Joy To You

Hi there!  I'm back with second quick post today to share another Christmas card I made.  I am making good progress!!!  For this one, I was inspired by three challenges - CASE Study #69 (CASE the wonderful December Muse, Amy Sheffer), Tuesday Throwdown #77 (Celebrate The Season) and Flourishes Feminine Flair Challenge (to make a card with feminine touches like lace, pearls and ribbon).

Here is Amy's gorgeous inspiration card:

And here is my card for the challenges:

I needed a special Christmas card for an older woman I've kept in touch with for nearly 30 years now.  We always still exchange Christmas and birthday cards even though we haven't seen each other in person for many years.  I was inspired by all the white and layers and textures of Amy's card, with only the stamped image colored, so I kept that idea.  I changed the stamped images, the embellishments and I omitted a couple of layers.  For the Flourishes challenge, I used one of the floral images from the Petals & Peace set that I won last month.  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copics.   I hand cut the shaped image and popped it up on a Spellbinders Labels Four Large diecut.  This was popped up again on a panel that was embossed with the Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade folder.  The sentiment, also from Petals & Peace, was stamped with Versamark onto vellum and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. It was cut out with a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die.  Some lace, pearls and a May Arts silk ribbon bow finished my "feminine" card.

Thanks for stopping by again.  I appreciate you taking the time to do so!  Have a great evening and fantastic weekend!
