In My Thoughts

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope you are having a good week so far!  We're halfway to the weekend!  Got to love that thought!  Anyway, I am here this morning to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing.  I somehow managed to get this one done in between my DT work.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Gumball Green and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Country Garden 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Sunflower Sprite from Aurora Wings.  Mitzi generously shared it as a freebie for the current sprite challenge on the blog.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I used the Birds on a Wire metal die from Little Miss Muffet Stamps as a banner at the top. Some eyelet lace (Webster's Pages trim), flowers with buttons and a few pearls finished up my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a couple of appointments this morning, so I'll be around to visit this afternoon.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Aurora Wings Challenge #5 (sprite delight)
Hobbycutz Challenge #59 (sketch challenge)
Crafting From the Heart Challenge #30 (anything goes)
Tuesday Throwdown #207 (mellow yellow)

Little Miss Muffet Inspiration Thursday

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope your week is going OK.  Sorry I haven't been around much this week.  All is OK, but I've been very busy with physical therapy, appointments and a bunch of other things and I just haven't made it to my craft room much. I did get there long enough to make a card for my Little Miss Muffet Thursday Inspiration post over on the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Facebook page.  Throughout the day, the Little Misses will be posting inspiration projects with some our favorite LMMS products.  Be sure to visit and check them out!  There is always lots of fun chat, too!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Hello Honey and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Collectable "Remarkable" 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Polka Dot Pals Jamie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I colored her up with my Copics and added a little grass at her feet.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  That's it!  I kept this one simple.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the LMMS Facebook page and feast your eyes on today's inspiration projects!  Don't forget about our ongoing "anything goes" challenge on the blog.  You still have until Tuesday, July 29th to enter.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge #74 (sketch)
Through the Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)
Party Time Tuesdays #182 (anything goes)
Hobby Cutz Challenge #57 9anything goes)

Hot Summer Fun

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice weekend and your week is off to a great start.  I am popping in really quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges, one that is ending today, so I need to hurry.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Lizzie by StampArt Design by Kathryne for Whimsy Stamps.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added in the sand and sky with my Copics, too.  I added some Stickles here and there and a little Glossy Accents to her glass. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few 3D stickers and some iridescent gems finished my beachy card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be by to visit a little later this morning and I will be back on my blog later today with my Digi Bells DT post.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

"Fore" Your Birthday

Hi again!  I'm back with a second quick post today.  I'm not really supposed to be up, but I wasn't resting well and I was antsy to post a card I made for a couple of challenges. Obviously, I'm not a very good patient - lol!  Anyway, I'll make it quick. There are a lot of Father's Day/masculine challenges out there and I went with the masculine theme for all of them.  Since I lost my Dad 6 years ago and my father-in-law last month, I don't really do Father's Day cards.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  The golf bag image was a freebie from Tiddly Inks with the purchase of the Father's Day-Vintage Truck digi.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some grass under it with my Copics, too.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   A bit of stitched ribbon on the tag finished my masculine card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be back tomorrow with a special post, so hope to see you then.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge #135 (Lou's sketch)
Hobby Cutz Challenge #51 (Father's Day or masculine)
Craft Your Passion Challenge #217 (Father's Day or for the men/boys)
Tuesday Throwdown #199 (for a special Man)
Seize the Birthday (summertime plus birthday)
Digi Galore (nautical or blue)
Papertake Weekly (for the boys)
Cute Card Thursday #325 (so macho)

Orchid Fairy

Hi again!  I'm back with a quick second post today.  Sorry, I know you must be sick of me by now! It worked out that I have a few more posts this week than usual, but I've been trying to get a few projects finished and they seem to have come at once.  Anyway, I have another card project to share.

Here it is:

My card base and mats are GKD Soft Sand and the patterned papers are from my scrap bag.  I think one is K & Co. and the other is Magnolia, but I'm not positive.  The gorgeous image is Orchid Fairy from Aurora Wings.  You can find it in Mitzi's Etsy shop here.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics using three different blue color families.  I added Aqua Stickles to her bracelet, Icicle Stickles to her earrings and strap, and Crystal Stickles to the "bubbles".  I added a little Gold Stickles to the flower centers.  It's very sparkly in real life!  A triple-loop seam binding bow and a few gems from my stash finished my card.  I didn't want anything taking away from the beautiful image.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E50, E53, E57

Bubbles and leaves: BG10, BG72, BG75, BG78

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you soon!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday #309

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It rained all day yesterday, so I sure hope it will stop today.  We were enjoying such beautiful Spring weather before all the rain!  Anyway, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are generously sponsored by Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $25 gift voucher to spend in the fabulous Simon Says Stamp store.

Here is this week's fab sketch from Debra:

Here is my card:

You will rarely see me do a card without any image, even if I go the CAS route, but I was a bit perplexed with the sketch, to be honest.  I settled for a simple "celebrate" card with a scrap of patterned paper, a bit of rick rack and a pretty triple-loop seam binding bow.  I used a few paper flowers from my stash. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  That's it!  Not much else to say, I'm afraid.  I'll be back to images again next time!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Sketch Saturday blog and check out the cute and creative takes on the sketch from the rest of the Saturday Girls and our Guest Designer for May, Rachel.  We hope you will play along this week!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Hobby Cutz Challenge #46 (photo inspiration)
Love to Create #114 (say it with flowers)

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi, again.  I'm back with a quick post to share my DT card for the new Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  Again this week, because of my schedule, I've decided to post tonight rather than tomorrow morning.  This was a really hard one, I must say.  It's our first challenge without our dear friend, Linda, and it just seems so sad and strange without her.  Anyway, it's the last challenge of the month, so as always, the theme is "anything goes" with the optional Christmas twist.

Here is my card:

Look at this!  A CAS card from me!  I know it doesn't happen very often, but it's kind of fun to do once in awhile!  I used some scraps from the Carta Bella Christmas Day pad for the pennants.  The adorable image is Fairy Bauble from Make it Crafty.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the holly berries, and although you can't see it well, I added some shimmer to the fairy wings with a Gold Spica pen..  I cut out the image with my Cameo and popped it up on a scalloped circle frame.   The sentiment is from a Flourishes Christmas set, I think, and it's stamped.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: YR20, YR24, YR27, E39, E59
Red: R35, R37, R46, R59
Green: YG01, G21, G94, G99
Gold: Y00, Y11, Y15, YR23

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the wonderful creations from the rest of my DT sistahs.  This is your last chance to get in the running for the April prizes.  We are sponsored by Make it Crafty and we have two $10 GCs up for grabs.  One for the randomly-selected winner and a second one for someone who used a Make it Crafty image for their project!  Can I say incentive here?  Get out your favorite MiC stamp and play along this last week!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches #246 (sketch)
Hobby Cutz Challenge #44 (CAS)
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (CAS)
