You Rock!

Hi there!  Did you have a good weekend?  It was busy here, but busy in a good way.  We made great progress on a few home improvement projects that needed doing.  Not a lot of time for crafting, but I managed to squeeze one card in.  I needed a masculine thank you card - not the easiest to create, but I had fun with this one!

I used Card Patterns Sketch #155 for my layout:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Oxford 6x6 pad.  My fun image is "Air Guitar" from Mo's Digital Pencil.  You can find it in Mo's store here.  I printed him on Cryogen White and colored him with Copics.  Both sentiments are from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I colored the guitar with Spica pens and added a button for some detail.  Some stitched ribbon and a few more buttons from my stash finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

And The Winner Is...

Good morning!  I hope everyone stayed safe from the terrible storms yesterday.  The tornado season is so active already this year.  I hope that is not a sign of what's to come.  Anyway, I'm popping in to announce the winner of the Heartfelt Creation Design Team Alumni Blog Hop.

The winner was randomly picked from comments left on my blog.

And the winner is... Donna Oates!  Here is what Donna had to say:

Donna Oates Feb 29, 2012 02:58 PM  The two colors, pink and white, in layers repeated throughout your design looks so elegant. I love the layers and how you layered them. Gorgeous card.

Congratulations, Donna!!  Please contact Emma Lou (emmalou@heartfeltcreations.us) to claim your $25 gift certificate.  Be sure to put "Winner of Alumni Blog Hop February 28" in the subject line.  Congrats again and thanks for joining in on the February hop!!

Here is my "men only" card:

I started with a card base of GKD Chocolate Brown and layered with SU Sage Shadow and patterned papers from the Authentique Gathering 6x6 pad.  My image is Introducing Oskar from Mo's Digital Pencil.  He can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed him on Cryogen White and colored him with Copics.  My fun sentiment is from the Over The Hill set from Create With TLC.  You can find it in Paulette's store here.  Some chocolate ribbon and a sage button from my stash finished off my guy card.

Guylou's Inimitability Challenge

Good morning!  It's super early for me!  In fact, I'm still sleeping as this post goes live!  I've got some exciting news and a card to share!  My card is for the new challenge on Guylou's Inimitability Blog - Things With Wings! I am excited because I was invited to be Guest Designer for this challenge, so I got to create alongside the rest of the fabulous GI DT!  How fun!

Here is some information from Guylou about the challenge:

Title: Things with Wings Challenge
Welcome to another challenge at Guylou's. This time our challenge is about things with wings.

Challenge Deadline:
You have until 10:00pm on March 15th to link your project to the InLinkz at the end of this post. Please make sure your project matches the requirements before you link it.

How to participate:
You can enter only ONE project per challenge, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries. If you don't have one of her digistamps and your budget is tight; please check her online store where several freebies are available.

Prizes:
A winner will be selected randomly and will win:
1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store
2. The winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on one of our upcoming challenges.

OK, so here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of SU Pool Party and layered with fun patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary (Mary, Mary) collection.  My cute Guylou's image is Starla.  She can be found in Guylou's store here.  The matching sentiment comes free with the image.  I printed Starla on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added lots of Stickles for some extra sparkle.  A double-loop bow and a tiny paper rose from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks, Guylou, for the opportunity to Guest Design for the challenge!  Be sure to visit Guylou's Inimitability blog and check out the fantastic creations from Guylou and her team!

My card is also for Aud Sentiments Challenge #49 which was to create a project with the words Happy Birthday in the sentiment.

Have a great day!

Mo's DP2 Challenge #124 - Anything Goes

Good morning!  I can't believe it's Thursday again already, but I do love my Thursdays because Thursday means it's time for another fun Mo's Challenge!  This week, the theme is "anything goes", but we have an option for you - to use a terrific sketch created by our own Iulia.  Use it or not, it's up to you - we're easy!  And we have some exciting news to share!  The super-talented, Tracy MacDonald, is joining our wonderful design team starting today!  Be sure to check out Tracy's amazing blog and give her a warm welcome!

OK, on to my card.  I decided to use Iulia's sketch for mine.  I took a few liberties, but kept the main elements of her design.  Here it is:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Innocent Pink and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Olivia 6x6 pad.  My fun Mo's image is Bossy.  She can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A double-loop striped ribbon bow finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Mo's Challenge blog and feast your eyes on the fabulous creations from my enormously talented teammies!  I am sure you will be inspired to run to your craft room, grab your favorite Mo's image and play along!  Who knows?  You may be the lucky winner of a GC to Mo's store!  You can't win if you don't enter!  Hope to see you join us!

Have a great day and see you soon!
