Fa La La La

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope your week is starting off well!  I'm getting set for another busy week.  Time seems to be zipping by and I really can't believe that Christmas is only two weeks away!  So much to do!  Anyway, today it's my turn to post my GDT card on The Digi Bells Blog.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Lipstick Red and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Festive 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Li'l Lynda's Piano Forte from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.  She was created by Elisabeth especially for The Digi Bells DT leader, Lynda Nielsen, in honor of her birthday last year!  I decided to use her to make another holiday card.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics in festive Christmas colors.  I added Stickles to her cushion, petticoat and the little doll on the piano.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was a freebie from last December, I think.  Liquid Pearls accents around the scallop circle frame finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit The Digi Bells blog every day for lots of inspiration using the wonderful stamps in the Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection!

My card is also for the December Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog.  Sadly, it the very last one.  SFYTT was one of the very first challenges I ever entered and I've been following ever since.  To be eligible for this year's amazing prize, we have to have done the challenge every month and list our blog posts for those challenges.

Here is the final (December) SFYTT:

Little Miss Muffet - New Release

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  It's still early for me (yes, I'm still sleeping), but it's time for me to share this week's DT card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  There is a new release this week and it's all digis this time.  All the new stamps are just adorable!  They are perfect for your Thanksgiving projects and so much more!  Check out the What's New section of the LMM store to see all the new images!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Blue Bayou and the pretty fall papers are from the Basic Grey Pyrus 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Operation Treehouse Thanksgiving from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  It is a merged version of Agent Bubblegum at Thanksgiving and Bandit Boy Gavin at Thanksgiving.  I printed the image on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some shiny accents to the belt and shoe buckles with my Letraset Metallic Marker pens.  I got the Thanksgiving sentiment as a freebie from Iulia's blog here.   A double-loop grosgrain bow and a button from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Elisabeth Bell's World October/November Challenge

Hi again!  I'm back just quickly to share some exciting news and a card!  I won the last challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World and I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the new challenge starting today!  I love Elisabeth's images and I was thrilled to have won two digital stamps from the Elisabeth Bell Designs Digital Collection as well as two Belles 'n Whistles stamps from Crafts and Me!    The theme for the October/November Challenge is "glitter, shimmer and shine".  I am so honored to have my card posted along with the amazingly-talented DT!

Here is my card:

My 5x7 card base and mats are GKD Lipstick Red.  The shimmery and shiny patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 6.5x6.5 pad.  It was so hard to capture the shiny paper in my photo!  My precious Elisabeth Bell image is Belles 'n Whistles Star of Bethlehem.  You can find it in the Crafts and Me store here.  I stamped it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Red, Diamond and Gold Stickles to make my image sparkle.  Two stars punched from red glitter paper and a shiny gold corner sticker finished my festive holiday card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  Be sure to visit the new Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge and feast your eyes on the stunning creations from the DT!  I'm sure they would love it you were inspired to play along this month!

Here is the September SFYTT:

Here is my card for all the challenges:

I used SU Blue Bayou for my card base and mats and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Adeline With Penguins from MayzyArt.  You can find it in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Neenah Solar White and colored her with my Copics.  For the "fluffy" and "sparkle", I added glitter to all the fur trim on her outfit and and a bunch of fluffy glitter snowflakes.  The only embellishment was a few more sparkly snowflakes with gems in their centers.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Yay, it's finally Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and you're ready for the weekend!  I know I am!  Before getting on with the day, I'm here to post my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week's fun theme is "circus/carnival".  Anything to do with either or both as long as there is some coloring with alcohol markers.

Here is my card:

I've got lots of layers on this one!  My cardstock is Papertrey Aqua Mist and Terracotta Tile and the patterned paper is from the My Mind's eye Lost & Found Two Mabel 6x6 pad.  It is more of the yummy papers I received in the awesome blog candy I won from Alice Wertz!  My adorable clown is Jojo.  You can find him in Mo Manning's store here.  I printed him on Copic X-Press It and colored him with my Copics.  I added a few polka dots with my Sharpie White Paint pen, Stickles to the star on his forehead and some Glossy Accents to his nose.  A dotted ribbon bow and a few buttons from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Jojo:

I used the August Sketch For You To Try from Jen Del Muro's blog:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT and our talented Guest Designer for August, Tabbatha.  We hope you'll come play along!  This month's CPC challenges are being sponsored by Guylou's Inimitability.

Jackson's Digital Expressions - Featured Designer

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm off to a bit of a late start this morning.  We had some really severe thunderstorms last night and I had all the computers off, just in case.  Luckily, we got some much needed rain, but no damage, at least where I am.  Today is starting off cooler but really muggy!

