Red Guitar

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  I wanted to share a card I made for a couple challenges I enjoy doing when I have time.  I managed to finish this up after it sat on my desk for a couple of days.  I'll make it short and sweet!

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Paradise Beach 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Playing Guitar from Lili of the Valley. I stamped him on MiC Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I fussy cut the image and popped it up over a hexagon frame I cut with my Cameo.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few musical notes (from the Silhouette store) and a chevron-striped bow finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by again.  I was out most of the day, but I will be around to visit as soon as I can.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Lili of The Valley Monthly Challenge (name that tune; I used Red Guitar by Kris Allen)
Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 #6 (sketch)
A Creative Romance (get sentimental)
Cute Card Thursday #308 (clever cutting)

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday and Happy Valentine's Day!  Hope you've had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  The snow is gone and the sun is out, so already, we are in a better place than earlier in the week!  I'm off to a bit of a late start, but am here with my DT post for the Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  We have a photo inspiration challenge this week.  It's always fun to see the different interpretations of the same photo.  Just remember you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is the photo we used for inspiration:

Here is my card:

I went with a pretty clean style, at least for me.  I layered patterned papers from the Cosmo Cricket Tea For Two 6x6 pad onto the white base.  The image is Rosie by Art by MiRan.  She was offered as a freebie during her grand opening, but she is now available in the Art by MiRan Etsy shop.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some pretty lace and a few pearls from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from my teammies, Penny, Dawn and Linda!  We hope you will play along!  The February challenges are being sponsored by Sami Stamps.  Check out Samantha's adorable designs here.  One lucky winner will receive a $12 GC to the Sami Stamps shop.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches #236 (sketch and use lace and/or pearls)
Stampin' For The Weekend (flower power; I used flowers in my DP and image)
Art by MiRan February Facebook Challenge (make it girly)

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #79 - Happy Birthday

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  I know some of my friends and family are dealing with the latest winter storm.  Please stay safe, everyone.  This sure has been a difficult winter so far.  It's snowing here in AL as I type! Anyway, I am here with my Little Miss Muffet DT post.  We have a brand new challenge for you today! As you know by now, Little Miss Muffet is celebrating its third birthday all month long.  There are daily specials, prizes, challenges and something new every Thursday.  Be sure to check out the Little Miss Muffet blog, store and Facebook page for all the latest news and specials, including a Facebook freebie! Surprise, surprise - the theme for the new challenge is "happy birthday".  We want to see a birthday sentiment or a balloon on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned papers are from the Pebbles Sunny Day collection.  The adorable image is Celeste Amberglow Celebrate More from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Since the papers were rather busy, I didn't add any embellishments.

Woman With Roses

Good morning!  Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start!  I am back from my trip to the frigid Northeast.  It was really cold in MA, but at least I got in and out between their snow events, so I didn't encounter any travel issues.  Now they are predicting possible freezing rain for AL again! Enough already with the winter weather!  Anyway, I am here to share a card I made using another of the gorgeous images from Mitzi Sato-Wiuff of AuroraWings.  I am really enjoying coloring Mitzi's beautiful digis!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Garden Green and the patterned paper is a digital paper from Whimsy Stamps that was offered as a freebie in the Whimsy Stamps Magazine Vol. #7.  The gorgeous image is Profile of a Woman With Roses from AuroraWings Etsy shop. I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics  I didn't add a sentiment this time and I kept my embellishments to just a few pearls as I didn't want to take away from the image.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Sketch Saturday #296

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  As I mentioned in a previous post, I am away for the weekend with limited internet access, so I may be a bit scarce until tomorrow night.  I am hoping Mr. Blogger cooperates and publishes this on time!  I am here this morning with my DT post for Sketch Saturday #296.  This week, we are generously sponsored by Simon Says Stamp who is offering a $25 GC to their fantastic store!

Here is Jen's fantastic sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Citrus Squeeze collection.  The fun image is Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls Victoria and Juliette's Night Out.  It's stamped on MiC Blending Card and colored with my Copics.  I added Crystal and Fruit Punch Stickles to their outfits and shoes and Glossy Accents to their glasses.  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls Madison Has a Margarita.  A bit of chevron ribbon and a decorative clip finished my card.
