Mini Fairy

Hi there!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a great weekend!  We've been on the go the whole weekend leaving me little time for crafting or blogging, but I did manage to make one little project.  When I say little, I mean it!  The challenge over at the Tiddly Inks blog is to make an ATC or other tiny creation.    I rarely make anything other than full-size cards, but I wanted to give it a try, so I made a fun little ATC for the challenge.

Here is my tiny project:

My sweet image is Fairy Sunny Day from Tiddly Inks.  I printed it on MiC Blending card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Stickles here and there for added sparkle.  A few buttons and a gingham bow finished my simple ATC.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening and I promise to be better about visiting in the upcoming week!

"Fore" Your Birthday

Hi again!  I'm back with a second quick post today.  I'm not really supposed to be up, but I wasn't resting well and I was antsy to post a card I made for a couple of challenges. Obviously, I'm not a very good patient - lol!  Anyway, I'll make it quick. There are a lot of Father's Day/masculine challenges out there and I went with the masculine theme for all of them.  Since I lost my Dad 6 years ago and my father-in-law last month, I don't really do Father's Day cards.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  The golf bag image was a freebie from Tiddly Inks with the purchase of the Father's Day-Vintage Truck digi.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some grass under it with my Copics, too.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   A bit of stitched ribbon on the tag finished my masculine card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be back tomorrow with a special post, so hope to see you then.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge #135 (Lou's sketch)
Hobby Cutz Challenge #51 (Father's Day or masculine)
Craft Your Passion Challenge #217 (Father's Day or for the men/boys)
Tuesday Throwdown #199 (for a special Man)
Seize the Birthday (summertime plus birthday)
Digi Galore (nautical or blue)
Papertake Weekly (for the boys)
Cute Card Thursday #325 (so macho)

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Breeze and the patterned papers are from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Emma from the Celebrate Joyfully digistamp set from Tiddly Inks.  She is also available in a clear stamp set.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the flower centers.  I also added some grass with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A yellow rose and a few pink pearls from my stash finished my card.

Sketch Saturday #310

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's looking to be a nice one here, albeit a bit cooler than it normally is this time of year.  I am here this morning with my DT card for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts, who are offering the winner a £10 gift voucher for the Bunny Zoe's Crafts shop.

Here is the fantastic sketch from Alex:

Here is my take on the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Fine & Sunny 6.5x6.5 pad.  The fun image is Hanging Around by Tiddly Inks.  I used the digi version, but the same set is also available as clear stamps (called Hang in There).  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I colored in a cloudy sky with my Copics, too.  The sentiment is from the digi set.  I cut out a couple of clouds from white felt.  A few chipboard flowers finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Flower Power

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday!  How is your week going so far?  We got off to a crazy start with severe weather!  There were several tornadoes in the region last night, with quite a bit of damage.  Luckily for us, we just had the strong winds and lots of rain and lightning.  It was still pretty scary until we finally got the all clear around 12:30 AM.  They say we may get some more strong storms tonight, but I hope it won't be as bad as last night.  Especially because our friends arrive today!  Anyway, before they get here, I'm popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing.

Here is my card:

I know!  Can you believe I've done another CAS card?  I don't know what's got into me these days!  Not much to tell you here.  The strip of patterned paper is from the GCD Studios Happiness 6x6 pad and it's machine-stitched around the borders.  The adorable image is Cute-ilicious from Tiddly Inks. I had the pleasure of watching Christy actually draw this at the Texas Coloring Retreat last month, so of course, I had to have it!  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the ladybugs and some Stickles to the butterflies. The sentiment was a Friday Freebie from Sharon at A Piece of Heart.  You can find it here.  A few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20

Celebrate Spring

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  We have had so much rain over the last few days, I wasn't sure if I'd need a boat to get out!  All kidding aside, we are fine, but there's been some dangerous flooding in the area and schools are even delayed today because of it.  Luckily the tornado watch has been lifted and the weather is supposed to start improving soon.  I guess this is Spring in AL!  Anyway, I am here this morning with a quick post to share a card I did for a couple of challenges I like doing.

Here it is:

My card base and mats are SU Certainly Celery and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Hanging Around from Tiddly Inks. I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added the clouds and sky with my Copics, too.  This cute image is also available in a Tiddly Inks clear stamp set called Hang in There.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A chevron ribbon bow and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Picture Perfect Day

Hi again!  I'm back with another super quick post today.  I wanted to share a card I made for a couple of challenges and one is ending today, so here I am.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes 6x6 pad.  I didn't think I'd ever use this particular sheet in the pad as it's not really my cup of tea, but one of the challenges wants us to show our ugly papers so it worked for me.  The adorable image is Picture Perfect from Tiddly Inks.  I had the great pleasure of meeting Christy, the talented artist who creates these sweet stamps, at the coloring retreat this past weekend.  Of course, it would have been just wrong of me not to purchase a bunch of her cute digis!  I printed Wryn on Hammermill Color Cover Stock and colored her with my Copics.  I framed her with a Polaroid Frame that I cut with my Cameo using a file from the Silhouette store.  I popped that up over a film strip frame that I also cut with my Cameo.  The top sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The Happy Birthday was stamped.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge #129 (happy birthday)
Tuesday Morning Sketches #242 (sketch)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #96 (show ugly paper)
Charisma Cardz Challenge #6 (birthday girls)

Here is TMS-242:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'm almost caught up so I will be around shortly to visit.

Have a great day and see you soon!
