Guylou's Inimitability Challenge

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  It's super early and if all goes well, I will still be sleeping when you see my post.  I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability.  Guylou is our wonderful host this time and the theme is "Twisted Christmas".  Guylou is challenging us to create a project with non-traditional Christmas colors.

Here are the challenge details:
Challenge Deadline:
You have until 10:00 PM (EDT) on December 13th to link your project to the Inlinkz at the end of the challenge post.
How to participate:
You may enter only ONE project per challenge, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries.  If you don't have one of Guylou's digistamps, you can check the online store where several freebies are available.
Challenge Prizes:
A winner will be selected randomly and will win:
1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store
2. An invitation to be a Guest Designer on one of our upcoming challenges.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Turquoise Sea and the patterned papers are from the Jillibean Soup Winter Tortellini and Spinach Soup 6x6 pad.  My cute holiday image is Roger and Leah - Christmas 1 from Guylou's Inimitability.  I printed them on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I used primarily turquoise, pink and brown for my non-traditional color combo.  Hopefully I won't get marked off for having just a smidge of red and green!  I added Stickles and Liquid Pearls here and there for some added sparkle and dimension.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the recent Winter Club that Paulette shared.   I kept the embellishments to a minimum, but added a few iridescent pink gems to finish my card.

Here is a close-up of Roger and Leah:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Guylou's Inimitability blog and check out the gorgeous Twisted Christmas projects from Guylou and the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along with us!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday #235 (sketch)
Love To Create #43 (non-traditional Christmas colors)
Tuesday Throwdown #125 (lots of layers)
Hooked On Craft Challenge #27 (Christmas)

Have a wonderful day!  I'll be back later this morning with my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz!

  3. You picked great non-traditional colors and did a phenomenal coloring job. Great sentiment also. The paper with all the neighborhood houses is the perfect backdrop for a couple bearing gifts at a front door.
