Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope your week has been great and you have fun plans for the weekend!  You already know what I am doing - trying to finish and mail my Christmas cards!  Yes, I am on a mission and if I have to stay up all night, they will be in the mail tomorrow.  At least I hope so!  Anyway, I am here now with my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  We have a color challenge for you this week, using a wonderful inspiration piece from Design Seeds.

Here is the color inspiration:

Here is my card:

My card base aand mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned papers are from the American Crafts Merry Mint 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Christmas Pud from Time For Tea Designs. Jo generously provided the DT with some holiday images to use for the challenges. I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some glitter to the trim on her hat and the tassels on her boots, Liquid Applique to the icing on the pudding and Glossy Accents to the berries.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few stars punched from glitter paper finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT.  We hope you will play along this week!  The December challenges are sponsored by Time For Tea Designs and one lucky participant in this month's challenges will win their choice of three digis from Jo's Time For Tea Etsy shop.  There are also lots of site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers were freebie digital papers from PaperCraft Inspiration awhile back.  I wish I hadn't covered up so many of the cute penguins!  The adorable image is Dexter Caroling from Pollycraft for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I colored him up with my Copics and added a bit of Stickles to the tassels on his hat.  The musical sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some 3-D Christmas lights, an ornament sticker and a pink bow finished my card.

Let it Snow

Hi there! Happy Tuesday (Wednesday in Brisbane)!  Hope your week got off to a great start and you're rolling toward the weekend!  Why does time seem to fly this time of year?  There never seems to be enough time to get everything done!  I've given myself until the end of the week to get my Christmas cards in the mail.  I hope I am successful.  Anyway, I am here with the promised mid-challenge inspiration post for Challenge #53 at Elphine House Australia.  For the last challenge of the year, we gave you a choice of two themes and the challenge runs until December 30th, so you still have time to join in!  The themes are "Autumn Leaves" or "Let it Snow".

For my first card, I did "Autumn leaves", so for this one I used  "let it snow" for my theme:

I created two shaped card bases using my Cameo and layered them to look like a snowflake.  The patterned papers are from the K & Co. Elizabeth Brownd Christmas Collection.  The darling image is Christmas Kiss from Elphine House Australia.  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added some glitter to the trim on their outfits and Liquid Pearls to the mistletoe.   I cut out the image panel with another cut file for my Cameo by Miss Kate Cuttables.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I added some Stickles to the snow on the letters.  I used two Memory Box Snowflake Corners between the base layers.  Some pretty lace, a tulle blow and a sparkly snowflake from Stampin' Up finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Elphine House blog and check out the wonderful inspiration from Lynda and Lynne!  We hope you will find time to play along before the end of December!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion Challenge #192 (let it snow)
Incy Wincy Challenge (let it snow)
Party Time Tuesdays #150 (Winter wonderland)

Take care and see you soon!

Christmas Eve Countdown

Hi again!  I'm back with a second quick post today to share a card for the current Make it Crafty challenges.  I made a card for Sketch Challenge #4 in the Facebook group and Challenge #4 over at Make it Colourful. The Make it Colourful Challenge has an easy and hard part, as usual.  The easy challenge is to color your image with mainly red and green.  The hard challenge is to add texture.  I combined the easy and hard challenges and also used the sketch.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Green Apple and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Festive 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Christmas Eve Countdown from Make it Crafty.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I tried to add texture to the trim on his suit, the snow and the sack.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I added Glossy Accents to his goggles and watch face and a bit of Liquid Pearls around the image for snow flakes.  A red and green striped bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11
Red: R32, R35, R37, R59, E19
Green: YG01, YG03, YG63, YG67
Gold: YR21, YR23

Sack: E41, E42, E43, E44

Guest Designer - Crafts-Too Challenge You

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a great start!  It was cold and rainy here all weekend, but at least we did not get any snow or ice, so I am grateful.  I am here today with some exciting news!  I recently came in Top 3 at Crafts-Too Challenge You and I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the December Challenge!  The main theme for Challenge #6  is "the natural world" and Twist 1 is: add a flower.  There is a little spotlight on my project over on the C2CU blog.  I am so honored!

Here is my project:

I went with a natural and vintage style for my card in keeping with the theme.  My card base and mats are GKD Fresh Asparagus and the patterned papers have lots of images from nature and holiday flowers.  They are from the K & Co. Elizabeth Brownd Christmas collection and the Recollections Botanica Noel paper pad.  The main image is a vintage Christmas Graphic called Pine Branch Frame from The Graphics Fairy. I stitched around all the panels and added sparkling Shabby White Fran-Tage here and there to look like snow. I added some vintage lace and some ivory seam binding that I distressed with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  A cluster of Wild Orchid Crafts Red Berries and a dimensional poinsettia sticker finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the vintage image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my inspiration for the new challenge at Crafts-Too Challenge You!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