Anyway, I'm here to share the card I made for Jackson's Digital Expressions.  I am excited to have been invited to be a featured designer this week as part of their big July Release Party!  I will be sharing cards this week that I've made with the new images that were released in July.  Today's Anything Goes Challenge #12 has an optional color inspiration.

Here are the colors:

Here is my card:

I got in the right color families, but I have a bit more pink than the red in the photo inspiration.  I started with a card base of SU Not Quite Navy and layered patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Miss Nelly 6.5x6.5 pad.  My elegant image is Vintage Hat V from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson. You can find it in the Vintage section of Robert's store here. I printed it on Copic X-Press It Blending card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of White Opal Liquid Pearls to her jewelry and around the scalloped frame.  Otherwise I kept my embellishments to a minimum.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Retail Therapy which you can find in Paulette's store here.

I used Jen Del Muro's July Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) for my layout:

My card is also for Copic Challenge #47 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom which is to color with navy and/or dark blues.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Jackson's Digital Expressions blog and check out all the fantastic DT creations and all the events that are part of the July Release!  There are lots of challences to win fabulous prizes!

Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

Born To Be Wild

Hi there!  Hope you've had a good day!  It was a very busy one for me so I'm just getting to pop in and post the card I made for a few challenges.  It is for the May Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog, Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #94 (paper piecing), Through The Craft Room Door Challenge (photo inspiration), Our Creative Corner Challenge (also photo inspiration; use orange, blue and white or cream and brown) and Love to Create Challenge #16 (sentiment inspired by a song).

Here is the May SFYTT:

Here is the TTCRD inspiration photo:

and the OCCC inspiration photo:

Finally, here is my card:

I layered the sketch panels with patterned papers in the inspiration colors from the Authentique Gathering 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Bling Baby from Kenny K.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored all but her outfit with my Copics.  I printed a second image on patterned paper from the same pad and paper-pieced her clothes.  The sentiment, inspired by the song Born To Be Wild, is from Create With TLC.  I finished my card by adding a bit of shimmer to her turquoise jewelry with a Spica pen.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

Flourishes Motherly Love Challenge

Hi again!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz, click here or scroll down one post.  I'm back to share the card I made for the Motherly Love Challenge on Flourishes blog.  The challenge was simply to make a card for a Mom.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Green Apple and layered with patterned papers from the Echo Park Victoria Garden 6x6 pad. I stamped the beautiful roses from Flourishes A Year in Flowers 2 set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I cut out the image with a Spellbinders Classic Circle die and framed it with a Spellbinders Lacey Circle diecut.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations Sentiments For Mom set.   I didn't add any extra embellishments, just let the pretty roses be the focal point.

Oh, and I used the April Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) from Jen Del Muro's blog for my layout.  I'm also entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (spring flowers).

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  I'm off to a bit of a late start this morning.  It's rainy and dreary here - a good day to get a little crafting done.  I hope it works out that way!  Before I get going, I'm popping in to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is St. Patty's Day/Irish/Green.  Wherever you'd like to go with that - it's up to you!

Here is my card for the challenge:

I went with a St. Patrick's Day theme for mine.  I started with a card base of SU Night of Navy and layered with Lucky Limeade and patterned papers from the Little Yellow Bicycle Lucky Me collection.  My cute image is Little Irish Dancer from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It is from the Feel The Green set and it can be found in Paulette's store here.    I used Jen Del Muro's March Sketch For You To Try for my layout.  My card is also for Craft Your Passion #100 (anything goes).

Here is the March SFYTT:

Thanks for stopping by!  Head on over to the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous "green" creations from my DT sistahs and our wonderful Guest Designer for March, Penny.  We hope you'll play along with us!  There are some awesome prizes up for grabs when you join in on the challenges at The Outlawz!

Love Is In The Air

Hi there!  It's been a little while since I've posted!  I was away over the weekend and then have been super busy so far this week, but I finally had time to pop in and share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  First, it's for the February Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog.  It's also for the Basic Grey Challenge #62 (Love & Valentines) and this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Love Is In The Air).

Here is the February SFYTT:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is With Love Boy from Mo Manning.  You can find him in Mo's store here.  I printed him on Cryogen White and colored him with Copics.  I added Crystal Stickles to the heart and pieces of paper at his feet.  My sentiment ticket is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It was part of the February Club.  I added a few hearts punched from glitter paper and that finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you again soon!

Card For a Few Challenges

Hello!  Have you had a good weekend?  It was relatively quiet here and I even managed to get in a little crafting time.  I made a card for a few challenges I like to do.  I combined them this time because I wasn't sure I'd get to them all otherwise and I hated to miss out.  My card is for the January Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog, Elisabeth Bell's World December/January Challenge (Tic Tac Toe), 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #38 (try something new), Basic Grey Challenge #60 (something new) and the Corrosive Challenge #140 (use something brand new).  There were a lot of similar themes so it was easy to put them together.

Here is the January SFYTT:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a 5 x 7 card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with Almost Amethyst and patterned paper from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  My main "something new" (and still unused) item was my new Elisabeth Bell Belles 'n Whistles stamp, Patches 'n Braids.  It can be found in the 7 Kids store here.  I stamped her on Cryogen White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic markers.  I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some sparkle. The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Petite Ovals Nestabilities. For the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge, I chose Column A of the tic tac toe - flowers, lace and pearls.  I added some new flowers with pearls that I picked up in the $1 bin at Michael's yesterday.  A bit of crocheted lace and some adhesive pearls finished my card.  Phew!  I think I covered everything!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy what's left of your weekend and I will see you tomorrow!

Another Christmas Card

Hi there!  Hope your week has been going well!  Despite still being down for the count with this cold, I managed to eek out one more Christmas card for my stash.  A few more and I should be done!  Then it will just be getting them in the mail!   I used a few challenges I like to inspire me since my mojo is on holiday already - lol!  My card is for the December Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) on Jen Del Muro's blog (more about that later).  It is also for this week's challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog (anything goes - show your Christmas cards), Digital Tuesday Challenge #140 (use lights or candles) and the new Aud Sentiments Challenge #43 (any winter holiday sentiment - 2 entries if you use the one generously provided by Paulette at Create With TLC).  Phew!

Here is the December SFYTT:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Cranberry Tart and layered with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas 6x6 pad.  I cut a doily from Cryogen White (gasp) using the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die.  I cut a flourish from SU Brushed Gold with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die.  I got both of these from Joan's Gardens' store.  I merged two wonderful Mo Manning images - Ragged Angel and and the lamp post from the Ragged Carollers set.  Both images can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I added some Polar White Flower Soft for the snow.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It is available as part of the Shiny & Bright set in her store here or right now it is being offered as a freebie to use in the Aud Sentiments challenge.  I finished off my card with a big double-loop bow of May Arts silk ribbon.

So I said that I would have more to say about the SFYTT.  Sorry to be so long-winded.  You can quit now if you are not interested in this part.  Jen changed the format this year to one sketch a month with a big prize drawing for a lucky person who participated in all 12 challenges.  We are supposed to link our previous 11 cards here.  I'm going to to do it even though I know I unfortunately won't be eligible for the prize.  I did do all the challenges but somehow, when my computer crashed this summer, it appears that I never went back and re-blogged my August challenge card.  Oh well.  It was still fun to do them all and I will definitely try to get it right next year.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site and more.

Card For a Couple of Challenges

Hello!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  It was pretty busy around here, but I still managed a little crafting time.  I am popping in to share the card I made for two challenges - the TSG#129 Challenge, which was to create a holiday project and the November Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) on Jen Del Muro's blog.

Here is Jen's November sketch:

Here is my holiday project using the sketch:

I started with a card base of GKD Cranberry Tart and layered with patterned papers from the K & Co. Glad Tidings pad.  I stamped the images from the There She Goes Welcome Home set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored them with Copics.  I cut out the wreath and added it to the door.  I added Glossy Accents to the windows for some shine.  The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders Classic Circles die and mounted on a Spellbinders Parisian Accents diecut.  A bit of ribbon and a couple of gold pearls finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon!

Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations

Good morning!  It's Wednesday and of course, you know that means it's time for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share new creations with you.  You certainly won't want to miss the beautiful and inspirational projects my teammates have shared on the Heartfelt Creations blog today!  All I can say is WOW!  There is also a sneak peek of the October release.  The new collection is absolutely gorgeous!

Here is one on my projects that was shared today:

All of the instructions for making this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  Briefly I started with an A6 card base of SU Basic Black and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Jovial collection.  I stamped the large ornament from HCPC 3417 Poinsettia Ornament 2 with Versamark and Bermuda Bay onto Cryogen White Iridescent and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I cut out the ornament with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament 2011 die and spritzed it with Caribbean Blue Glimmer Mist.  I stamped the same ornament three more times onto Cryogen White and colored two of the poinsettias with red Copic markers and one with green Copics to use as leaves.   I cut out the poinsettias and leaves with scissors.  The flowers were spritzed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist and the leaves with Honeydew Glimmer Mist.  They were shaped the layered with Pop Dots and foam tape onto the ornament as shown.  A double-loop bow of red satin and a few adhesive gems finished my card.

My card is also for the October Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) on Jen Del Muro's blog.

Here is the sketch for October:

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day!
