Fireflies

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend already!  How good is that?  I am popping in this morning with a card to share with you.  It's my turn to post some DT inspiration over on the Digi Bells blog and I have chosen to showcase the adorable Fireflies from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 pad.  I printed the cute image on MiC Blending card and colored it with my Copics.  I colored in a twilight sky and some grass with my Copics, too.  The sentiment was computer-generated.  I added some Yellow Stickles to the fireflies and the flame in the lantern and some Glossy Accents to the lantern and jars.  A bit of bling finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start and you have fun plans for the rest of it!  It finally stopped raining here, so there's the possibility for being outside.  Hope so.  Anyway, I am here with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are sponsored this time by The Doodle Garden, who is offering the winner their choice of three digis.

I chose #222 for my card.  Here it is:

Here is my card with the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Wild Wasabi and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella True Friends 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Three Cheers from The Doodle Garden.  I printed her on Hammermill cardstock and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC. I added some Yellow Stickles to her hair bow and the flower centers.  Some ruffled ribbon from Webster's Pages and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Sketch Saturday #298

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  We've got a quiet weekend planned, that is unless anything changes!  I am here now with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are sponsored this week by Oak Pond Creations, who are offering our winner their choice of three digis from the Oak Pond Creations Etsy shop.

Here is the fabulous sketch from Alex:

And here is my take on the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Purely Pomegranate and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Plum Seed collection.  The adorable image is Miss Mary Contrary, one of the new Little Cottage Cuties by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  I was lucky enough to have won her during the release blog hop.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Silver Stickles to the silver bells to make them sparkle a little.  I colored in the grass with my Copics, also.  A few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Orchid Fairy

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  If you are looking for my Little Miss Muffet DT post, please scroll down one post.  I have a card to share that I made for a few challenges.  One of them was ending soon, so I wanted to get it in.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Sage Shadow and the glittery and shimmery patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden 6.5x6.5 pad.  The stunning image is Orchid Fairy with Butterfly Wings from AuroraWings.  Mitzi has so many gorgeous digital stamps in her AuroraWings Etsy shop!  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Star Dust, Icicle, Diamond and Crystal Stickles to the bubbles, wings and her dress to make them sparkle.  I tried to add shimmer to the orchids with Viva Décor Rose Inka-Gold, but you can hardly see it in the photo and it dulled the coloring a little, I think.  Finally, I spritzed the whole image with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist (also hard to see).   I didn't add any embellishments as this had enough going on already.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be around shortly to visit.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas (make it sparkle)
Crafting From The Heart #7 (anything goes; flowers)
Digi Galore (Wings)
Kit and Clowder February Challenge (any colored image)
Stamps by AuroraWings February FB Challenge (favorite flowers)

Little Miss Muffet - Super Saturday

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's going to be rainy all weekend, so it will be a good time to catch up on things and take stock of what's left to do to get ready for the holidays.  First things first.  I am here to share my DT project for this week's Super Saturday post on the Little Miss Muffet blog.  We have a freebie, a $1 digi, a spotlighted stamp at a reduced price and as always, inspiration from the Little Misses for all of them.

The freebie is Palm Tree and the $1 digi is Christmas Palm Tree.  They are so fun!  I didn't have a chance to use them, but I did make a card with one of the spotlighted stamps, Eleanor May Hatter.  Hatter Hats and Hatter Hat Stands are also spotlighted.

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Bright Christmas 6x6 pad.  I colored up Eleanor May Hatter with my Copics and added some Liquid Pearls and Star Dust Stickles to the plume and ornament on her hat.  That's it!  A simple green satin bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Elphine House Australia Challenge #53 - With A Twist

Hi again! I'm back with my DT post for this month's challenge at Elphine House Australia.  I apologize for being late with my post.  I had an eye appointment this afternoon and they dilated my eyes.  I am still having trouble looking at the computer screen!  Anyway, we have something a little different for you starting today. This time, you have your choice of playing along with either or both of two themes - the one we had planned for November and/or the December challenge theme.  The current challenge will run until December 30th and we will announce the winners on December 31st.  Starting in January, we will be back to our normal monthly schedule.  We will have a mid-challenge inspiration post for you, but head on over to the Elphine House blog right now to see some gorgeous DT inspiration with both themes!

Without further ado, the two themes are "falling leaves" or "let it snow".

Here is my card for the "falling leaves" theme:

My card base and mats are cardstock from my stash.  The patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Autumn Song 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is Tommy Apples for Mom by Elisabeth Bell for Elphine House Australia.  I stamped him on MiC Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I framed him with an ornate leaf frame cut with my Cameo using a file from the Silhouette store.  I layered the frame over another piece of patterned paper.  The "thankful" sentiment was also cut with my Cameo using a file from Miss Kate Cuttables.  A bunch of Recollections paper leaves, a few rhinestone leaf stickers and some olive gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Elphine House blog and check out the gorgeous creations for both themes from the rest of the DT.  We hope you will play along!  Don't forget, you must you an Elisabeth Bell image (any company) to enter the challenge.

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  I am out of town again for a couple of days, so I have another pre-scheduled post today.  I am sharing my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  This week we have a color inspiration challenge for you.  You can do anything you'd like with the colors, but please remember to have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is the color inspiration photo that our teammie, Tress, picked:

It's a perfect color palette for fall or Halloween, don't you think?

Here is my card:

I went the Halloween route and used some fun Halloween patterned paper from K & Co. for the background.  I cut a big spider web with a cut file from Miss Kate Cuttables, then cut it in pieces to add around the border of my card.  The adorable image is Pirate Kai by Mo Manning for Penny Black.  I stamped him on MiC Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the jack-o-lantern face.  A few plastic spiders in the webs and around the image finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along with us this week!  There are always great prizes to be won when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

Glamour and Glitz

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  How has your week been so far?  Good, I hope.  It's been raining cats and dogs here all week!  Between that and the thunderstorms, it was so dark yesterday that the streetlights came on in the daytime!  It's rumbling again out there, so I am going to try to get this posted before the storm gets too close.  I have a card to share with you that I made for a few challenges I like doing when I can.

Here it is:

My card base is GKD Heavy Base Weight White and the mats are SU Lavender Lace.  I created the embossed layer with a Cuttlebug Window Panes embossing folder to which I added some Basic Grey Bling It diamond gems. The patterned paper is from the Prima Meadow Lark 6x6 pad.  My glamourous image is Fancy from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's store here.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added lots of sparkle to her bodice and the flowers in her hair with Stickles.  I added pearls to her hair with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A satin bow and a few more diamond gems finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20, R11
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress, gloves and hair ribbon: V20, V22, V25, V28
Flowers in hair: V01, V04, V06
