StampTV Sketch Challenge and Teapot Tuesday

Wow!  It's been a busy week so far!  I haven't had much time for card-making, but I did manage to make a card for two challenges.  First, it was for this week's StampTV Sketch Spotlight Challenge (STVSKSP7).  It was also for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  You can find all the details of this week's teapot challenge right here.  This week our Destination Staion was Cody, Wyoming where we are celebrating the birth of a new baby boy to one of our fellow teapotters, JamiePTS (and the new grandma, Jamie's MIL, Pat Smethers).  Check out the details of the baby card "shower" we are throwing for Jamie here.

Here is this week's StampTV Sketch from Gina K:

Here is my card:

I kept my design pretty simple and a little non-traditional, I think, for a baby card.  I used the adorable teddy bear from the Gina K. Designs set, First Christmas.  I colored him with Copic markers and then paper-pieced his scarf and stocking cap.  I added Liquid Applique to the trim of the hat and puffed it with a heat tool to look like fur.  The sentiment tag was cut with one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tags and layered with a Petite Ovals Nestabilities.  The Sweet Baby sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Spring Mix set and the tag sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Fanciful Tags.  My card base is GKD Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and the DP is from the Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane Petite Papers pack.  I added 3 light aqua pearls to finish it.

Thanks for stopping by!
