Sketch Saturday #291 and Some Exciting News!

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope you had a good week and your weekend is off to a great start!  I've got some exciting news to share today!  It's been hard keeping it quiet until now, that's for sure!  I was invited to be on the Sketch Saturday Design Team!  It took me less than a second to say YES when Deb asked me!  I love the Sketch Saturday sketches and I play along almost every week.  Today is my first post as part of the awesome team.  Also, for the new year, the Sketch Saturday blog has been re-vamped with a whole new look that you are sure to love!  With that, on to my first project.

It's Vannessa's DT week and here is her sketch:

And here is my take on it:

My card base and mats are SU Certainly Celery and the patterned papers are from the Prima Fairy Flora 6x6 pad.  I used a large paper doily for the bottom circle panel.  The beautiful image is Daisy Fairy, a digistamp by Joanne Schempp for Sweet Peas Stamps.  It is the stamp I chose when I won a contest on the Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans FB page a few weeks ago.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of purple glitter to her top for some sparkle.  The sky and clouds were also done with my Copics. I added Ice White Pearl Pen accents around the scalloped oval frame.  A pink satin bow and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a closeup of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Sketch Saturday blog and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you will play along using Vannessa's terrific sketch!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Pea Stampers (anything goes)
Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans Facebook Challenge (any Sweet Pea Stamps creation)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend and see you soon!

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope your new year is off to a great start!  Here we are at the end of the first week already!  My thoughts are with all of my many family and friends in the Northeast.  I hope everyone stays in and stays safe from the huge Winter storm.  What a way to start the year!  Anyway, I am here with my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is " something new".  This can be new beginning, new baby, new home, new crafty toys, anything new.  Just remember you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

I went with a new Mom theme for someone I know who just found out she is pregnant.  My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Girl 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Ice Cream & Pickles by Saturated Canary for Little Darling Rubber Stamps.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few safety pin brads from my stash finished my card.

Hug in an Envelope

Hi again! I'm back with a second post today.  It's my turn to post on The Digi Bells blog today.  I am so enjoying my GDT term with The Digi Bells!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Blue Bayou and the patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste "Presh" 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is "I Love You This Much" from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.   The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The beautiful mulberry roses were from the Sweet Stuff I won from Jacque's blog awhile back.  A few pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you are starting to settle into your new year routine after the holidays! I know I still have some organizing to do and a few "resolutions" to get started on, but so far, all is well.  I am here, as on every Thursday, with my Little Miss Muffet DT project.  After a couple of weeks of inspiration posts, we are back with a new challenge for you this week.  We have a sketch challenge this time.  I don't know about you, but I love sketches for jump-starting a card project.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned paper is from the We R Memory Keepers Winter Frost 6x6 pad.
