The freebie this week is Monster Vic. I didn't have a chance to create with him, but he is another of the adorable monsters available in the shop. The spotlighted stamp sets are Swings 'n Slides Carnival Sentiments #1 and #2. The sentiments are fabulous on their own, but also pair perfectly with all the fun carnival-inspired stamps from Pollycraft for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
Here is my card:
My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the October Afternoon Midway 8x8 pad. The fun main image is Swings 'n Slides Carousel from Pollycraft for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I've colored it up with my Copics and added lots of Stickles for sparkle. The sentiment is from Swings 'n Slides Carnival Sentiments #2. I finished my card with a chevron ribbon bow, a button and some gems from my stash.
Here is a close-up of the colored image:

That image is super cute Carla. The paper with the arrows is such a great compliment to the carousel. Lots of fun. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi, Carla! Sorry I haven't stopped by in a while. I am only now getting back to a regular schedule. I will have to backtrack and see what fabulous papers I have missed!
ReplyDeleteThis design is fabulous! You have chose just the right papers and colors to take a "cute" design project and elevate it. The color integration is wonderful. Using Orange as a spot color is pretty cool and the directional background paper adds cohesiveness to the overall design. Just the perfect project. Thanks for dropping this off by our house at 613 Avenue Create!

Oh this brings me back to my (much) younger day when we used to go to the Carousel in the amusement park. My dad's first job was running a Carousel. You really did this image justice. Love the colors and your "sky" work always amazes me. Totally great job and thanks for the memories. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo cute Carla and very well done - it sure is a fun card. I have a little tin carousel that looks just like yours!
