Friendship

Hi again!  I'm back with another post today and I promise to make it as quick as possible.  I made a card for the current DT call on the Elphine House blog.  I love all of Elisabeth Bell's stamps and Elphine House has some really gorgeous ones!  When I saw they were looking for a couple of new DT members, I had to go ahead and apply!  The theme for the DT call is "friendship".

Here is the card I made:

My card base and mats are SU Soft Sky and the patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden 6x6 pad.  I stitched around the border and distressed all the edges with a scissors and Antique Linen Distress Ink. My sweet friendship image is Carrie Swan Princess from Elphine House.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added the grass with Copics, too, then lightly sponged a cloudy sky with Soft Sky ink.  I ink-distressed the image panel and framed it with a Spellbinders Floral Oval diecut.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  That got a little distressing, also. I finished my card with some vintage seam binding ribbon, a pearl pin and a few roses from my stash.
