Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations

Good morning! It's Wednesday and time for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share new creations with you.  Today's post is bittersweet for me as it is my last one as part of the current design team.  For a number of personal reasons, I decided not to try out for another term, but I am surely going to miss working with Linda, Emma Lou and my wonderful teammates. Linda and Emma Lou have been so very generous and inspiring and I will always be grateful to have had the opportunity to design for such a fantastic company!  Of course, I will continue to follow the Heartfelt Creations blog and the blogs of the new team.  Congratulations to those on the current team who are staying on and to the very talented new members that were announced today!

Here is one of my projects shared on the Heartfelt Creations blog today:

All of the instructions for creating this card can be found on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  Briefly I started with a card base of GKD heavy base weight white CS and layered with a Lipstick Red panel embossed with one of the Sizzix Ornate Frames embossing folders.  I added a doily created with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die.  I stamped the candle from HCPC 3419 Holiday Poinsettia Candle several times onto GKD Lipstick Red, Fresh Asparagus and Sweet Corn CS.  I cut out the green holly leaves from Fresh Asparagus and the candle from Sweet Corn with scissors.  I cut out the poinsettias from Lipstick Red with Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Shapeabilities.  I sponged the pieces with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw and Fired Brick Distress Ink and paper pieced the base image.  The poinsettias were popped up on foam tape.  I added some gold seed beads to the flower center.  I added Liquid Applique to the candle to look like melting wax and Scattered Straw and Gold Stickles to the flame.  The sentiment from HCPC 3430 Shepherd Scene was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and added to the card with Scor-Tape as shown.

My card is also for the current weekly challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog where the requirements were to use a die, use a Christmas sentiment, use some kind of light and use red and white as the primary colors.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the design team and to see the announcement about the new design team!

Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations

Good morning!  Can it possibly be Wednesday again!  The time has flown past since last week, but I always love Wednesdays because the Heartfelt Creations Design Team gets to share all new creations with you!  As always, my teammates have outdone themselves with their gorgeous projects so you won't want to miss stopping by the Heartfelt Creations blog to see their inspiring designs!

Here is one of my projects that was shared today:

All the details for creating this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  I kept this one very simple.  I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White and embossed the front with the SU Tulip Frame embossing folder.  I made a mask from scrap paper using a Spellbinders Classic Circle die.  With the mask in place, I stamped the row of trees from HCPC 3432 Magnificent Spruce Trees onto the card front with Memento Bamboo Leaves.  I highlighted the image with Copic markers.  With the mask in place again, I sponged the background with Memento Summer Sky, New Sprout and Dandelion.  I added some Aleene's Tacky Glue to the bottom of the masked circle and added Polar White Flower Soft for the snow.  I used my Sharpie White Poster Paint pen to add the effect of falling snow.  I finished my card by stamping the sentiment from HCPC 3421 Dove Of Peace set with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to see you again soon!

All of the instructions for creating this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  Briefly, I started with a 5 1/2" square card base of SU Bravo Burgundy and layered with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas 6x6 pad.  I cut a 4 1/2" square of GKD Heavy Base Weight Ivory.  I patted the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder with Encore Metallic Gold ink then embossed the top portion of my square in the Cuttlebug.  I stamped the sentiment from HCPC 3419 Holiday Poinsettia Candle set with Versamark onto the bottom, unembossed section and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  On a separate piece of ivory cardstock, I stamped the dove from HCPC 3421 Dove of Peace set with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  The dove was cut out with HCD715 Christmas Cheer Die. Good morning!  It's Wednesday and you know that means it's time for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share their new projects with you.  The team really outdid themselves with their creativity this week so you won't want to miss visiting the Heartfelt Creations blog this week!

Here is one of my projects that was shared this week:

And here is the inside:

All the detailed instructions for recreating this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  I decided to make a gatefold card with a belly band to keep it closed.  I started with a card base of SU Chocolate Chip and layered the inside and outside with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Sweet Threads collection.  I created the belly band from Chocolate Chip CS, layered with one of the solids from the Sweet Threads collection and held together with Scor-Tape.  I stamped the basket from HCPC 3410 Decorative Basket set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored it with Copic markers. I cut out the basket with HCD 714 Decorative Layered Basket Die.  I stamped three each of the three smallest flowers from HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers and three of the smallest leaves from HCPC 3314 Elegant Single Leaves onto Cryogen White and colored them with Copics also.  The flowers were cut out with HCD 701 Posy Patch dies and the leaves with HCD 704 Perfect Petal dies.  After shaping the flowers and leaves with a stylus, they were assembled with Zip Dry Glue and adhered to the basket.  The finished basket was adhered to the belly band with foam tape.  I added some adhesive pearls to the basket and flower centers and a little bow to the basket handle.  On the inside, I stitched an ivory panel to Chocolate Chip CS.  The sentiment from HCPC 3412 Botanical Floral Basket was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on the inner panel.

Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations

Good morning!  Wow, it's Wednesday again!  It's always one of my favorite days because Wednesday is when the Heartfelt Creations Design Team shares new projects on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  As always, my amazingly talented teammates have presented some gorgeous projects to inspire you! Be sure to stop by and see what I mean!

Here is one of my projects on the Heartfelt Creations blog today:

For some reason, I felt like getting a start on my Christmas cards so I went in that direction with my project.  I started with a card base of SU Handsome Hunter.  I cut a panel of Cryogen White Iridescent and embossed it with the SU Framed Tulips embossing folder.  I rubbed the raised borders with Gold Viva Decor Inka-Gold.  Next I stamped the fern from HCPC 3408 Woodland Fern set with Pine Needles Distress Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I think this solid fern works great as a rustic tree.  I used Gold Liquid Pearls to make the ornaments and the star on the tree.  The image panel was wrapped with Hunter sheer ribbon and some gold cord then adhered to the card base with Zip Dry Glue.  It's not often I go clean and simple, but I ended up liking the look and will probably do this more in the future.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the Heartfelt Creations blog to see this week's projects as well as a sneak peek of the Christmas Cheer Collection being released on September 13 at 12:00 AM EDT!  See you soon!

Here is a project of mine that was shown today:

I really love the Decorative Basket collection that was released this month.  The beautiful stamps and dies can be used in so many different ways!  As you can see, I decided to get a start on some Christmas cards this week.  All the instructions for creating this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog today.  Briefly I started with a 6" square card base of SU Old Olive and layered with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Jovial collection from last year.  The middle panel of patterned paper was framed with a Spellbinders Lacey Squares diecut.  I cut out a solid basket from Old Olive and an open basket from Naturals White using HCD 714 Decorative Layered Basket dies.  The basket was popped up on Pop Dots.  I stamped several poinsettias from HCPC 2292 Regal Poinsettias 1 with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White.  I also stamped some leaves from HCPC 3390 Bella Rose Leaves.  All images were colored with Copic markers.  I cut out the leaves with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die and the flowers with a Spellbinders Blossoms Two die. The flowers and leaves were shaped with a stylus and layered onto the basket with Pop Dots and foam tape.  A few adhesive rhinestones and a little satin bow finished my holiday card.

Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations

Good morning (it is still morning, right?)!  I'm posting late again today - I can't seem to keep a stable internet connection here!  As soon as it seems to be fine, it goes out again.  I sure hope to get it resolved soon, because this makes me crazy (even crazier than usual)! Anyway, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share new projects to inspire you.  Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog to see the gorgeous creations my team mates have shared today!  You won't be disappointed!

Here is one of my projects that was shown today:

I decided to create a pretty box that could be used for storing A2 sized cards and envies, but this box could have many other decorative uses.  I used a tutorial I found on StampTV for the construction of the box which starts with an empty Kleenex box.  All the dimensions and instructions for assembling the box are mentioned in the tutorial.  I used GKD Fresh Asparagus for the base box cover.  The patterned paper is all from the Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime collection.  To decorate the front of the box, I stamped the basket from the HCPC 3411 Woven Basket set wth Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent.  I also stamped some flowers from HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 and some leaves from HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley onto Cryogen.  All the images were colored with Copic markers.  I cut out the basket with HCD 714 Decorative Layered Basket Die and popped it up on the front of the box with foam tape.  I cut out the flowers with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies and the leaves with a Spellbinders Foliage die.  After shaping the flowers and leaves with a stylus, they were adhered to the basket with Zip Dry glue and layered with Pop Dots. Some adhesive pearls in the flower centers finished my altered tissue box.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the Heartfelt Creations blog for some wonderful inspiration!  Now, I'm off to check out some blogs while my internet is still working!  Have a great day!

Good morning!  I'm off to a bit of a late start today, but it's Wednesday and that means it's time again for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share new projects with you!  I've been so busy unpacking and trying to get settled that this is the first time I've seen some of my teammates' projects for the week and all I can say is WOW!  You won't want to miss their gorgeous creations, that's for sure!

