Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have something fun planned for the weekend!  For me, it's going to be spent scrambling around with last minute preparations for Christmas.  I am so far behind this year.  I haven't even mailed out any Christmas cards yet.  I have never been so late with things!  Anyway, before working on my cards, I am here with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is a color/photo inspiration.  You can use any coloring medium you'd like, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your card.

Here is the color inspiration photo, courtesy of Design Seeds:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Wassail collection.  The whimsical image is Fairy Celandine from Make it Crafty.  I turned her into a Christmas fairy!  I colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A couple of 3-D poinsettia stickers and a few pearls finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the beautiful projects from my teammies! We hope you will have time to join us for the challenge this week.  Our December sponsor is The East Wind.  The lucky winner will get to choose three digis from The East Wind Etsy shop.  Pop over and check out Unky's fabulous artwork!

Friday Coloring Challenge (on Tuesday)

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope you had a good weekend and a great start to your week. Is anyone but me freaking out that Christmas is only a little more than a week away?  Of course, I am not prepared in the least and I have so much going on right now that I know I will be rushing at the last minute.  Anyway, I am here, although a few days late, with my DT card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "gifts/gift packaging".  Perfect for those last minute cards or gift-card holders, right?  You can use any coloring medium you'd like, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project to enter.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned papers are from the American Crafts Merrymint 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is Aurora Christmas Card by The East Wind.  Let's just say there was a gift card inside!  I colored her with my Copics and added some Polar White Flower Soft to her ear muffs.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few festive stocking stickers finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Good afternoon!  Happy Friday and day after Thanksgiving here in the US!  Hope you had a wonderful time with family and/or friends if you celebrated.  Best of luck to those that venture out on "black Friday"!  Not me, not a chance!  I am popping in to share my DT card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "anything goes'" with the option to add a Christmas twist.  Only a month left until Christmas!  The twist is optional, but you must still have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project.  Any coloring medium is fine.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the patterned papers are from one of the Recollections 6x6 Christmas pads, I think.  The adorable image is Winter Sisters by Vera Lane Studio.  I colored it with my Copics then added a bit of sparkly glitter to the muff and ball on the stocking cap.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A red chevron-striped bow finished my card.

My center-step card base and mats are SU Basic Black and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue colletion.  The fun image is Socialite by Kenny K.  I love her hat! I colored it with my Copics and added some Stickles and Liquid Pearls for accents.  The image and black mat were cut out with my Cameo.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some diamond-shaped gems, alpha stickers and a decorative heart sticker finished my card.

Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi again!  I'm back, as promised, with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  Our theme for this final week of the month is, as always, "anything goes" with the option to add a Christmas twist.  The twist is entirely optional, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project to enter.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Basic Black and the pretty holiday patterned paper is from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Christmas Quartet by Regan Kubecek from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I colored it all with my Copics.  I added a bit of Red and Gold Stickles to the stars and ornaments on the tree.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I didn't add any other embellishments.  I wanted to let the scene take center stage and I also wanted to keep this flat for easy mailing when the time comes.

Here is a closer view of the colored image:

Little Miss Muffet - Special Post

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend! We are still having very hot and humid weather here, so most of the weekend's activities will likely be indoors in the AC!  I am here this morning with a very special post.  Today the Little Misses are coming together to support a very special young lady. Cassandra is the 11-year-old daughter of Barbara, owner of, and illustrator for, Little Miss Muffet Stamps.   Barbara has shared about Cassandra on the Little Miss Muffet blog today, so be sure to stop by to read her touching story.

Cassandra was born deaf.  She currently attends public school, but because of her diminished hearing, she often has difficulty understanding everything that is going on around her in a busy classroom.  Cassandra has asked for the school to provide her with real-time captioning (RTC).  RTC is where a captionist would type what is spoken in class and display it on a tablet so Cassandra could read the information she may have missed.  Without it, she struggles every day to try and guess at the meaning of half-heard words and sentences.  So far, she has been denied access to this valuable resource.

Our special event today is to raise awareness and spread the word about Cassandra's request.  You can read more about her story HERE and you can also sign the petition to grant her access to RTC HERE.  For each signature on the petition, the school administrators receive an e-mail regarding the request.  We want to help Barbara fill their inboxes!

To support the petition and Cassandra, Little Miss Muffet Stamps has released a dozen new images.  One of these images, Polka Dot Pals Rosalie, will be available as a freebie in the Little Miss Muffet store.  You won't want to miss out on that! Most importantly, we want to spread the word and get lots of support for Cassandra! We hope you can help.

Now for my card for Cassandra:

My card base and mats are SU Rose Red and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Plum Seed collection.  The adorable new image is Jr. Hatter Millie.  I have colored her with my Copics. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The banner was created with the Party Banner Metal Die from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  A couple of wooden butterflies and a Wild Orchid Crafts daisy finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet blog and read all about Cassandra and check out the gorgeous projects from the rest of the Little Misses!  Don't forget to pop over to the store and pick up your freebie and most importantly, please sign the petition to help Cassandra get RTC.

One last thing, if you wish to send words of support and encouragement directly to Cassandra, you can send to this address:
