You Are Missed

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  Only one day away from the weekend now - we're on the home stretch!  I'm here early today to share the card I made for this week's Mo's DP2 Challenge #145.  The fun theme this time is "in the dog house".  My card is also for Sketch Saturday #217, Just Us Girls Challenge #146 (color challenge) and Simon Says Stamp (anything goes).

Here is SS-217:

and here is the JUGS Color Inspiration:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Island Indigo cardstock and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg 6x6 pad.  The colors were a perfect match to the JUGS colors!  My adorable Mo's image is Honey's Greeting.  You can find it in Mo's old store here.  I printed Honey on Cryogen White and colored with my Copics.  I didn't blend smoothly on the cute pup so it would look more like fur.  I'm not sure how successful that attempt was, but that is where I was going.   I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the towel and the collar.  My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A couple of Crushed Curry ribbon tags, a triple-loop bow of dyed seam binding and a Webster's Pages Whimsy Heart finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

Happy

Hi there!  I know it's late for me on a Sunday, but it was a busy day and this is the first chance I had to pop in to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  First, it's for the current challenge on Guylou's Inimitability blog (girly girly - use lace and pearls).  It is also for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #141, JUGS #124 (color challenge - teal, green, pink and yellow), Aud Sentiments Challenge (use the word Happy) and finally, Crafty Emma's Store Challenge (Spots and Dots).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is the JUGS Color Inspiration:

And here is my card:

I started with a card base of Papertrey Aqua Mist and layered with patterned papers from the Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer collection.  It's a little hard to see, but the background has a spotted pattern. I added squares punched from yellow dotted paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Sunshine 6x6 pad.  My image is Leah from Guylou's Inimitability.  She can found in Guylou's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen white and colored her with Copics.  I wove some pink gingham ribbon through some lace trim and added a triple loop bow and a yellow pearl.  My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It was shared as a freebie for the challenge on the Aud Sentiments blog.  I finished off my card with some Pink Liquid Pearl accents around the Spellbinders Scalloped Petite Oval frame.

Thanks for stopping by! I always appreciate when you visit!  See you soon!

Another Valentine's Day Card

Hi again!  I didn't think I'd be back before tomorrow, but I was able to finish up another card for a couple of challenges, so I thought I'd pop in and load it up! This one is for the Just Us Girls Challenge #122 (sketch challenge) and the Our Creative Corner Challenge (love is in the air and a recipe: use pink, gray and Kraft, have sparkle and include a heart shape). It is also for the Tuesday Throwdown #84 (be my valentine).

Here is the JUGS sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I kept my card pretty simple to let the pretty papers and cute image be the focal point.  I started with a card base of GKD Kraft and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Uncommon 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is With Love from Mo Manning.  You can find her in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her in the soft colors of the OCC challenge (pink, gray and Kraft).  I added sparkle by glittering up the heart and the pieces of paper around her feet.  The lacy border for the center panel was cut with the Cheery Lynn Francesca border.  That is it - I think I covered all the bases!

Thanks for dropping by again!  I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for this week's fun Mo's DP2 Challenge.

A Couple of Valentine's Day Cards

Hi there!  Have you had a good weekend?  We had some pretty yucky weather - severe storms, drizzle, fog - not so nice.  At least there were no power failures or damage here.  I know others weren't so lucky.  Anyway, I'm popping in to share a couple of Valentine's Day cards I made.  One was for the Just Us Girls Challenge #120 - a color challenge with pink, red and white.  The other was for the Corrosive Challenge #141 (I {Heart} You - use at least one heart on your card).

Here is the color inspiration for the JUGS Challenge:

Here is my card:

I used a fun digi background paper that was a freebie from Create With TLC.  The subway art and sentiment are also from Create With TLC.  They were some of the goodies from the February Club.  I colored the letters on the sentiment with Copics.  A big pink satin bow and a few heart rhinestones finished my card.

Here is my card for the Corrosive Challenge:

This one was created with a bunch of the Valentine goodies from the February Club from Create With TLC.  I printed all the images on Cryogen White.  Some of the images already had a touch of red on them.  For the ones that didn't, I added it with my Copics.  Everything was distressed then sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink to give an aged look.  I used a vintage red patterned paper but I'm not sure what it is as it was in my scrap bag.  A sheer ribbon bow and faceted pearl heart finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate your visits!  Hope to see you soon!

Another Challenge Card

Good morning!  Can it be Monday again already?  Where did the weekend go?  I hope you had a good one.  I'm here early this morning to share a card I made for a few more challenges I like to do.  This one is for the Just Us Girls Challenge #118 (a sketch challenge), the current B 'n W Challenge (use warm earth colors) and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (use something new).

Here is the JUGS sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Bravo Burgundy and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall 6x6 pad.  My "something new" is my new Belles 'n Whistles stamp, A Pen Friend.  It can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store here.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I framed the image with a diecut made with my Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die.   A triple-loop bow of dyed seam binding and a Prima rose finished my card.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day and I'll see you soon!

Can It Be? Another Christmas Card!

Hi there!  I know, I  know - lol!  I was sure I was done, then I remembered another card I needed to take with a gift to an appointment this weekend, so I ran into my craft room and made yet another.  I called upon a couple of challenges I didn't get to yet for my design.  First, it is for the Monthly Contest over at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog (winter or holiday).  It is also for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge #115 (a color challenge) and this week's challenge in The Play Date Cafe #112.   It was perfect because the JUGS challenge and the PDCC challenge were to use nearly the same colors.

Here is the JUGS Inspiration:

And here is the PDCC Color Story:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned paper from the K & Co. Glad Tidings Die Cut Mat pad.  The colors were perfect!  My image is a digi from The Stamping Boutique called Sledding Snowman.  I won this image during a blog hop a couple of months ago.  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copics.  I added Glossy Accents to the Christmas lights around the border and some Stickles here and there for some sparkle.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. It was a freebie awhile back - not sure if it's in the store now.   I also colored it with Copics and added some Ice Glitter to the snowman's cap and some Stickles to the snowflakes.  I didn't add any extra embellishments - I thought there was enough going on with the cute images and the DP.

Many thanks for stopping by and checking out yet another Christmas card.  I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for Friday's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz and that will be about it for me until after Christmas.

Joy

Good morning!  Hope your day is off to a great start!  I feel a bit better today, so I am hoping to get a lot accomplished.  My tree is up and decorated and now all I have to do is get my cards and gifts in the mail and I can relax a bit.  Before I get back to it, I am popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges (and for some good friends for Christmas). First, it is for the current Copic Coloring Challenge on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site, which is make a card or project that is colored only in golds, cream and whites.  You'll definitely want to check out this challenge as there are many ways to win and amazing prizes up for grabs because it is also a charity fundraiser.  The charity is Reading is Fundamental and you can read all about the charity and the challenge here.  My card is also for the Just Us Girls Challenge #114 (to make a center step card) and Bunny Zoe's Crafts Monthly Challenge #19 (to make fancy folds/shaped cards).

Here is the inspiration picture for the CMC Copic Challenge:

Here is my card for the challenges:

For my fancy fold, I chose to do a center step card since this was the technique required for the JUGS challenge.  I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here.  The base is GKD Heavy Weight Ivory.  It is layered with GKD Good As Gold and metallic gold dotted paper from the Kaisercraft December 25th 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  My image is a digi called Christmas Bells from Just Inklined.  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it in shades of gold with Copics.  I added a tiny bit of gold Stickles to the holly berries.  I used the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die to make my gold frame.  The sentiment is from the Layers of Color Christmas Verses set.  It is embossed on Cryogen White with gold embossing powder and cut out with a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die.  A gold trimmed sheer bow and a few gold adhesive pearls finished my fancy fold card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Vintage Santa(s)

Hi there! It's getting late for me, but I still wanted to drop in and share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  I am still fighting this crummy cold and I definitely don't feel up to snuff, but I am still valiantly trying to get all my Christmas cards done before Friday.  The challenges are helping motivate me to reach my goal.  Anyway, my card is for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge #113 (sketch challenge), Color Throwdown #171 and the Simon Says Stamp challenge (photo inspiration).

Here is the JUGS sketch:

Here is the Color Throwdown #171 swatch:

Finally, here is my card for the three challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Cranberry Tart and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6x6 pad.   I stamped the vintage Santa image from Crafty Secrets Vintage Christmas set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. I did a little sponging with Antique Linen Distress Ink when I finished coloring.  The image and mat were cut with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities.  I added some Gold Liquid Pearls to the scalloped mat.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Verses set from Layers of Color.  I was so lucky to have won this set in a recent challenge I entered. It was stamped with SU Soft Suede.  An olive gingham ribbon bow finished my card.

Just for fun, while I was at it, I made another card with a similar style.  I used the same sketch, colors and stamps, but changed out the card base to SU Bravo Burgundy and the patterned paper to My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas.  I used used Olive Grosgrain and White Opal Liquid Pearls on this one.

OK, that's it for me tonight.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I really appreciate your visits and your kind comments!  Hope to see you again soon!

Card Patterns Sketch #137

Hello, there!  Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's another nice fall day here in AL!  I can't wait to get outside to enjoy it!  Before I do, I am sharing my DT card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch.  This week, we are being sponsored again by Sparkle Creations.

And here is my take on the sketch:

Sparkle generously provided the DT with some images to use for our cards.  Just in time for Halloween, I chose this fun image called Broomstick Lucy.  I colored her with Copic markers and added Stickles here and there for some extra shimmer. She was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle Nestabilities.  I used fun papers from the K & Co. Kelly Panacci Halloween pad for my background panels.  Some Halloween ribbon and a few purple gems finished my card.

My card is also for this week's challenge (#106) on the Just Us Girls blog ,which was a color challenge.

Here is the color inspiration:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to will visit the Card Patterns blog and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the Card Patterns DT, Sparkle and Peggy, and our very-talented Guest Designer, Jeanne!  I know you'll love their creations and we hope you'll be inspired to play along with us!

Just Us Girls Celebrates 100 Challenges!

Good morning!  It hasn't actually been a very good morning here.  We lost our power and phone yesterday evening as the tropical storm hit us with the heavy winds and rain.  It just came back a few minutes ago!  Needless to say, no computer or crafting for me during that time.  I haven't even had a cup of coffee today!  Yikes!  Anyway, now that I have my internet back, I'm dropping in to share the card I made for the 100th Challenge over on the Just Us Girls blog!  You'll definitely want to check out this week's challenge as there is some great blog candy to be won by some lucky participant!  I hope it's me!  The 100th challenge is a sketch challenge.  In fact, they are using the same sketch that they used for the very first challenge!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I started with an A6 cardbase of SU Lucky Limeade.  My patterned papers are all from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6x6 pad.  My image is Mo Manning's Trudy's Party Dress.  You can find her in Mo's store here.  I printed Trudy on Cryogen White and colored here with Copics.  I printed her dress to the same scale on patterned paper, cut it out and added it to the image.  I added some sparkle her and there with Stickles and made her shoes shiny like patent leather with Glossy Accents.  A button and bow finished my card.

Thank for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

Just Us Girls Challenge #97 - Altered Notebook

Hi, again!  It's my second post today - a miracle for me these days - but I wanted to share a project I made for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge.  If you are looking for my GD card for Mo's DP2 Challenge, click here.

This week's JUGS challenge was to alter a notebook of any kind.

Here is my project for the challenge:

My project was also shared this week on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  Additional details for creating this altered notebook can be found there.  Briefly, I used a tutorial for making a journal and pen set that I found on StampTV.  All the dimensions and instructions for the assembly can be found in that tutorial.  I used GKD Fresh Asparagus for the base cardstock and patterned paper from the Once Upon A Springtime collection for the layers.  I stamped the HCPC 3413 Basketweave Background onto Cryogen White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped some roses from the HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose set and also colored them with Copics.  I cut them out with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die and popped them up through the hole in the basketweave. Some satin ribbon accents finished my notebook.

Thanks for dropping by again!  I really appreciate your visits!

Card For a Couple of Challenges

Good afternoon! Happy 4th of July to those who are celebrating the holiday!  I hope that you had a wonderful weekend no matter what you were doing!  It's been super busy for me so I'm dropping in quickly to share a card I made for a couple of my favorite challenges.  I haven't been able to play much lately because of my huge computer issues and life, in general, taking precedence over card-making, but I managed to find a little time this afternoon and decided to play.

My card is for this week's Mo's DP challenge #89, where our hostess, Lisa, challenged us to make a card based on a book or a story.  My card is also for this week's Just Us Girls challenge (JUGS91) which was a sketch challenge from Kathryn.

Here is the JUGS sketch:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a card base of Papertrey Aqua Mist and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hazel 6x6 pad.  My image is Prince Edward Island from Mo's Digital Pencil. This cute image is reminiscent of Anne of Green Gables with her carpet bag.  That was my story inspiration.  She's colored with Copic markers, of course.  I used Liquid Pearls to accent the Spellbinders Scallop Circle frame. A satin bow, some buttons and a crocheted flower finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I so appreciate when you do!  Have a great evening!

Just Us Girls, Mojo and More

Good morning!  I've got a card to share today that I made for a couple of fun challenges.  First, it is for this week's challenge over at the Just Us Girls Challenge blog ( JUGS85), which was a color challenge to use all the colors of the rainbow for our card.  I used Mojo Monday Sketch #192 for my layout.  Finally, my card is for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge (MMTPT147) on Splitcoast Stampers.  The theme for our tea party this week was anything "fishy".  We are sending our cards to a 10 year old boy named Colton who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.  Colton loves fishing and he was also asked to be the Grand Marshal for the Strawberry Festival Parade in his town, hence the fishing theme and strawberries.  You can read more about the card drive for Colton here.

Here is the color inspiration for the JUGS challenge:

And here is the Mojo sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Green Apple and layered with fun patterned paper from the K & Co. Citronella 12x12 pad that has every color of the rainbow in it.  The cute digi, called Fishing Days, is from Sassy Cheryl's.  I received it as part of the original Help For Katie fundraising effort.  It is still available here.  I printed it on Cryogen White Iridescent CS and colored it with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Spring Mix set. It is cut and framed with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle dies. I cut out some little strawberries from October Afternoon's Fly A Kite patterned paper and added them around my card to finish it off.

Thanks for coming by to check out my blog!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

Card For A Few Challenges

Good morning!  I hope your day is off to a great start!  It's just gorgeous here today - the sun is shining and it's supposed to be at least 80 degrees!  Can't wait to get out to enjoy it!  Before I go, I'm sharing a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  First, it's for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge #80 which was a color challenge with the twist of making a birthday card.

My card is also for Card Patterns Sketch #111.  Here is the sketch:

Finally, my card is for the Greeting Card Challenge (GC041811) on The Outlawz site.  This week's theme was to use Spring colors and we had to include a greeting on the outside of the card.

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered with Blush Blossom.  The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Cappella 6x6 pad.  I stamped the image from Heartfelt Creations Spring Birdies and Roses three times onto Cryogen White Iridescent with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copic markers.  I cut out one whole image and various parts of the two others then layered them all with foam tape to add dimension.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations Inspire Me Sentiments.  It's also stamped on Cryogen White.  I cut it out Spellbinders Petite Ovals Nestabilities and sponged with Blush Blossom while it was still in the die.  It was layered onto one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two cut from Soft Sky.  Some aqua suede ribbon and a few adhesive pearls finished my card.

Thanks for dropping by!  Hope to see you soon!  Enjoy your day!