Here is one of my projects that was shared on the Heartfelt Creations blog this week:

Sorry for the less than perfect photo.  I took it before I moved and all my lights were already packed so it was hard to get a good photo of the sparkle in the patterned paper and on the flowers.  Anyway, all the instructions for making this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog today.  Briefly, I started with a 6" square caard base of SU Old Olive and layered with one of the gorgeous papers from the GDC Studios Soul Food collection.  I cut out a window from Cryogen White Iridescent using HCD 708 Decorative Window Scene Die. It was sprtized with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist and adhered to the card base.  I stamped the flowers from HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 and HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 wth Memento Rich Cocoa onto Rose Red, Riding Hood Red and So Saffron cardstock.  The leaves from HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley were stamped onto Old Olive.  The flowers were cut out with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies and the leaves with a Spellbinders Foliage die.  The flowers were rubbed with Rose, Lava Red and Old Gold/Copper Inka Gold from Viva Decor. The leaves were rubbed with Lava Green Inka Gold.  Inka Gold is available here from Heartfelt Creations.  The flowers and leaves were shaped then adhered with Zip Dry glue. Some rhinestones in the flower centers and an antique gold silk bow finished my card.

Thanks so much for dropping by!  I know I haven't been very good about getting to everyone's blogs during my move, but I hope that things will begin to settle down so I can get back to visiting and commenting very soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Here is one of my cards that was posted today:

All of the instructions for making this card are available on the Heartfelt Creations blog today.  Sorry for the "less than perfect" lighting.  My usual set-up is all packed up.  Briefly, I started with a 6" square card base of SU Rose Red and layered with patterned paper from the Prima Annalee 6x6 pad.  I cut a large flourish from Cryogen White using a HCD 711 Decorative Dutch Iris die.  I spritzed the flourish with Pearl Glimmer Mist and adhered it to the card base.  I stamped the floral swirl from HCPC 3409 Tropical Floral Swirls with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White. I also stamped some extra single flowers from HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2.  All of the images were colored with Copic markers. The extra flowers were cut out with Spellbinders Rose Creations Shapeabilities, shaped, then popped up on the main floral swirl image. A big pink satin bow and some pearls in the flower centers finished my card.

Many thanks for stopping by!  I can't wait to get settled in my new house and get back to visiting everyone's blogs!  I hope you'll forgive me for my lack of comments during this huge transition for me and my family.

Here is my shoe for the hop:

I used a wonderful shoe template found here.  I printed the shoe template onto Core'dinations Burgundy cardstock then traced the shoe front, toe and heel onto patterned paper from the Kaisercraft English Rose Collection. I also traced an additional sole onto the Burgundy CS.  All pieces were cut out with scissors.
The shoe was assembled from the pieces using the tutorial for the template. I stamped three flowers from the HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers set with SU Cranberry Crisp onto patterned paper and cut them out with HCD 701 Posy Patch Die.  I stamped two leaves from HCPC 3314 Elegant Single Leaves set onto Patterned paper and cut them out with HCD 704 Perfect Petals die. The rose was created from the flowers roughly following this tutorial.  The rose was spritzed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The leaves were spritzed with Honeydew Glimmer Mist.  I finished my shoe with American Crafts velvet rick rack, some Prima Lace and a row of adhesive pearls.

Here is a card I also made this week:

All the instructions for making the card are on the Heartfelt Creations Blog today.  Briefly, I used a card base of SU Sage Shadow and patterned paper from the K & Co. Madeline 8x8 pad.  I stamped the bell from HCPC 3398 Bella Rose Wedding and colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped extra posies from HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers and rosebuds from HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose and also colored them with Copics.  The posies were cut out with HCD 701 Posy Patch Die and the rosebuds with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die. The extra flowers were popped up.  I cut out a lace border with HCD 713 Lace Border Die and wove some satin ribbon through the diecut.  This was layered onto the patterned paper using Zip Dry Glue.  The inside was finished with a sentiment from HCPC 3404 Wedding Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now dance on over to Cheryl's blog to see what amazing creations she has to share with you!

Have a great day!

Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations

Good morning!  It's Wednesday and of course, that means it time again for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share new creations with you!  Wait until you see the projects posted on the Heartfelt Creations blog today!  Amazing!  I know I am loving working with the gorgeous stamps and the beautiful new die from the Heartfelt Wedding Collection!

Here is one of my cards that was posted on the blog this week:

And this is the inside:

All of the instructions for creating this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  Briefly, my card base is a 5 1/2 in. square of Always Artichoke.  The patterned paper is from the Prima Botanicals collection. I stamped the heart from HCPC 3402 Bella Rose Heart with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent.  I also stamped three extra roses from the HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose set.  All images were colored with Copic markers.  The extra roses were cut out with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die and layered onto the base image with foam tape. The sentiment (on outside and continuing to inside) from HCPC 3402 Bella Rose Heart was stamped with Versamark and Always Artichoke and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added Polar White Flower Soft to the baby's breath for a little extra dimension.  A couple of pearl flourishes, some Webster's Pages lace trim and a bow made from May Arts silk ribbon finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team.  You'll love what they have shared!
