Penny Black and More Guest Designer

Good morning!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a good weekend so far!  It's been relatively quiet here with a bit of time for catching up on things.  You are probably surprised to see me on a Sunday!  I'm here with something really fun today!  Based upon entering this card, I was invited to be a Guest Designer for March for the Penny Black and More Challenge!  Of course, I said yes!  The theme for the March challenge is "so sweet".

Here is my "sweet" card:

My card base and mats are SU Strawberry Slush and the patterned papers are from the October Afternoon Woodland Park 8x8 pad.  The fun image is Let's Party from Penny Black.  I stamped it on Hammermill Digital Cover Stock and colored it with my Copics.    I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the star and the candle.  I colored in a sky and some grass with my Copics, too.  The sentiment is computer-generated.

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the fun challenge over at Penny Black and More!  I'm sure the team would love it if you'd play along this month!

I am entering my card in the following challenge:
Seize the Birthday (anything goes)
The Corrosive Challenge #194 (animals)

Have a wonderful day and see you soon!

Sketch Saturday #292

Hi again!  As promised, I am back with my DT card for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge #292.  We are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the prize is a $25 GC to the Simon Says Stamp shop.  Who wouldn't want to win that?

Here is SS-292:

And here is my card:

I made made the sketch into a square and tweaked the size of the image panel a little to fit my image.  My card base and mats are SU Primrose Petals and the patterned papers are from the Crate Paper Fourteen and My Mind's Eye Love Me 6x6 pads.  The adorable stamp is Joyride by Penny Black.  This is a "new-to-me" stamp that I won in a challenge awhile back.  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Glossy Accents to the headlight and windshield.   A heart punched from swirly glitter paper finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Christmas Kiss

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a great start!  My thoughts are with all who were impacted by the terrible storms yesterday.   What crazy weather for November!  Luckily, it was just windy and rainy here.  I'm so grateful for that.  Anyway, I am here with a quick post to share another Christmas card I made to add to my stash.  It won't be long before we have to start sending these out!

Here is my card:

I made an scallop circle easel card.  The base and mats are green cardstock from my stash and the patterned paper is from the October Afternoon Holiday Style 8x8 pad.  The festive image is Christmas Kiss by Mo Manning for Penny Black.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Silver Stickles to the ornament top and her barrette, Lime Green Stickles to her slippers and Red Stickles to the heart in her hair.  I added Ice White Pearl Pen accents to her headband and Glossy Accents to the holly berries.   The sentiment is a 3-D sticker from my stash.  I added a couple more ornament stickers to the easel base, but you can't see them here.  A bright red satin bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a couple of things to do, then I'll be popping by to visit your blogs.

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  I am out of town again for a couple of days, so I have another pre-scheduled post today.  I am sharing my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  This week we have a color inspiration challenge for you.  You can do anything you'd like with the colors, but please remember to have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is the color inspiration photo that our teammie, Tress, picked:

It's a perfect color palette for fall or Halloween, don't you think?

Here is my card:

I went the Halloween route and used some fun Halloween patterned paper from K & Co. for the background.  I cut a big spider web with a cut file from Miss Kate Cuttables, then cut it in pieces to add around the border of my card.  The adorable image is Pirate Kai by Mo Manning for Penny Black.  I stamped him on MiC Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the jack-o-lantern face.  A few plastic spiders in the webs and around the image finished my card.
