Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  We have a fun event coming up on Saturday if it doesn't get rained out.  We finally got some much needed rain last night, but because of the heat, everything dried back up again right away. Maybe we will get a little more in the next few days.  Anyway, before getting on with the day, I am here with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "picnic or barbecue".  You may now use any coloring medium you'd like, but you must still have a colored image on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Blue Denim and the patterned paper is from the Webster's Pages Citrus Squeeze collection.  The fun barbecue image is Big Guy Grilling from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Washi Tape strips in the upper right corner and a bit of Baker's Twine to finish my card. I've got a birthday sentiment inside for special family member.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from my teammies, Dawn, Penny and Kathi!  We hope you will play along!  We've got a great sponsor for August.  Bombshell Stamps is offering the winner a digi set of their choice.  You'll love their fun retro and vintage images!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Seems A Little Sketchy #70 (sketch)
MarkerPop Challenge #49 (anything goes)
Digi Galore Challenge (anything goes)
Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #16 (summer food)
Through The Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)

The Digi Bells Blog Hop

Hi again!  I promise this is my last post today!  I rarely have so many things come at once, but today was one of those days!  I am here now with my DT card for this month's Digi Bells Blog Hop!  The new digi is such a cutie!  You may remember her from her days as a Belles 'n Whistles stamp, but now she is being brought back as the newest digi in the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.

You should have arrived at my blog from Carol's blog.  If not, you'll want to go back and start there, so you don't miss anything!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Up & Away Spread Your Wings and Fly 6x6 pad.  I printed the adorable image on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of glitter here and there for some sparkle.  A pretty doily and a few MME buttons finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Your next stop on the hop is Lynda's blog.  Be sure to leave comments at every stop along the way to have the best chance of winning this adorable digi!  The hop goes until Friday, July 4th at 9:00 AM Arizona time.  The winners will be announced on the Digi Bells blog on Saturday, July 5th.

"Fore" Your Birthday

Hi again!  I'm back with a second quick post today.  I'm not really supposed to be up, but I wasn't resting well and I was antsy to post a card I made for a couple of challenges. Obviously, I'm not a very good patient - lol!  Anyway, I'll make it quick. There are a lot of Father's Day/masculine challenges out there and I went with the masculine theme for all of them.  Since I lost my Dad 6 years ago and my father-in-law last month, I don't really do Father's Day cards.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  The golf bag image was a freebie from Tiddly Inks with the purchase of the Father's Day-Vintage Truck digi.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some grass under it with my Copics, too.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   A bit of stitched ribbon on the tag finished my masculine card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be back tomorrow with a special post, so hope to see you then.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge #135 (Lou's sketch)
Hobby Cutz Challenge #51 (Father's Day or masculine)
Craft Your Passion Challenge #217 (Father's Day or for the men/boys)
Tuesday Throwdown #199 (for a special Man)
Seize the Birthday (summertime plus birthday)
Digi Galore (nautical or blue)
Papertake Weekly (for the boys)
Cute Card Thursday #325 (so macho)

Happy Birthday

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope your week is going well so far!  I've been super busy, but I'm getting things accomplished and that feels good.  Right now, I'm taking a little break and popping in to share a card I made for a friend's birthday, but it also fits a few challenges I enjoy doing.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are Kraft and the patterned papers are from the Prima Divine 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is Bashful Belinda from art by miran.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.    I added some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to her hair ornament and Fruit Punch Stickles to her belt and shoes.  The sentiment ticket was a freebie offered by Sara on her blog here.  It was quite awhile back so I don't know if it is still available.  Some lace ribbon, a ribbon flower and a few pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by! Looking forward to visiting a little later!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
artbymiran Challenge #5 (anything goes)
artbymiran May Facebook Challenge (anything goes with a ribbon or bow)
Creative Fingers Challenge #35 (anything goes)
Digi Galore Challenge (Kraft)
Incy Wincy Challenge (birthdays)

Happy Birthday

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  We had a day of wild weather yesterday and we're supposed to get some more tonight.  Luckily no tornado warnings, at least as of now, just heavy rain, high winds and thunderstorms.  I'm popping in now to post my project in case we lose power later. I finished up a little project I was working on just for fun, although it fits a couple of challenges, too.  I love doing these pop-up boxes.  They look hard, but are actually very easy!

Here is what I made:

The pop-up base and inserts are GKD Turquoise Sea and the fun patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee House of Three Collection.  I used three cute images for the box.  They are Little Wishes, Party Present and Party Play by Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I stamped them on MiC Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I fussy-cut them and added them to the box.  The sentiment is Create With TLC.  A few party present stickers from Jolee's finished my card.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

Thanks for stopping by!  We've got our BFFs coming from out of state to visit tomorrow, so as soon as I get everything in order for that, I will be around to visit.

I am entering my project in the following challenges:
Sweet Pea Stampers (birthday challenge)
Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans Facebook Art Contest (anything SPS)
Digi Galore (anything but a card)

Have a great evening and see you soon!

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi there!  It's me again!  I'm back with a late night post for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  Usually I post on Friday morning, but I've got a bunch of stuff going on tomorrow, so I'm posting tonight.  The theme this week is another "photo inspiration".  You can be inspired by any aspect of the photo - colors, scene, flowers, whatever, but you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is the inspiration photo, by our own teammie, Dawn!  It's of Sausalito.  Isn't it gorgeous?

