Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good afternoon!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a good week and your weekend holds some fun plans!  We are supposed to have thunderstorms and rain most of the weekend, so there won't be many outdoor activities for us, I don't think.  I am here now with my DT card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz.  The themes this week is "anything goes" with the option to add a Christmas twist.  The twist is completely optional, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project.

Here is my card:

I decided to do the Christmas twist.  No time like the present to get a jump start on Christmas cards!  My card base and mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee Noel collection.  The beautiful image is The Gift by Norma J. Burnell available from Sweet Pea Stamps and Norma's Fairy Tangles Art Etsy Shop.  I colored it with my Copics.  I added lots of colors of Stickles for extra sparkle and I also added Gold Liquid Pearls to her necklace and the pearls in her hair.  A triple-loop seam binding bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the gorgeous creations from my talented teammies!  We hope you will find time to join us for the challenge!  This is the last week to get in on the fabulous prize from our June sponsor, Fairy Tangles Art (Norma J. Burnell).  Norma is offering the lucky winner three digis of their choice from her Fairy Tangles Art Etsy shop.  Go have a look at her awesome artwork!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Incy Wincy Challenge (anything goes)
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (anything goes)
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #265 (Christmas)
Creative Fingers Challenge #85 (anything goes)
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 (revisited sketch)

Art by Mi Ran - Guest Designer

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Can't believe it's the last weekend before Christmas!  I don't even want to think about what needs to be done before then, so I will just push on with my post for today!  I am here with my second Guest Designer post for the Art by Mi Ran Showcase blog.  I have so enjoyed my GD stint this month! We are still following along with the "snowflakes" theme and here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Cherry cobbler and the patterned papers are from the My Minds Eye Vintage Christmas 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Winter Coloring Page, Big-Eyed Girl from Art by Mi Ran.  I colored her with my Copics, then added a bit of glitter to the pom poms and the snowflakes on her scarf.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A couple of Memory Box Snowflake Corner die cuts and a large Cheery Lynn snowflake with a gem finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be taking a little break over the next few days to get ready for Christmas and just enjoy a little down time.  I will be back with a few new creations next week!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 #38 (sketch)
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Winter inspiration)

Here is my card with #4:

My card base and mats are SU Ruby Red and the patterned paper is from the October Afternoon Holiday Style 8x8 pad.  I printed the image on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added lots of Eucalyptus Stickles to the flourish.  It's hard to see all the sparkle in this photo. I framed the image with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and added some bling to the corners.  A double-loop taffeta bow finished my simple design.

Eat More Cake

Hi There!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I've been so busy these last couple of days, I haven't had much time for crafting.  I did manage to make one card for a couple of challenges I like to do so I'm quickly sharing it so I don't miss the deadline for one of them.  It is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #153, Simon Says Stamp (Sweet Tooth) and Basic Grey Challenges #68 (anything goes -use Basic Grey).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Almost Amethyst and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Stella Birthday- Eat More Cake from Bugaboo Stamps.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.  I added a bunch of Stickles to the cake and Glossy Accents to her glasses and the balloon.  I added a border punched with a Martha Stewart Edger Punch.  A satin bow, button and a bit of Baker's Twine finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to be back soon with a couple of things I'm still working on.

Have a great night!

A Couple of Cards

Hi there!  Hope you're having a good weekend so far!  Things have finally calmed down a little and I was able to complete a couple of cards I was working on.   I hope I'll gradually get caught up on all my cards and on visiting your blogs.  I am getting there!

My first card is for Aud Sentiments Challenge #46 where the theme was "love".  Paulette from Create With TLC generously offered a freebie love sentiment on the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog that we could use for our creation.  It was so cute, I decided to use it for my card.

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Sunshine 6x6 pad.  I used Paulette's freebie (If Love Were A Movie...) and also a couple of tickets from Create With TLC that Paulette shared as part of the February Club.  The popcorn box is from DRS Designs.  I did a little coloring with Copics and added a bit of Stickles to the salt on the popcorn.  A stitched ribbon bow finished my card.

I created a second card for the Create With TLC DT using a sentiment from a new set called Women Equal Strength which can be found in the Create With TLC store.  I thought it paired perfectly with this wonderful digi image from Robert Jackson called She's Fierce.  It can be found on Robert's site here.  I was very lucky to have won a couple of his fantastic images during my friend Chana's blog contest.

