Sketch Saturday #313

Good morning! Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Boy, was it ever stormy yesterday!  We had lots of pop-up downpours and thunderstorms all afternoon.  Good day to be inside!  Anyway, I am here this morning with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are sponsored by Sassy Cheryl's Stamps, who are offering a $5 GC to the lucky winner of the challenge.

Here is the fun sketch, designed by Alex:

Here is my card:

I decided to flip the sketch.  My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Collectable "Memorable" 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is No. 2 Pencil & a Dream from Sassy Cheryl's. I printed the digi on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added in the sky and grass with my Copics, too.  I did a bit of doodling around the image panel.  A couple of K & Co. SMASH banners and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Sketch Saturday blog and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the Saturday Girls and our guest designer for June, Anja!  We hope you will join in this week!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge # 210 (doodle it up)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #106 (anything goes)
Digitally Sweet Challenge #91 (for the girls)

Have a great day and see you soon!

Just Us Girls, Mojo and More

Good morning!  I've got a card to share today that I made for a couple of fun challenges.  First, it is for this week's challenge over at the Just Us Girls Challenge blog ( JUGS85), which was a color challenge to use all the colors of the rainbow for our card.  I used Mojo Monday Sketch #192 for my layout.  Finally, my card is for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge (MMTPT147) on Splitcoast Stampers.  The theme for our tea party this week was anything "fishy".  We are sending our cards to a 10 year old boy named Colton who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.  Colton loves fishing and he was also asked to be the Grand Marshal for the Strawberry Festival Parade in his town, hence the fishing theme and strawberries.  You can read more about the card drive for Colton here.

Here is the color inspiration for the JUGS challenge:

And here is the Mojo sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Green Apple and layered with fun patterned paper from the K & Co. Citronella 12x12 pad that has every color of the rainbow in it.  The cute digi, called Fishing Days, is from Sassy Cheryl's.  I received it as part of the original Help For Katie fundraising effort.  It is still available here.  I printed it on Cryogen White Iridescent CS and colored it with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Spring Mix set. It is cut and framed with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle dies. I cut out some little strawberries from October Afternoon's Fly A Kite patterned paper and added them around my card to finish it off.

Thanks for coming by to check out my blog!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!
