Little Miss Muffet Challenge #78 - Love

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  It's been a crazy week here in AL!  We got hit hard by Winter Storm Leon and basically the whole metropolitan area has been shut down for a few days.  Poor hubby got stuck at work on Tuesday and had to spend the night in his office.  He made it home safely last night, but not without a harrowing drive.  We just aren't equipped to deal with snow and ice here in the South! Anyway, it's Thursday and time for my Little Miss Muffet DT post.  We have a new challenge for you today and the theme is "love".  Perfect for this time of year!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Valentine 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Celeste Amberglow Cooking Up Some Love by Pollycraft for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I colored her with my Copics, cut her out and popped her up on a heart-shaped frame cut with my Cameo.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some blue dotted ribbon and a couple of pink heart gems in the corners finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet blog and check out the love-ly creations from the rest of the Little Misses and our wonderful Guest Designers, Wendy, Melissa and Rebecca!  We hope you will play along!  You have until Tuesday, February 11th at 11:55 PM CST to enter your project.  All the deatls and rules are on the LMM blog.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge #61 (sketch)
Oozak Challenge #30 (love)
Sentimental Sundays #191 (lovey dovey)
Craft Your Passion #198 (spots and stripes)

Here is FSC-61:

Have a great day and see you soon!

  1. Carla, I know the heart is the point of the layout, but it works so well with your image choice and papers. Fab colouring too x

  3. You not only color beautifully, but you also do a darn fine job at cutting out. This is so cute with that perfect sentiment. It just adorable. I'm glad to hear Hubby made it home without incident even if it was the next day. I had been seeing pictures of Al. on the news. I hope the weather goes back to normal for you. We are in a cold freeze but it is suppose to go up to the high 40's by the end of this weekend. It's foolish this year. Enjoy the day, Carla.

  4. Your "love" card is just adorable, Carla. That little cook looks so cute against that heart.

Glad your hubby is safe. Gosh, what a mess you all have had. We only had a dusting of snow. My neighbor was in your area for the birth of a grandchild the day the snow hit. Thought they were going to have to stay in the hospital all night but got safely to her son's home after a wild ride.

  5. Carla, what a fun card. That is one of my favorite images from Little Muffet. Glad your husband is safe. I'm sure he feels he spends enough time there. We finally are warming up, but are to get some more snow.

  15. This is such a fun, playful card. The image is adorable and beautifully coloured. I love how she pops next to that gorgeous heart.
