Joan's Gardens Card Challenge

Hi again!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations post, you can click here or scroll down one post.  I am back because I wanted to share the card I made for this week's Card Challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog.  The requirements for this week are the following:
- use purple
- make a birthday card
- add something dimensional
- make a box for the card using Selma's tutorial

Here are a few photos of my card and its box.  First is the card by itself:

Here is the card with the box:

Finally, this is the card inside its box:

I kept my designs pretty simple.  For the card, I started with a 5 1/2" sqaure card base of SU Eggplant Envy and layered with patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection. I used some dusty pink satin ribbon from my stash and a few Bo Bunny Jazmyne flowers.  The sentiment from Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3414 Belated Birthday Wishes was stamped with Vivid Coffee Bean onto GKD Ivory and cut out and framed with Spellbinders Labels Four Large and Small dies.  I sponged the image panel with Spun Sugar Distress Ink while it was still in the die.  A Prima pearl flourish completed my card.  For the box, I also used Eggplant Envy CS and another pattern of Bo Bunny Jazmyne paper.  I followed Selma's tutorial exactly for the dimensions.  A simple pink satin bow and Webster's Pages Sparkler finished off the box.

Thanks for dropping in again!  I really appreciate your visits!  See you soon!
