Happy New Year!

There are only a few hours left to enter my blogaversary candy here.  The linky will close at 11:59 PM CST tonight and I'll announce the winner tomorrow.  Good luck!

Good morning!  Happy New Year's Eve!  I can't believe we are at the last day of the year!  It's been a difficult year for me in a lot of ways.  I lost my Mom at the end of June and I miss her terribly every single day.  I had back surgery in October and I'm still trying to get back to my fully-active routine, but it's been slow going.  That said, I have had many blessings in 2013 and I am so grateful for each and every one of them.  I am very thankful for my family and friends and my wonderful blog friends, too!  Wishing you all peace, health and happiness in the new year!

Anyway, I do have a card for you today, my last one for 2013:

My card base and mats are SU Sage Shadow and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Serenade 6x6 pad.  The beautiful vintage frame image is from The Graphics Fairy and the sentiment over it is from Create With TLC.  I distressed the panels a little with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I added a flourish cut with my Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die, to which I added a couple of Wild Orchid Crafts Chrysanthemums.  A triple-loop seam binding bow and a vintage charm finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the focal image:

I am entering my card in the Crafts-Too Challenge You Challenge #6 (the natural world), Twist 2 (any winged creature).

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be back to my normal routine after tomorrow and should be crafting and visiting again then.  I'll be by to post the winner of my blog candy tomorrow!

Have a safe and fun New Year's Eve!

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Enter to win my blogaversary candy here until December 31st.

Good morning!  Happy Friday! Hope you've had wonderful holiday times and a great week, in general!  Like many others, I've been taking a little break from crafting and blogging, but I am still popping in now to share my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  As usual, the theme for this last week of the month is "anything goes" with an optional Christmas twist.  I can imagine you are a little tired of Christmas cards right now, but there is no time like the present to get started on next year - lol!  The twist is optional, of course, but you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) to enter.

Here is my final Christmas card make in 2013:

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Bright Christmas and Bo Bunny Mistletoe 6x6 pads.  The cute image is Santa Hat from Time For Tea Designs.  You can find her in Jo's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added white glitter to the trim on her coat and hat.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A satin bow and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fun creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along!  It's your last chance to get in on a chance at the fabulous prize offered by our wonderful sponsor, Time For Tea Designs!  Jo is offering three digis of the winner's choice to one lucky participant in this month's challenges!  You can't win if you don't play!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch and Stamp #187 (any past sketch; I used #179 below)
Sentimental Sundays #186 (anything Christmas goes)
Cute Card Thursday #301 (anything goes)
Stampin' With The Dragon (last minute Christmas)

Elisabeth Bell's World - December/January Challenge

Enter to win my blogaversary candy here until December 31st.

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday and Merry Christmas!  I hope you are enjoying your holiday time!  I am taking a little break for a couple of days, but as promised, I have a few scheduled posts for my DTs and GDTs.  Today I am here to share my GDT card for the new Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge.  I get to post along with the Digi Bells for the challenge.  The theme this time is "snow and lace".

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Merry Little Christmas 6x6 pad.  I used some shapes from the Silhouette store for the base and image frame. The cute image is Snowball Fight from Belles 'n Whistles by Elisabeth Bell.  Belles 'n Whistles Stamps have been discontinued, but a few shops still have some left.  Loves Rubberstamps has several left, but I didn't see this one anymore so it is probably sold out.   I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Polar White Flower Soft to the snowball and the snow on the ground.  I added a bit of Stickles here and there for a little added sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some pretty white lace, pink twill ribbon and a few iridescent gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for taking time out of your festivities to stop by!  Be sure to visit the Elisabeth Bell's World blog and check out the gorgeous creations from the Digi Bells and my fellow GDT, Linda!  We hope you will play along this month!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sketch N Stash #128 (sketch)

Merry Christmas Eve

Enter to win my blogaversary candy here until December 31st.

Good morning!  Merry Christmas Eve!  I hope you have all your cards and other preparations done and you are ready to spend a relaxing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with family and friends.  I will have a few DT posts pre-scheduled over the next couple of days, but I don't expect to be on-line much, so I'll take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to my wonderful friends and followers.  May peace, health and happiness be yours this season and in the new year.

Today I am joining the challenge on Debby's blog which is to share your favorite 5 Christmas creations of the year.  It was hard to choose, but I think these are my faves.  I have a link to the original post beneath each card.

That's it for me!  Have a blessed Christmas and see you soon!

My card base and mats are SU Ruby Red and the patterned paper is from the October Afternoon Holiday Style 8x8 pad.  I printed the image on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added lots of Eucalyptus Stickles to the flourish.  It's hard to see all the sparkle in this photo. I framed the image with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and added some bling to the corners.  A double-loop taffeta bow finished my simple design.

Little Miss Muffet - Inspiration Post

Enter to win my blogaversary candy here until December 31st.

Good morning! Happy Thursday!  Can't believe how fast the days are flying by!  I hope you are all set for the upcoming holidays.  I still have a few things to do, but for the most part, I'm about ready.  For now, though, it's time for another Little Miss Muffet DT post.  For the next two weeks, we won't have a new challenge or new release, but the Little Misses will all have inspiration posts where we will share creations made with some of our favorite Little Miss Muffet Stamps.   There is an awesome sale going on over at the Little Miss Muffet store until December 31st so if you've been making a list of stamps you simply must have, now is the time to go get them.  Barbara is offering an exclusive Polka Dot Pals Digi free with any purchase over $10!

On to my card:

My card base and mats are SU Gumball Green and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Merry & Bright 6x6 pad. I think the cat is already out of the bag, so it's OK for me to say that the adorable image I used is the exclusive freebie you will get with your $10 or more purchase.  She is called Polka Dot Pals Neva. I added one of the Polka Dot Pals Ready Faces to her and colored her up with my Copics.  I added some white glitter tot he brim of her cap and some Stickles to the bells on her cap and toes.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A red taffeta bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I will confess that my cards are NOT actually in the mail yet, but they are done and I have purchased stamps, so I hope I can get them done later today or, at the latest, Monday morning.  I know, I know.  It wasn't going to happen again this year - lol!  Anyway, I am here with my DT post for Super Saturday at the Little Miss Muffet blog.  We have a freebie, a $1 stamp and a couple of spotlighted stamps at a reduced price for a limited time.  The Little Misses have some inspiration for you, too!

The freebie is Shade Tree and the $1 stamp is Christmas Shade Tree.  I love all these tree stamps, but just haven't managed to make cards with them.  I did make a card with one of the spotlighted stamps, Sugar 'n Spice Dolls Sugar.  The Sugar 'n Spice Sentiments are also spotlighted today.

My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park So Happy Together 6x6 pad.  I colored up Sugar with my Copics and added some polka dots to her outfit with my Sharpie White Paint Pen.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A punched border and some Ice White Pearl Pen accents finished my card.
