Happy Balloon Day

Good morning!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I'm heading out for the day, but before I go, I wanted to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  It is for the Saturated Canary Challenge #19 (anything goes), Sweet Sketch Wednesday #157 (sponsored by Saturated Canary) and another entry for Oozak Challenge #3 (two papers and embellies).

I started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered with two patterned papers from the October Afternoon Sidewalks 8x8 pad.  My cute image is Ava from Saturated Canary.  Krista generously offered her as a freebie on her blog a few weeks ago.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles to the little buttons on her shoes.  I added some polka dots to her outfit with my Sharpie White Paint Pen to carry on the dotty theme I had going on.  I got the idea from Tammy Maynard here.  Thanks for the inspiration, Tammy!  Some dotted Bermuda Bay ribbon, a crocheted flower and a gingham brad for the flower center finished my card.

    Absolutely awesome!! I love these images so much, buy found I really struggle to color them as well as many of you experts and then it takes away from their wonderful look.

    Practice will help, but I'm always blown away and how fabulous they come out, when colored to perfection! You rocked it!!
