Sketch Saturday #337

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Well, yesterday turned out even nice than I thought!  It was in the mid 60s and sunny all day! It was nice Fall day and very welcome after the chilly days all week.  We'll see how today turns out.  Right now, I am here with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday challenge.  Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps who are offering the lucky winner 7 digis of their choice from the Bugaboo Stamps shop!

Here is this week's sketch, designed by Debra:
And here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Festivus 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Snowglobe Ava from Bugaboo Stamps.  I colored it with my Copics and then added sparkly glitter to the snow, the trim on her hat and the baubles on the tree.  The sentiment is part of the digi stamp.

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week and you have fun plans for the upcoming weekend!  Yesterday's report from my surgeon was good.  I am healing well, but still have to take it easy, especially with prolonged sitting and standing.  I can start walking short distances, so I'm looking forward to that.   Anyway, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "tickle my funny bone".  We want to see something humorous and it can be for any occasion.  Please remember that your entry must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my attempt at humor:

The card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste "Flair" 6x6 pad.  The fun image and sentiment are from the Friends Don't Let Friends Wine Alone digi set from Bugaboo Stamps.  I printed the image on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to their jewelry and purse and Glossy Accents to their wine glasses and eyeglasses.   A bit of bling from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fab and funny creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along!  There are always terrific prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

613 Avenue Create - Guest Designer

Good morning!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you're having a nice weekend so far!  We might get some rain this morning, but yesterday was a delightful Spring day with warm temperatures and bright sunshine! Love it!  I'm popping in to share this week's Guest Designer card for the 613 Avenue Create challenge blog. Sorry for being a little late with my post. It wasn't Blogger's fault this time. I forgot to pre-schedule my post, so it was sitting in my drafts.  The theme for this week's challenge is "anything goes" with an optional sketch to follow.  The sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and I was generously provided with a cute digi for making my card.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my take:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Tangerine 6x6 pad.   The cute image is BBrat Big Bow Sitter from Bugaboo Stamps. I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I gave another try at the clouds and grass.  Hopefully they will get better every time I try.   The banners were cut from the patterned paper and the sentiment is from Create With TLC.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the 613 Avenue Create blog and check out the fantastic creations from all of Team A, including four new members of the team!  Hope you will find time to play along!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning, again!  This time I'm up and posting myself!  I'm back to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "fall activities", such as football, apple-picking, raking leaves, pumpkin patch, etc.  Anything related to fall activities as long as you have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist and the patterned papers are from Webster's Pages Game On Petite Papers and Motifs.  I chose football as my fall activity.  I merged two cute images from Bugaboo Stamps, Football Boy and Cheerleader Girl from the Bugaboo Brat Sports collection.  I printed the merged image on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics. I added a bunch of red glitter to her pom poms.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A punched star and a few football-related stickers from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fun fall creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you'll pull out your alcohol markers and come join us for the challenge!  The October challenges are being generously sponsored by Make it Crafty!  One lucky participant in our challenges will win Zoe's new Colouring Techniques E-Book!  You don't want to miss out on the chance to win this awesome prize!  Check out all the fabulous products in the Make it Crafty store here.

Still Hot

Hi there!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge (The Outlawz), please scroll down one post.  I am popping in for just a moment to post the card I made for Joan's Gardens Challenge #23.  The requirements were to have an "oldies but goodies" theme, use blue, add a corner embellishment and  make a card for a friend.  I knew right away I wanted to make a birthday card for a good friend of mine whose birthday is just around the corner.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Turquoise Sea and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Be Amazing 6x6 pad.  My fun "oldies but goodies" image is Stella - Still Hot from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think Stella is just a hoot and unfortunately, I can relate to this particular image and sentiment!  I'm pretty sure my friend will enjoy it, too!  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Glossy Accents to her glasses.  The corner embellishments were made   by trimming up a Cheery Lynn Dutch Square Doily die cut and adding a turquoise gem to each corner and that was it.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have a great weekend and hope to see you again soon!