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with SU Pool Party and patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Chapter One 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  I colored the image with Copic markers and added some Star Dust Stickles, Glossy Accents and adhesive pearls to her outfit and shoes for a little extra detail.  A pearl and rhinestone flourish, a sheer ribbon bow and a Webster's Pages Sparkler with an added pearl finished my second card.  I'm entering this in this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge, too.  It was "anything goes" this time.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great rest of the weekend and hope to see you again soon!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi there!  Hope your Friday has been great and you are ready to start on a fun weekend!  I'm popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.  First, it's for a little contest going on over at the Digi Bells Blog to celebrate the release of a brand new Elisabeth Bell digital image called "Click".  You get to enter a card created with any Elisabeth Bell image (anything goes) to be entered to win the adorable new image.  I jumped all over it!  My card is also for this month's Belles 'n Whistles challenge which had a theme of "frosty winter".  Lastly, I am entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp challenge, which was a sketch challenge.

Here is the SSS sketch from Domi:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I flipped the sketch to horizontal for my card.  I started with a card base of SU Blue Bayou and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 pad.  My cute EB image is from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection called Frosty The Snowman.  You can find it here.  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics (E00, E000, E11, BG78, BG75, BG72, BG70, E37, E35, E33, E31, E27, E25, E23, W5, W3, W1).  I added a bit of ice glitter to their hats.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Warm Winter Wishes. The doily was cut with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die.  I punched a few snowflakes with MS punches and added pearls to their centers.  Some stitched ribbon and a few buttons from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look!  Have a fantastic weekend and see you soon!

Card For a Couple of Challenges

Hi again!  I'm back with another quick post because I am going to be busy the rest of the day and I knew I wouldn't get another chance to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do when I can.  My card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #136-73, Craft Your Passion Challenge #92 (mythical creatures) and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (spots &/or stripes).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of Papertrey Spring Moss and layered with patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden 6x6 pad.  The papers had both spots and stripes.  My wonderful image is called Silver Fairy.  She is one of the Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet.  She can be found as a digi here.  I printed her on Cryogen White Iridescent and colored her with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the photo, but I added a bit of sparkle here and there with Stickles and Spica pens.  I kept my embellishments very simple so the image would be the focal point. I just added some Spring Moss ribbon and two Wild Orchid Crafts roses and that was it.
Thanks for stopping by again!  There is lots going on for the weekend - a StampTV Center Stage Alumni Blog Hop tonight and the Create With TLC DT Blog Hop tomorrow (January 14, 8:30 AM PST). Hope you'll pop back for both!

Another Challenge Card

Good morning!  Can it be Monday again already?  Where did the weekend go?  I hope you had a good one.  I'm here early this morning to share a card I made for a few more challenges I like to do.  This one is for the Just Us Girls Challenge #118 (a sketch challenge), the current B 'n W Challenge (use warm earth colors) and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (use something new).

Here is the JUGS sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Bravo Burgundy and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall 6x6 pad.  My "something new" is my new Belles 'n Whistles stamp, A Pen Friend.  It can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store here.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I framed the image with a diecut made with my Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die.   A triple-loop bow of dyed seam binding and a Prima rose finished my card.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day and I'll see you soon!

"Fancy" Birthday

Hello, again.  I sure didn't think I'd be back with another post today, but I wanted to share a card I made for a couple of challenges and I needed to get it posted before tomorrow. My card is for the November/December Challenge on Elisabeth Bell's World, which was a sketch challenge.  It is also for this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Let's Play BINGO.  I chose Row A: Ribbon/Twine, Gems, Glitter/Sparkle.  I also added a flower (from C2).

Here is the sketch we had to follow for the EBW challenge:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I started with a card base of SU Rose Red and used patterned papers from the Prima Madeline 6x6 pad.  I added a doily cut from Rose Red with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die. To the middle panel, I added borders cut from Cryogen White with the Cheery Lynn Carnivale Border die.   My beautiful image is Fancy.  She is from The Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.  I was so lucky to have won that set during the release last month!  I stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added a few Stickles and some gems for some sparkle.  The sentiment tickets are from Papertrey's Just The Ticket set.  This set was a sweet gift from Lisa Kind.  Thanks, Lisa!  A triple loop satin bow and a Wild Orchid Crafts rose finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  If you are off for the rest of the holiday season, many thanks for your visits and I wish you and yours the best for the new year!

One Last Christmas Card

Hi there!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  It's been busy here so far, but I relieved to have all my mailing done.  I thought I was completely done with Christmas cards, but I thought of one more I needed so I called on a few challenges I like to do to give me the inspiration to get it done.  My card is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (a sketch), Basic Grey Challenges #59 (anything goes) and the Craft Your Passion Holiday Havoc Blog Hop Challenge (create a holiday project with at least one digital stamp).

