For Someone Sweet

Hi there!  Have you had a good weekend?  We've been enjoying our visit with our friends and I will be sorry when they have to leave tomorrow.  I'm popping in really quickly to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  First it's for the March/April Challenge on Elisabeth Bell's World (Shabby Chic/Distressing).  It is also for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #147 and Simon Says Stamp (anything goes).

Here is my take on the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Sage Shadow and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Market Street 6x6 pad.  I distressed all the edges of the papers for a more shabby look.  I also ink distressed the papers with Antique Linen Distress Ink.   My sweet Elisabeth Bell image is Belles 'n Whistles Cupcake.  I stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I ink distressed around the image panel also.  I added a bow of hand-dyed seam binding and a vintage Wild Orchid Crafts rose.  A few pale peach pearls finished my card.
