Summertime

Hi again!  I know I said I was going to be busy all day and I wouldn't be around, but I was able free up a little time to finish a card I was working on for a few challenges.  I wanted to come back and share it because one of the challenges is ending soon.  My card is for the Corrosive Challenge #151 (feeling punchy - use two or more punches or dies), Seems A Little Sketchy #15, The Squirrel and The Fox #19 (summer) and Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge (girls, girls, girls).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered the sketch panels with sparkly patterned papers from the K & Co. Citronella 12x12 pad.  My adorable image is Berry Betsy from Mayzy Art.  She was one of three "fruit" girls that Mayzy generously offered as freebies for subscribers to Through The Craftroom Door on-line magazine.  They were in the most recent issue.  If you haven't checked out this fabulous magazine yet, you are really missing out!  Colleen Holmes, the founder and leader of The Outlawz, is the new owner of TTCRD and her first issue was packed with wonderful articles and projects. Be sure to check out Mayzy's Etsy shop, too! She has lots of cute images that are a blast to color!  OK, back to my card.  I printed Betsy on Copic X-Press It Blending card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some polka dots to her dress with my Sharpie Paint pen.

Here is a close-up of Berry Betsy:

I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals dies to cut out and mat the image.  I punched a trellis with a Martha Stewart deep edger punch.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some gingham ribbon, a button and a few felt flowers from my stash finished my summery card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always love it when you visit!  Have a great night and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Garden Fairy

Hi there!  Happy Saturday! Hope your holiday weekend is off to a great start!  Although, it's been a busy day, the weather is gorgeous and I managed a little time in the craft room to finish a card I was working on.  My card is for a few challenges: the May/June challenge on Elisabeth Bell's World (sketch challenge), the May Blog Hop Challenge on The Digi Bells Blog (stitching and an Elisabeth Bell image), Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge (anything goes), Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #164 (in the garden), Crafts and Me Challenge (fabulous flowers) and another entry for the Oozak Challenge #2 (spring flowers).  Phew - not sure how I kept these straight, but I think I covered everything!

Here is the EBW sketch:

Here is my card for all the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Pale Plum and layered with soft, flowery papers from the Prima Meadow Lark 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched around all the panels of the sketch.  My sweet Elisabeth Bell image is Twinkle Toes Flutter from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I stamped her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I did a little highlighting with my Prismacolor pencils and I added a bit of Stickles to her wings and the flower centers.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A doily, a few lavender pearls and three Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope to see you again soon!

Kindness

Hi again!  I know...first I'm not here at all and then I come twice on the same day!  I managed to finish a card for a few challenges I like and figured I'd go ahead and get it posted.  It's for Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge #151 (anything goes), Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge (ribbon or twine) and 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #45 (diecuts and/or punches).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Vintage Violet and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched around all the panels.  I used Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and Parisian Accents diecuts for my frame and corner accents.  I added Buttercup Liquid Pearls to both.  My sweet Magnolia image is Tilda Holding Daffodil from the Butterfly Dreams collection.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the daffodil.  I cut her out and popped her up on the motif frame.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A ribbon bow and button and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished up my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  That's it for me for today.  See you tomorrow for another fun Mo's DP2 Challenge!

Paris in Springtime

Hi again!  I didn't think I'd be back today because we've been gone all day and are going back out shortly, but I wanted to pop in to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I try to do when I have time.  It is for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #30 (easel, step or shaped cards), Craft Your Passion Challenge #101 (easel card) and Bunny Zoe's Monthly challenge (vintage/shabby chic).

Here is my easel card for the challenges:

I started with an easel card base of SU River Rock and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Le Romantique 8x8 pad.  I created my little Paris scene with 3 images: Emily Rose Hatter and Penny Farthing from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Ivy Window Wall from Make it Crafty.  They were all part of the recent Paris release from Three Companies Team Up (Whimsy Stamps, Make it Crafty and Little Miss Muffet Stamps).  I was lucky to have won several digis and rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet during their Paris blog hop.  Thanks, Barbara! I merged the three images then printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics.  I added a triple loop bow of hand-dyed seam binding and some Wild Orchids Crafts roses and Gold Filgree Corners for a vintage look.  The easel stop was made with the Cheery Lynn Border Carnivale die.  I added a few more roses to that to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you soon!

Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge - Guest Designer

Happy Monday morning!  It's a super early post for me (actually, I'm still sleeping - lol!), but I am so excited today to be sharing the card I made for the new monthly challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog!  I was so thrilled to be invited to be Guest Designer for this months' challenge! Tracy picked the theme of "celebrations"  - any kind of celebration you'd like.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I chose to celebrate the coming of spring, which is going to be very welcome here!  Nikki generously provided me with this adorable Magnolia stamp to create my card.  It is Tilda Loves Flowers from the new Sweet Crazy Love collection.   You can find it in the Bunny Zoe's Crafts store here.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White  Iridescent cardstock and colored her with Copics.   She's framed with a Cheery Lynn Italian Flourish Doily die.  My beautiful patterned paper is from the Prima Alla-Prima pad.  I added a Turquoise Prima Rose and two Kaisercraft Coconut Paper Blooms that I airbrushed with Copics to match my papers.  A satin bow and button and a few rhinestones from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Bunny Zoe's Crafts Challenge Blog and check out the new challenge and the gorgeous creations from the design team!  I am sure you will be inspired to play along!

Have a great day!
