Cafe de Paris

Good morning!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a good weekend so far!  We've been pretty busy, so hoping that today will be a day to relax.  It is supposed to get near 60 later!  Sorry to mention that, especially to my friends and family who got hit with yet another snow storm yesterday. Crazy! Anyway, I am popping in quickly to share the card I made for this month's Make it Colourful Challenge #6.  As always, there is an easy and hard component to the challenge.  The easy challenge was to color with browns and the hard challenge was to color the entire image in brown like a sepia photograph.  Even skin tones had to be sepia.  I decided to give the sepia look a try and combine the two parts of the challenge. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Chocolate Chip and the barely-visible patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Madison Avenue 6x6 pad.  I created a scene to color by merging a cropped version of the Café de Paris Digi Stamp with Seductive Barbs from the new Carefree Woman collection, all from Make it Crafty, of course.  I printed the merged image on MiC Blending Card and colored it using only E markers (E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49). It sure was hard coloring her skin with these markers!  I didn't add any sentiment or embellishments so the scene would be the main focus.

Here is a close-up of the colored scene:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be around a little later to catch up on your blogs!

Have a great day!
