Mo's DP2 Challenge #125 - Try Something New

Good morning!  Happy Thursday to you!  Thursday's are always happy around here, because Thursday means it's time for another Mo's Challenge!  Iulia is our hostess this week and the theme is "try something new".  We want to see you branch out and try something you haven't done before or maybe use a brand new tool or product you've been hoping to experiment with.  Now's your chance to go for it!

Here is my card:

I've been wanting to try a side step card.  I've never made one before, but I have admired many I've seen others make.  I used Beate's terrific tutorial here on Splitcoast Stampers.  I started with a base of SU Old Olive and layered all the steps with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Sweet Threads collection.  My adorable Mo's images is Bunches.  She can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Happy Spring set.  I added lots of Wild Orchid Crafts roses to the all the open steps on the right.  A satin bow and another WOC rose finished off my card.

Here is a side view of the side step design:

My card is also for a couple of other challenges: the Basic Grey Challenge #64 (photo inspiration) and the Wild Orchid Challenge #44 (get in shape - use three different shapes - I used rectangles, a circle and an oval)).  Here is the BG inspiration photo:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Mo's Challenge blog and check out the always amazing creations from my incredibly talented teammates!  Why not join us this week?  You have the chance to win a GC to Mo's store and you can't win if you don't enter!  Isn't there something new you've been wanting to try?

Hope to see you soon!