Here is the Simon Says Stamp sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a 5 1/2" sqaure card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Jovial 6x6 pad.  I added some velvet trims from various of the Webster's Pages Trim Cards. My adorable image is a digi from The Paper Shelter called Cookies For Santa.  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics.  I added a bunch of Stickles to the decorations on the tree and some Glossy Accents to the glass of milk and the tree pot.  The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities.  A couple of Basic Grey buttons from my stash and 3 Jolee's shimmery poinsettia stickers finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm not sure how often I'll have a chance to post this week, but for sure, I'll be back on Friday with my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz!  Have a great night!

Vintage Santa(s)

Hi there! It's getting late for me, but I still wanted to drop in and share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  I am still fighting this crummy cold and I definitely don't feel up to snuff, but I am still valiantly trying to get all my Christmas cards done before Friday.  The challenges are helping motivate me to reach my goal.  Anyway, my card is for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge #113 (sketch challenge), Color Throwdown #171 and the Simon Says Stamp challenge (photo inspiration).

Here is the JUGS sketch:

Here is the Color Throwdown #171 swatch:

Finally, here is my card for the three challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Cranberry Tart and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6x6 pad.   I stamped the vintage Santa image from Crafty Secrets Vintage Christmas set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. I did a little sponging with Antique Linen Distress Ink when I finished coloring.  The image and mat were cut with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities.  I added some Gold Liquid Pearls to the scalloped mat.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Verses set from Layers of Color.  I was so lucky to have won this set in a recent challenge I entered. It was stamped with SU Soft Suede.  An olive gingham ribbon bow finished my card.

Just for fun, while I was at it, I made another card with a similar style.  I used the same sketch, colors and stamps, but changed out the card base to SU Bravo Burgundy and the patterned paper to My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas.  I used used Olive Grosgrain and White Opal Liquid Pearls on this one.

OK, that's it for me tonight.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I really appreciate your visits and your kind comments!  Hope to see you again soon!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  I hope that those who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I am still stuffed from yesterday!  I don't do Black Friday shopping, but I have a bunch of other stuff to do today, so before I head off, I'm popping in to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "anything goes" - always a favorite! My card is also for a couple of other challenges I like to do - Sketch Saturday #182 and Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Tag, You're It - use a tag).

Here is the Sketch Saturday Sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Handsome Hunter and layered with GKD Cranberry Tart and a stitched patchwork of papers from the Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6x6 pad.  My wonderful Santa is Ragged Santa from Mo's Digital Pencil.  He can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed him on Cryogen White and colored with Copics.  I added a bit of Ice Glitter to the "fur" on his coat.  He is cut out and matted with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities.  My sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The tag was created with Spellbinders Tag Shapes 3.  A couple of holly stickers and a few gold adhesive pearls finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous projects from my amazingly talented teammates and our wonderful November Guest Designer, Lorraine!  We hope you'll join in on the fun this week!

Enjoy your day and hope to see you again soon!

Many Thanks and A Few Challenges

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  It's been another busy day for me, but I thought I'd pop in quick to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  Lucky for me, they all had the same theme this week!  With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's no surprise that a lot of challenges are having a Thanks/Thanksgiving theme.  My card is for the Our Creative Corner Challenge (Pumpkin or Pumpkin Pie), the Corrosive Challenge #137 (Give Thanks), the Through The Craftroom Door Challenge #14 (Giving Thanks - had to use the word thanks) and finally, the Simons Says Stamp Challenge (Thanksgiving/Thanks).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a square card base of SU Pumpkin Pie and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall 6x6 pad.  I stamped the cornucopia from Impression Obsession with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored it with Copics.   The sentiment is from an old retired SU set, but I'm not sure of the name of it.  I added a brown pearl flourish and a triple-loop wrinkled ribbon bow.  Some punched leaves and a small orange rose finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

Card for A Few Challenges

Hi there!  Hope you've had a great day!  Mine was super busy with appointments and other stuff so I'm just now getting to post the card I made for three challenges I like to do when I can find the time.  My card is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Photo Inspiration), Sketch Saturday Challenge #181 and Basic Grey Challenge #57 (Mix 'n' Match).

Here is the photo inspiration for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge:

Here is the sketch for Sketch Saturday #181:

And here is my card for the three challenges:

I was inspired by the rich red, green and blue colors in the inspiration photo.  I started with a square card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with a mix of patterned papers from the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding, Jovial and Mistletoe & Pears collections.  The sentiment was created with alpha stickers from the Basic Grey Fruitcake collection.  I stamped Tilda Hanging Ornaments with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I added some Stickles to the ornaments for a little sparkle.  The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Petite Oval Nestabilities.  A few poinsettia stickers finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening and see you soon!
