Sketch Saturday #343

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  It's still very cold here, so it is going to be a day to stay in and get organized.  Before that, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Sketch Saturday challenge.  Our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp, who is offering the lucky winner a $25 GC to the Simon Says Stamp store.

Here is the sketch, designed by Debra:

Here is my card:

I kept my card very simple.  The patterned papers are from the Little Yellow Bicycle Just Because 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Nurse Nora from Art by Mi Ran.  I colored her with my Copics, then fussy cut her out and popped her up on the background.  I added a bit of Liquid Applique and glitter to the "love ointment".  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A striped ribbon bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Sketch Saturday blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the Saturday Girls and our January Guest Designer, Kerrie.  We hope you will play along!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Art by Mi Ran Challenge #23 (anything goes)

Have a great day and see you soon!

Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi there!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week and you have fun plans for the upcoming weekend!  It's pretty cold here, so my activities will likely be indoors!  Can't wait for it to warm up!  I am off to a late start today, but I am here with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  Our theme this week is "fairy tales /myths".  You can use any coloring medium you'd like, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Smoky Slate and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally 6x6 pad.  The cool fairy tale image is Fearless Fairy Tales Rapunzel from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Since the sketch I used was a bit busy, I didn't add any more embellishments.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from my teammies, Kathi, Penny and Laine!  We hope you will play along!  We have a wonderful sponsor for our January challenge!  Art by Mi Ran is offering the lucky winner 3 digis of their choice from the Art by Mi Ran Etsy shop.  Head over and check out Mi Ran's awesome digis!

Make it Crafty In Bloom Blog Hop

Hi again!  I am back as promised with a very special post!  Today, the Make it Crafty Design Team and some special guests are having a blog hop to share a new release of beautifully illustrated flower stamps from Make it Crafty! They are intricate and delicate, with lots of detail.  They are perfect for coloring and will be your new go-to sets for so many occasions!  These gorgeous flowers images are available in both digital and rubber.  Each rubber stamp version also comes with hand-written sentiments.  Of course, the sentiments all work well with any of the flowers!  Awesome, right?

The release of these beautiful flowers also coincides with the start of the January Make it Colourful Challenge.  The challenge this month is to achieve a watercolor effect.  You can do this by actually watercoloring or by getting the same effect using your markers.  As always, there are lots of resources and plenty of inspiration on the Make it Colourful blog.

Let's get on to the hop, shall we? You should have arrived here from Nicoletta's amazing blog.  If not, you'll definitely want to start back at Andrea's blog and hop from there so you don't miss a single, gorgeous creation!

Here is my project for the hop:

I have used the beautiful Birthday Daisies rubber stamp set.  I actually watercolored them using Distress Inks and an Aqua Brush.  It certainly was a challenge for me!  I am used to being able to blend and layer the colors with my Copics and this is a little trickier and requires more patience, for sure!  I stamped the sentiments that came with this set.  I kept the rest of the design of my card very simple so the flowers could take center stage.

Here is a close-up of the colored flowers:

Thanks for stopping by!  Your next stop on the hop is the amazingly-talented, Delphine!  Be sure to leave comments at every stop along the way as there are hidden prizes on some of the blogs.  Don't miss out on the chance to win one of these gorgeous stamp sets!

Here is the entire line-up in case you get lost:

Enjoy the hop and see you soon!

And here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Green Apple and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Plum Seed collection.  The sweet image is Pretty Molly from Art by Mi Ran.  I colored her with my Copics, of course.  I decided to keep it simple and not add any embellishments or even a sentiment.  I will add one later when I know to whom I'll be sending it.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:
