Guylou's Inimitability - CAS with Kraft

Hi there!  It's super early AM and I hope I am still sleeping when this kicks off.  Please, Mr. Blogger, do as you are supposed to and post this on time for me!  I am here to share my DT card for the new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability.  Kim is our hostess this time and she is challenging us to make a clean and simple card using Kraft paper.

Here are the challenge details:

Challenge Deadline:
You have until 10:00 PM (EDT) on June 28th to link your project to the Inlinkz at the end of the challenge post.
How to participate:
You may enter only ONE project per challenge, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries.  If you don't have one of Guylou's digistamps, you can check the online store where several freebies are available.
Challenge Prizes:
A winner will be selected randomly and will win:
1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store
2. An invitation to be a Guest Designer on one of our upcoming challenges

Here is my CAS with Kraft card:

I started with a square card base of Kraft cardstock.  I added a center panel that was punched on both sides with a Fiskars border punch then layered with patterned paper from the Basic Grey What's Up 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched across both borders.  My fun image is Angela from Guylou's Inimitability.  You can find her in Guylou's on-line store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I sponged a few clouds in the background, then stitched around the image panel.

Here is a close-up of Angela:

The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A Kraft twill bow and a button from my stash finished off my card.

Be sure to visit Guylou's Inimitability blog and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will be inspired to play along with the challenge!

I'll be back later with my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.

  2. Carla, great coloring and design on this one! Love all the stitching, too! (Someday I may actually stitch a card, but it just seems like so much work to drag out my machine! LOL!)

  10. Well this is a modern lady - and I love the card stock and the pretty colors. Neat sentiment but if I was on that scooter, I would probably end up in the hospital!!