Here is my creation inspired by Dawn's pic:

My inspiration was the colors purples and cool blues as well as neutrals.  My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the GCD Happiness 6x6 pad.  The whimsical image is Floating Floral Fairy from Make it Crafty.  I did something very different with the coloring.  I printed the image on some neutral patterned paper and then colored it with my Copics.  I did a little highlighting with my Prismacolor Pencils.  A bow, a few flowers from my stash and a mythical metal charm finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copic Colors:
Purples: V000, V01, V05, V06, V09
Turquoise: BG000, BG10, BG53, BG57, BG49
Aqua Blue: B000, B01
Hair: E42, E44, E47

Prismacolor Pencils:
Black Grape, Mulberry, Aquamarine, Light Aqua

Thanks for stopping by again!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from my teammies, Dawn, Linda, Penny and Kathi.  We hope you will play along!  You know we have a fabulous sponsor this month!  Make it Crafty is offering one randomly-selected participant a $10 GC.  As a bonus, we will have a second draw for all participants who used a Make it Crafty image and the winner will receive a second GC!  If that's not incentive to play along with your favorite MiC image, I don't know what is!

I am entering my card in the following challenge:
Digi Galore (flowers)

I'll be back late morning tomorrow for the Digi Bells Monthly Blog Hop!  Hope to see you then!

Little Miss Muffet Inspiration Post

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope your having a great week so far!  I am out of town for a day so I've pre-scheduled this post and hope you are seeing it on time.    It's time for my weekly Little Miss Muffet DT post.  This week, we have another inspiration post for you.  This gives the Little Misses a chance to share projects with some of our favorite Little Miss Muffet stamps.

I went with something different than a card this week.  I created a little altered can using a few of my favorite Jr. Hatter images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I'm going to have to show you a few photos so you can see them all.  I got the idea from the cute altered cans that Barbara (Forgotten Scraps) made as gifts for everyone attending the Coloring Retreat a couple of weeks ago.

Here we go:

All of the digi images were colored with my Copics on MiC Blending Card.

So that's my project for today! Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the Little Misses and our Guest Designer for April, Samantha!  Oh, and you still have time to enter our "anything goes" challenge.  You can enter up until 11:55 PM CDT on Tuesday, April 8th.  We hope you'll play along!

I am entering my project in the following challenges:
Digi Galore Challenge (alter a can)
Papertake Weekly (anything goes)
Through the Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)

Have a great day and I'll be around to visit once I get home.

Little Miss Muffet Inspiration Post

Good morning!  Happy Thursday! Hope your week is going well!  I am getting ready to go out of town on Friday and I'll admit I'm scrambling a little to get everything done and blogged before I go.  I know I won't have much time for the computer while I am away. More about that later! Anyway, I am here, as always on Thursdays, with my Little Miss Muffet DT post.  This week, we have an inspiration post for you.  The Little Misses have all created projects with some of our favorite LMM images, so be sure to go over and have a look on the blog!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey RSVP 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Sonny Honeycloud My Way by Pollycraft for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I printed her on Hammermill Digital Cover Stock and colored her with my Copics.  I added a few dots with my white paint pen.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A chevron ribbon bow and a button finished my card.
Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Orchid Fairy

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  If you are looking for my Little Miss Muffet DT post, please scroll down one post.  I have a card to share that I made for a few challenges.  One of them was ending soon, so I wanted to get it in.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Sage Shadow and the glittery and shimmery patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden 6.5x6.5 pad.  The stunning image is Orchid Fairy with Butterfly Wings from AuroraWings.  Mitzi has so many gorgeous digital stamps in her AuroraWings Etsy shop!  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Star Dust, Icicle, Diamond and Crystal Stickles to the bubbles, wings and her dress to make them sparkle.  I tried to add shimmer to the orchids with Viva Décor Rose Inka-Gold, but you can hardly see it in the photo and it dulled the coloring a little, I think.  Finally, I spritzed the whole image with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist (also hard to see).   I didn't add any embellishments as this had enough going on already.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be around shortly to visit.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas (make it sparkle)
Crafting From The Heart #7 (anything goes; flowers)
Digi Galore (Wings)
Kit and Clowder February Challenge (any colored image)
Stamps by AuroraWings February FB Challenge (favorite flowers)

LMMS and MiC Graffiti Party

Hey there!  Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a great week so far!  We are getting closer and closer to the weekend!  I get to spend time with family this weekend, so I'm really looking forward to it.  Before we get to that, the day has finally arrived for the co-release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Make it Crafty!  We are having a Graffiti Party!   You're going to want to grab your baggy jeans and hoodies and head over to our Party blog and check out all the fun there!  There are challenges and prizes and lots of inspiration with the new Urban Collections from MiC and the Graffiti Collections from LMM!

Without further ado, here is my card using some of the new images:

My card base and mats are SU Blue Bayou and the urban patterned paper is from an old Basic Grey collection called Aged & Confused Sublime.  I merged lots of images from MiC and LMMS to make my scene:  Corner Bricks, Large Brick Crack, Small Brick Crack and Street Curb from the MiC Urban Street Collection, Graffiti Party from LMM, and Urban Keisha from the new Urban Gang set from MiC. I printed the merged image on MiC Blending Card and colored the whole thing with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A couple of pounded brass pieces finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored scene:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Graffiti Party blog, the Little Miss Muffet blog and the Make it Crafty Store blog and check out all the happenings and the fab inspiration from both DTs!

Have fun!