Eat More Cake

Hi There!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I've been so busy these last couple of days, I haven't had much time for crafting.  I did manage to make one card for a couple of challenges I like to do so I'm quickly sharing it so I don't miss the deadline for one of them.  It is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #153, Simon Says Stamp (Sweet Tooth) and Basic Grey Challenges #68 (anything goes -use Basic Grey).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Almost Amethyst and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Stella Birthday- Eat More Cake from Bugaboo Stamps.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.  I added a bunch of Stickles to the cake and Glossy Accents to her glasses and the balloon.  I added a border punched with a Martha Stewart Edger Punch.  A satin bow, button and a bit of Baker's Twine finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to be back soon with a couple of things I'm still working on.

Have a great night!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  Looks like more nice weather for us.  I hope to have time to get out and enjoy it!  Meanwhile, I'm here to share my DT project for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "humor".  We also have something special for you this week!  Our very own, very talented DT member, Jo, has put together a fun tutorial on how to make a card folio from a pocket folder.  As always, this part is optional, but I encourage you to check out Jo's tutorial in the challenge thread.  It is fun and easy and very useful, too!

Here is my project:

I wanted to try Jo's tutorial so I made a folio.  Rather than for cards, I thought it would make a great holder for store coupons, gift certificates, special offers, etc.  I don't know about you, but I end up stuffing all those coupons here and there and then I never have them when I get to the store.  I started with a blue double pocket folder and covered the front with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Aged & Confused Phresh & Phunky collection.  My fun image is Ruby Tidbits - Overdrawn from Bugaboo Stamps.  She can be found in the Buguboo store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added some sparkle to her bags with Spica pens and some Glossy Accents to her glasses.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It is from her Retail Therapy set which can be found in the Create With TLC store here.  I created my closure with a couple of jumbo eyelets and some ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from my wonderful teammies and our very talented Guest Designer, Penny!  You will also find Jo's terrific video tutorial and PDF linked there.  We hope you'll come and play along with us!  There are lots of awesome prizes up for grabs each month when you play along with the challenges at The Outlawz!

Have a great day and weekend and see you soon!

Card For A Couple of Challenges

Hi there!  Happy Hump Day!  Have you had a good week so far?  Mine's been busy, but good.  I'm popping in to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  It's for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #142, Simon Says Stamp (use three different patterned papers), Digital Tuesday #148 (make it sparkle) and Copic Challenge #37 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site (lots of laughs and bright, fun colors).

Here is the SSW sketch:

And here is the CMC Inspiration photo:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Melon Mambo and layered with three different brightly colored papers from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6x6 pad following the sketch.  My fun image is Stella Love - Person To Annoy from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I printed Stella and Gus on Cryogen White and colored them with Copics.  I added some sparkle to her dress, slippers and the little heart with Stickles.   I also added some Glossy Accents to their glasses. The funny sentiment is from the same image set.  I thought this would make a cute anniversary card!  A few turquoise rhinestones finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm off for an afternoon of appointments, so I'll check back in with you all later.

Have a great day!

Teapot Tuesday and More

Hi there!  Hope you've had a good day!  This is my second post today, so if you are looking for my Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team post, please click here.  I'm back to share a special card I made for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  You can read this week's story here. Two weeks ago, the destination for our teapot cards was Nate and Will Renz, the twin sons of Katie Renz, who sadly lost her courageous battle with gastric cancer on November 7.  The twins turned 6 on November 19 and we wanted to shower the boys with birthday wishes at what was otherwise a very sad time for their family.  Well, this week, our destination is Katie's oldest son, Hunter.  Hunter is turning 12 on Thursday and we wanted to keep the birthday wishes flowing for him, too.  You can read all about Hunter here.  Hunter loves books and reading and magic.  He especially loves Harry Potter!

Here is the card I made for Hunter:

I used the sketch from The Paper Player's Challenge #74 for my layout.  Here is the sketch:

I started with a card base of GKD Cranberry Tart and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Oxford 6x6 pad.  I used this cute image from Bugaboo Stamps called Har Repotter - The Chosen One.  I printed him on Cryogen White and colored him with Copic markers.  I added some Polar White Flower Soft to look like feathers on the owl and Glossy Accents on Harry's glasses.  The sentiment was a freebie from Paulette at Create With TLC.  The numbers were from a Basic Grey alpha sticker set. The card is personalized for Hunter with more alpha stickers on the inside.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by again!  I hope you have a great night!
