Christmas Roses

Hi there!  I can't believe it's Monday again!  Where did the weekend go?  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I'm still not feeling that well, so I'm taking it easy today, but I'm still trying to wrap up my Christmas cards in the next day or so.  I'm popping in quick to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do when I can.  First, it's for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #146 - use a ribbon, flower and tag on your creation.  It is also for the current Wild Orchid Challenge Week 38 (make an easel card) and Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #5 (use silver and/or gold).

Here is my card for the challenges:

Here is a close up of the inside when the easel is open all the way:

I started with an easel card base (5 1/2" x 11") of SU Cranberry Crisp and scored and folded at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4" on the long side.  I cut another 5 1/2" square of Cranberry Crisp for the card front.  I layered the card front and insides with GKD Good As Gold and patterned paper from the K & Co. Glad Tidings Die Cut Card pad.  For my tag, I stamped the beautiful image from Flourishes Petals and Peace set with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers.  I was lucky enough to have won these wonderful stamps during the November release festivities last month!  I don't have the matching Flourishes die so I just cut out narrow mats for  the tag with scissors.  (Note to self - get the die!!).  I popped up the tag with foam tape and added a triple-loop bow made from dyed seam binding from My Craft Spot and a vintage button from my stash.   I used two beautiful Cheery Lynn dies on my creation - the Fanciful Flourish die and the Border Carnivale die, both cut from Good As Gold.  I used the border on the inside as the easel stop.  Finally, I added white Wild Orchid Crafts roses in three sizes that I airbrushed with Copics.  A few pearls finished the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes Sentimental Christmas set with Versamark on the inside and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.  I think that's it - got everything covered!

Thanks for stopping by!  I really appreciate when you visit!  Off to rest some more so this bug doesn't get me down.  See you soon!

  11. Sorry to hear you got the "bug" Carla! I had it before T'giving and it was nasty. I totally lost my voice for 4 days - so it was quiet around here (LOL). Get lots of rest, drink some hot tea and take lots of vitamin C and feel better real soon.
Your card is a masterpiece! Beautiful!
