Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and you have some fun plans for the weekend!  I'll be away for a couple of days, so my time on the computer will be limited and my posts will all be pre-scheduled.  I am here this morning with my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week, the theme is "anything goes" with the optional twist to make a Christmas card for your stash.  You don't have to make it Christmas, but you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Christmas 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is Queen of the Holly from Delicious Doodles.  I printed I on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some pearl accents to her jewelry with my Viva Décor Ice White Pearl Pen.  The sentiment is stamped.  Some wide crocheted lace and a few pearls finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fabulous creations by Dawn, Penny and Kathi.  We hope you will play along this week.  It doesn't get any easier than "anything goes"!  It's your last chance to get in the running for the fantastic prizes being offered by our sponsor for May, Ditzie Digi Design.  There are three prizes: 1st place is three digis, 2nd place is two digis and 3rd place is one digi.  Lots of chances to win!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly (sketchie free-for-all; I used #90 shown)
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #218 (Christmas)

Here is the PTW sketch:

Have a great weekend and see you soon!

  2. Carla, just a beautiful image and your coloring has really brought out the definition in her arms and the folds in her dress. Wonderful job, as usual. Great papers you went with on this one. I'm glad you've pre-scheduled your posts because I would go through withdrawal not having your works of art to view. Have a great day today.
