Alice and White Rabbit

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today to share something really fun with you!  I have a Make it Crafty inspiration project that I hope you will enjoy.  It is inspiration for a couple of different things.  First, it is for the Make it Colourful Colouring Challenge #11. The easy part of the challenge is to color blonde hair and the hard challenge is to color folds and creases.  I decided to take on both.  In addition, this is inspiration for Zoe's fabulous new eBook called Techniques Behind My Creases and Folds.  This is a fantastic guide to understanding how to color folds and pleats and creases.  It's super easy to follow and comes with awesome examples and exercises.  If you haven't done so already, you will definitely want to get this incredible resource for yourself!

Anyway, on to my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Blue Denim and the patterned papers are from the Little Yellow Bicycle Feels Like Home 6x6 pad.  Too bad I covered up the layer with all the cute teacups!  The fun image is Alice and White Rabbit from Make it Crafty.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I gave her a dirty blonde hair color and I worked really hard on the folds and creases!  Believe me, there are a lot of them on this image!  Obviously, I still need a lot of practice, but I am studying Zoe's tutorial more and next time, hopefully they will look better.  I added a really playing card behind the image panel, as well as a few little cards I cut out with my Cameo.  A wooden clock embellishment, a striped ribbon bow and a tiny watch charm finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image (please don't scrutinize those folds too much):

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Blonde Hair: E50, E53, E43, E57
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
White: C0, C1, C3, C5
Reds: R22, R35, R37, R46, R59

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the Make it Crafty Fan Page on Facebook for loads of inspiration and fun chat.  Oh, and have you seen the fabulous new photo galleries at the Make it Crafty store?  You should definitely enter all your MiC projects there!  It's super easy to do and who knows?  Your project may be one that Zoe picks to feature!

I am entering my card in the following challenges;
Digi Sketch Challenge (sketch only)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #111 (red, white and blue)
A Creative Romance Challenge (show the colors of your flag; in my case, red, white and blue)

Here is the sketch:

Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday and happy 4th of July to those in the US and anyone else who might be celebrating!  It is a beautiful day here in AL and I can't wait to get out and enjoy it!  Before I do, I am here with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  As you may have already seen, we've changed this challenge from using alcohol markers only to using any coloring medium.  You still must have a colored image on your project, but this gives lots more options, in case you prefer pencils, watercolors, etc.  Of course, you can still use your trusty alcohol markers!  Anyway, the theme this week is "red, white and blue".  Your project doesn't have to be patriotic, but we want to see these three colors.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Lost Lagoon and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Celebrate 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is Crimson Illusion by ching chou kuik from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added silvery glitter to the leaves and Ice White Pearl Pen accents to the toadstools.  I finished my card with a simple bow and a couple of MiC chipboard butterflies.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the gorgeous projects from my teammies, Dawn, Penny and Kathi.  We hope you will play along this week!  We have a new sponsor for our challenges this month.  For the month of July, we are sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps, who are offering the randomly-selected winner 2 digis of their choice from the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy shop.  Wendy has some adorable digis, so be sure to check it out.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #13 (patriotic colors: I used red, white and blue)
One Sweet Challenge July (red, white and blue)
Party Time Tuesdays #179 (red, white and blue)

Here is my card:

I went with a new Mom theme for someone I know who just found out she is pregnant.  My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Girl 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Ice Cream & Pickles by Saturated Canary for Little Darling Rubber Stamps.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few safety pin brads from my stash finished my card.

Guest Designer - Crafts-Too Challenge You

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a great start!  It was cold and rainy here all weekend, but at least we did not get any snow or ice, so I am grateful.  I am here today with some exciting news!  I recently came in Top 3 at Crafts-Too Challenge You and I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the December Challenge!  The main theme for Challenge #6  is "the natural world" and Twist 1 is: add a flower.  There is a little spotlight on my project over on the C2CU blog.  I am so honored!

Here is my project:

I went with a natural and vintage style for my card in keeping with the theme.  My card base and mats are GKD Fresh Asparagus and the patterned papers have lots of images from nature and holiday flowers.  They are from the K & Co. Elizabeth Brownd Christmas collection and the Recollections Botanica Noel paper pad.  The main image is a vintage Christmas Graphic called Pine Branch Frame from The Graphics Fairy. I stitched around all the panels and added sparkling Shabby White Fran-Tage here and there to look like snow. I added some vintage lace and some ivory seam binding that I distressed with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  A cluster of Wild Orchid Crafts Red Berries and a dimensional poinsettia sticker finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the vintage image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my inspiration for the new challenge at Crafts-Too Challenge You!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

The Digi Bells GDT - Christmas Bells

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope the first half of your week has gone well!  It's cold here in AL!  It was only 28 degrees this morning, which is very unusual for our area.  We are having our roof replaced this week (super messy and noisy, I can tell you!).  Go figure we'd have our coldest and windiest days while they are trying to get it done up there!  Anyway, I am here with my next post on the Digi Bells DT blog.   I am so enjoying being on the GDT this term!

Here is today's card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers are from a couple of K & Co. Christmas 12x12 pads.  The beautiful image is Christmas Bells from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.  I printed her on MiC Blending card and colored her with my Copics.  I added lots of sparkly white glitter to the trim on her cape, dress, boots and muff.   I added a couple of snowflakes cut from glitter paper with Cheery Lynn's Snowflake 2 die.  Crocheted lace, a satin bow, a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and three Doodlebug Sugar-Coated brads finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll try to stop by your blogs in between all the pounding on the roof over my head!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Incy Wincy (sketch challenge)
Papertake Weekly (snow and ice)
Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge (blues)

All Spruced Up

Hi again!  I'm back with another quick post!  I was feeling pretty well this afternoon so I put together a vintage Christmas card to add to my stash.  I used another pre-colored vintage image from my files so I didn't have to sit and color.  All I had to do was design, glue and go!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Fresh Asparagus and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Vintage Christmas 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is Snow Girl with Topiary from The Graphics Fairy.    I added a bit of Shabby White Fran-Tage to the image for some texture.    The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was from Paulette's recent Winter Club.  If you have never done one of her Clubs, you are really missing out! You get lots of fabulous digital images, sentiments and papers sent every day right to your mailbox.  Check out the upcoming Club here.  I added lots of pretty embellishments to my collage: a Silver Vintage Metal Corner, Wild Orchid Crafts Ivory Roses and Red Berries and some vintage lace.  A triple-loop seam binding bow, a pearl spray and a metal dove that I also Fran-Taged finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I made a little progress with my blogging today and I hope to make more later.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge #231 (Christmas cheer)
A Creative Romance (add metal)
Papertake Weekly (anything goes; optional Christmas)
Fab 'n Funky #192 (traditional Christmas colors)
Crafts and Me Challenge #142 (vintage Christmas)
Live & Love Crafts Challenge #17 (vintage Christmas collage)
