Red Guitar

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  I wanted to share a card I made for a couple challenges I enjoy doing when I have time.  I managed to finish this up after it sat on my desk for a couple of days.  I'll make it short and sweet!

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Paradise Beach 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Playing Guitar from Lili of the Valley. I stamped him on MiC Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I fussy cut the image and popped it up over a hexagon frame I cut with my Cameo.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few musical notes (from the Silhouette store) and a chevron-striped bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again.  I was out most of the day, but I will be around to visit as soon as I can.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Lili of The Valley Monthly Challenge (name that tune; I used Red Guitar by Kris Allen)
Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 #6 (sketch)
A Creative Romance (get sentimental)
Cute Card Thursday #308 (clever cutting)

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  It's supposed to rain today and all weekend, so I expect my activities will be mostly indoors.  Right now, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Alcohol Marker Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "shoes".  We are celebrating National Put On Your Shoes Day!  You didn't know about that one, did you? We want to see something to do with shoes on your project.  Just remember that you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) to enter.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Collectable "Notable" 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Emma Shoes from Lili of the Valley.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added sparkle here and there with Stickles. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some Liquid Pearl accents around the frame and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fun shoe creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along!  We have a new sponsor for our December challenges.  Jo Davies, from Time For Tea Designs, is offering 3 digis of the winner's choice to one randomly-selected participant in this month's challenges.  Jo has so many adorable digis in her Etsy shop and they are so fun to color!  There are always lots of great site-wide prizes also up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch and Stamp #185 (Kim's sketch)
Through The Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)

Pretty in Pink

Hi again!  I'm back with a second and very quick post to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I enjoy.  I haven't had much of a chance to make non-DT cards since my surgery, but this one was quick and easy to put together so I gave it a go.

Here is my girly-pink card:

My card base and mats are SU Pretty in Pink and the patterned paper is from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Girl 6x6 pad.  The darling image is Little Ballerina from Lili of the Valley.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Diamond Glitter to her tu-tu and the hearts on her headband.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I finished my card with a double-loop pink satin bow, a few Ivory Flower Shape Flatback Pearls, a Wild Orchid Crafts Pale Pink Cosmos Daisy and a couple of Wild Orchid Crafts Baby Pink and White Sweetheart Blossoms.  You can get all of these embellishments at The Ribbon Girl on-line shop.

Three Little Angels

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is off to a great start!  The skies are dark here and rumbling with thunder.  It's a good day to be inside!  In between my other chores, I finished a little Christmas card I had in the works.  It is for two challenges: the Lili of the Valley Monthly Challenge (make it festive) and the new Twisted Tuesday Challenge (Challenge: Christmas-themed project; Twist: make it CAS).

Here is my simple Christmas card:

This is about as CAS as it gets for me!  I am trying to be more conscious of the mail-ability of my holiday cards this year.  This one shouldn't be too bad.  I embossed my heavy base weight white card with the Cuttlebug Rebecca frame embossing folder.  The precious image is Three Little Angels from Lili of the Valley.  I love this stamp, which was a gift from my Outlawz teammie, Tress.  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Gold Stickles to their wings and hairbands and Christmas White glitter to the clouds to make them shimmer.  I framed the image with Spellbinders Petite Ovals to which I added some pearl highlights with White Opal Liquid Pearls.  A few gold gems from my stash finished my card.

Have a great evening and see you soon!

Alcohol Marker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and you've got some fun plans for the weekend!  It has finally stopped raining here, at least for awhile.  It didn't rain at all yesterday and the sun is shining this morning!  I was beginning to think we would need a boat to get around!  Anyway, before I get on with my day, I am here to post my DT card for this week's Alcohol Marker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  Given that it is the last Friday of the month, our theme is the ever popular, "anything goes" and as always, we offer the Christmas twist to those who would like to add a Christmas card to their stash.  It's completely optional to do so.  The only requirement is that you have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers, top and bottom, are from the My Mind's Eye All Is Bright 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Three Little Angels from Lili of The Valley.  It was one of the wonderful goodies in the fabulous blog candy I won from my DT sister, Tress.  Isn't it precious?  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my Copics.  I added Star Dust Stickles to the clouds, Golden Rod Stickles to the star garlands in their hair and Diamond Stickles to their little wings.  Some wide lace and three Imaginisce chipboard alpha stickers, spelling out JOY, finished my card.  Another flat design for easy mailing!

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will be inspired to play along!  It's your last chance to get in on the draw for a terrific prize from our July sponsor, Bombshell Stamps.  There are also lots of  fantastic site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge #48 (sketch by Carole, which I flipped one turn to accommodate my image)
Divas by Design (anything goes)
Crafting For All Seasons #57 (Christmas in July)

It's All About The Cake

Hello, friends!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope the first half of your week has been great and the rest will be even better!  It continues to be busy around here, but I did manage to finish up a card today that I'm here to share with you.  It is for the Lili of The Valley Birthday Competition.  LOTV is turning 9 and they are celebrating with lots of fun events, including this competition.  Be sure to check out the LOTV's Ideas to Inspire blog for all the details!

Here is my birthday card:

My card base and mats are SU Tempting Turquoise and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Hip Hooray collection.  The adorable image is Rosie With Cake from the Girlie section of the Lili of The Valley store.  I stamped her on Make it Colour Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out and popped her up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   I used my Cameo to cut a zig zag border out of turquoise holographic paper and added a couple of holographic present stickers from Jolee's.  It was really hard to get a good pic of the holographic stuff - sorry! You probably can't tell, but one present is pink and the other is orange. A bit of Lime Green and Orange Stickles finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to come by and visit your blogs before the start of American Idol (yep, got sucked in again).

Your Day To Shine

Hi again!  Didn't expect to see me again so soon, did you?  This is my second post today, so if you are looking for my GD card for Jackson's Digital Expressions, please scroll down one post.  I'm back because I managed to finish up a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do and the deadlines were coming up fast.  My card is for this week's Lili's Little Fairies Challenge (anything goes), Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #162 (a sketch and stamped image) and One Stop Craft Challenge #181 (celebrations).

Here is the Stamptacular Sunday sketch:

Here is my card:

I chose birthday as my celebration of OSCC.  I started with a card base of SU Ruby Red and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Picadilly 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is A Special Gift from Lili of The Valley.  She can be found in the LOTV online store here.  I stamped her on Copic X-Press-It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles to the dots on her party dress, the ribbon on the gift and the stars.    The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some SU seam binding and a couple of red buttons finished up my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Hope you have a fantastic day! See you soon!

Hugs and Kisses

Hi there!  I know what you are thinking - "here she is again"!  Sorry, but I finished up another card I was working on and I wanted to come by and share it.  It is for a couple of challenges: Lili's Little Fairies Challenge (diamonds and pearls), Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Dawny's sketch) and another for Challenge #1 on the Oozak blog (anything goes).

Here is the SSS Sketch:

And here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Pool Party and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Howdy Dowdy 6x6 pad.  I can't stop using these beautiful papers!  My adorable Lili of the Valley stamp is Summer Perfect Present.  You can find it in the LOTV on-line shop here.  I was lucky enough to have received a gift voucher for the LOTV store when I won a recent challenge they sponsored.  I stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added some tiny pearls to the bows and the flower centers.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A peach-colored "diamond" flourish, some pearls and a double loop satin bow finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always appreciate it when you do!  I promise that's it for me for today as I will be out this evening!

Have a wonderful weekend!
