Card Patterns #142

Hello!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  If you are looking for my card for the CSS Alumni Blog Hop, please scroll down one post.  I'm popping in quick to share my DT card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch.  This week, we are being sponsored again by Catherine Pooler, Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Catherine generously provided the DT with some beautiful Stampin' Up products to use for our cards.  I started with a card base of Garden Green and layered with Early Expresso and papers from the Woodland Walk Designer Series Papers pack.  I stamped the bird from SU Friends 24-7 onto Very Vanilla with Memento Rich Cocoa and Tuxedo Black and colored it lightly with Copic markers.  It was cut out and popped up on foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment, also from Friends 24-7, with Early Expresso onto Very Vanilla and cut it out and matted it with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle Nestabilities.  I punched the Vanilla border with the SU Scallop Trim Border Punch and added some Early Expresso ribbon.  A few vanilla pearls finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Card Patterns blog and check out the gorgeous creations from my teammates and our wonderful Guest Designer, Krystyna!  We hope you'll be inspired to play along with us!

Have a great weekend!

Card Patterns Sketch #138

Hi again!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my Guest Designer card for the Our Creative Corner challenge, please scroll down one post.  I'm back to share my DT card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch. (#138).  This week we are once again being sponsored by Catherine Pooler, Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator.

Here is Sketch #138:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I flipped the sketch to vertical for my card.  Catherine generously provided the DT with some great Stampin' Up products for our samples.  I started with a card base of Concord Crush CS and layered with Pretty in Pink and patterned paper from the Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper collection. I created the semi-circle panels with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle dies and another pattern of the beautiful Lap of Luxury DSP.  I stamped the sentiment from the SU Birthday Greetings set with Concord Crush onto Very Vanilla and cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels 4 die.  I sponged the sentiment panel with Pretty in Pink while it was still in the die.  I used the coordinating Concord Crush Poly Twill Ribbon for my bow and added a pink button from my stash.  A few pink roses and  pearl accents made with a Viva Decor Rose Paper Pen finished my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Card Patterns blog to see the fabulous creations from the Card Patterns DT and our wonderful Guest Designer, Berdien.  I know you'll love their creations and hopefully, you will be inspired to play along with us, too!

Card Patterns Sketch #134

Hi there!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!  I'm here to share my DT card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch Challenge.  This week the challenge is sponsored by Catherine Pooler - Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator.

Here is my take on Tracy's fabulous sketch:

Catherine generously provided the DT with a package of Stampin' Up products to use for our cards.  I started with an A2-sized card base of Old Olive cardstock and layered with Baja Breeze and a beautiful paper from the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper collection.  For my middle panel, I punched the bottom layer with the Stampin' Up Scallop Trim punch and layered again with Baja Breeze.  I embossed a layer of Very Vanilla with the Cuttlebug Textile folder and added to the middle layers.  I punched out 1" circles from two other of the Springtime Vintage DSPs and popped them up on foam tape.  A bow of Old Olive Satin Ribbon and a few adhesive pearls finished my design.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Card Patterns blog to see the fantastic creations from my teammates, Catherine Pooler and our very talented Guest Designer, Joanna!  We hope you will be inspired to join us for the challenge!

Have a great weekend!
