.  I also stamped it onto patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary collection and paper pieced the dress.  I layered it onto a Spellbinders Scallop Rectangle frame of GKD Bubblegum Pink.  I pierced around the corners of the main image panel then popped it up on foam tape. The sentiment is also from Retro Boutique. I finished my CAS creation with a few buttons from my stash.

Be sure to go check out the fantastic samples from the rest of the CAS DT!

Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger

Good morning!  Only one more day until Friday - yay!  The weather has been cold and rainy this week and certainly not conducive to being outdoors!  Wish that could translate into more time for stamping - lol!
Anyway, I wanted to share the card I made for this week's Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World

Here is the Trigger:

I loved the color combo and graphic design of this handpainted towel. My card is also for the CAS Challenge (CAS0327) on The Outlawz site which this week was a sketch challenge:

Here is my card:

I was definitely inspired by the colors and the clean and classic style of the towel.  I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  I added a graphic turquoise patterned paper from Bo Bunny called Gypsy Lace.  I cut the medallions from SU Pumpkin Pie with the new Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents and Floral Doily Motifs and added a turquoise button to the centers.  The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs set, Hope Grows. A simple knotted ribbon in Pumpkin finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Another JustRite Card

Good morning!  Hope your day is starting off great!  I have a card to share this morning that I made for a couple of challenges.  First, it is another for Joan's Garden's Weekly Challenge #8 where the only requirement was to use JustRite stamps. Go check out all the details of this challenge, because there are some awesome prizes to win if you participate (see my sidebar for a photo of the Grand Prize kindly donated by JustRite).  There was also a blog hop associated with the challenge, giving you even more chances to win a prize from Joan's Gardens!  I was honored to be one of the Guest Designers for the hop.  Joan generously invited the Guest Designers to make an additional card for the challenge if we chose to, so that's what I did.

My card is also for the CAS Challenge (CAS0306) on The Outlawz site.  This week it was a color challenge.
Here are the colors we had to use:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a cardbase of GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  The matting is done with GKD Grass Green CS that was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The image is from the JustRite set, Breath of Spring.  I colored it with Copic markers and added dots of light green glitter to the frame.  The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Origins 6x6 pad.  I used Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Ovals to cut my main image panels.  A bit of yellow gingham ribbon from my stash finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you soon!
