Hi there! It's me again! I didn't plan on being back today, but I managed to finish up a card I was working on for a few challenges, so I thought I'd pop by and post it. It's for Sketch Saturday #197, Saturated Canary Challenge #12 (doilies), Cheery Lynn Designs #18 (doilies) and this week's Our Creative Corner Challenge (making melody - inspired by a song).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Rich Razzleberry and layered with Lucky Limeade and patterned papers from the Basic Grey Green At Heart 6x6 pad. My super cute image is Ellie's Birthday from Saturated Canary. I got her from Krista's Etsy shop here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I added some glitter to her top and some Glossy Accents to the balloons after they were colored. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. The song, Happy Birthday, was my music inspiration for the OCC challenge. I used the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die to create the corner doily. I added some Rich Razzleberry ribbon tabs and some buttons from my stash. A few light pink gems finished off my card.

Spring Has Sprung

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! Are you having a good week so far? So far, so good on my end. I'm popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do. It is for The Paper Players #85 (spring has sprung), Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge (use corner embellishments, blue and green color combo, oval background and add some flowers) and the current Whoopsie Daisy Challenge (lace and pearls).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with pretty blue and green patterned paper from the Memory Box Minuet 6x6 pad. My sweet spring image is from Whoopsie Daisy Sheet 330. You can purchase the sheet from Linnie here. This is one of the two sheets I received for winning last week's challenge! Thank you, Linnie! I printed the image on Cryogen White and colored it with Copic markers then highlighted the flowers with some Stickles. I did a bit of sponging with Memento Summer Sky (clouds) and Pear Tart (grass). The image is layered on a lacy oval frame made with the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. I think Paulette generously shared it as a freebie recently. Thanks, Paulette! The corners were made with a Cuttlebug Vintage Corner die. I added some wide crocheted lace and a few white pearls. Three Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Hi there! Did you have a good weekend? It was busy here, but busy in a good way. We made great progress on a few home improvement projects that needed doing. Not a lot of time for crafting, but I managed to squeeze one card in. I needed a masculine thank you card - not the easiest to create, but I had fun with this one!

I used Card Patterns Sketch #155 for my layout:

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Oxford 6x6 pad. My fun image is "Air Guitar" from Mo's Digital Pencil. You can find it in Mo's store here. I printed him on Cryogen White and colored him with Copics. Both sentiments are from Paulette at Create With TLC. I colored the guitar with Spica pens and added a button for some detail. Some stitched ribbon and a few more buttons from my stash finished off my card.

Good morning! It's super early for me! In fact, I'm still sleeping as this post goes live! I've got some exciting news and a card to share! My card is for the new challenge on Guylou's Inimitability Blog - Things With Wings! I am excited because I was invited to be Guest Designer for this challenge, so I got to create alongside the rest of the fabulous GI DT! How fun!

I added lots of Stickles for some extra sparkle. A double-loop bow and a tiny paper rose from my stash finished my card.

I started with a card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Romantique 8x8 pad. I was thrilled to find papers in my stash with all the CTD colors in them! I machine stitched around all the panels. My Elisabeth Bell image is Belles 'n Whistles Happy Mail. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copics. I added some Stickles here and there for a little sparkle. The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs Spring Mix set. I layered it on an oval and then on one of the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio and added some ruby satin ribbon and a couple of pink gems. The flourish was cut with the Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish. Three tiny Wild Orchid Crafts roses (airbrushed to match with Copics) finished my card.

I printed the sweet pair of friends on Cryogen White and colored them with Copic markers. I highlighted some of the white areas with my Sharpie White Paint Pen. Goof morning! Happy Tuesday! It's the last Tuesday of the month and that means it's time for another Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog hop. Every month, a group of former Heartfelt Creations designers gets together to share projects made with some of our favorite Heartfelt Creations products. Here is my card for the hop:

I started with a card base of GKD Innocent Pink and layered with a Cheery Lynn Lattice #2 Frame diecut. My next layer is a Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval. On top of the that, I layered two Spellbinders Petite Ovals in Innocent Pink and Layering Weight White. The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3319 Simple Filler Stems set. I next added a Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish diecut. I created my flowers roughly following my former HC teammate, Glenda's, tutorial here. Briefly, I stamped three sets of flowers from HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 and HCPC 3407 Botanical Florals 2 with SU Pink Pirouette onto Innocent Pink CS and cut them out with Spellbinders Rose Creations Shapeabilities. I sponged them all lightly with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink. After burnishing and shaping the petals with a stylus, I assembled them with Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue and arranged them around the sentiment panel to finish my card.

Hi there! Yep, I'm back with a second post today! If you are looking for my DT project for the Copic/Promarker Challenge, please click here or scroll down one post. I am back to share the card I made for this week's Little Miss Muffet Challenge #29 - Fancy or Lacy. It is also for The Corrosive Challenge #143 (another dimension - pop something up).

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with an A6 card base of Papertrey Lavender Moon and layered with one of the fancy papers in the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5 x 6.5 pad. I love the shimmery gold on some of these papers! My image is Evelyn from Little Miss Muffet stamps. She was part of the new Paris Release and can be found here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I added some Stickles and Liquid Pearls to her dress, hat and jewelry. I also added some Gold Liquid Pearls around the Spellbinders Petite Oval Scalloped frame. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. It is part of the Retail Therapy set that can be found in Paulette's store here. It is framed with a Spellbinders Parisian Motifs die cut. Both the image panel and sentiment are popped up on foam tape. I added a lacy border created with the Cheery Lynn Francesca Border die. Some real lace and a gold satin bow finished off my card.

Good morning! Happy Friday! It's early for me and I haven't had my coffee yet, so bear with me as I try to make some sense here - lol! I may have to make some edits once I'm fully awake! I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. It's the last week of the month so it's "anything goes" with the option to create a calendar page using the template provided in the challenge thread. I'm well underway with my calendar for next year, so I went with that option again this month.

She is from The Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. The set can be found in Susana's store here. I was lucky enough to have won that set during the release blog hop. I stamped her on Cryogen White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copics. I added a bit of sparkle with Stickles. The image is framed with a Cheery Lynn Dutch Scallop Square Frame in Baja. It added a little extra lace to my design. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. I added a Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish in Certainly Celery and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. A bow created from eyelet lace and a few hearts punched from glitter paper finished my card.

Hi there! Happy Hump Day! Have you had a good week so far? Mine's been busy, but good. I'm popping in to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do. It's for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #142, Simon Says Stamp (use three different patterned papers), Digital Tuesday #148 (make it sparkle) and Copic Challenge #37 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site (lots of laughs and bright, fun colors).

I started with a card base of SU Melon Mambo and layered with three different brightly colored papers from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6x6 pad following the sketch. My fun image is Stella Love - Person To Annoy from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I printed Stella and Gus on Cryogen White and colored them with Copics. I added some sparkle to her dress, slippers and the little heart with Stickles. I also added some Glossy Accents to their glasses. The funny sentiment is from the same image set. I thought this would make a cute anniversary card! A few turquoise rhinestones finished off my card.

Hi there! Hope your week is off to a good start! I'm popping quickly to share the card I made for this week's challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog. The requirements this week were to make a get well card, use a green and white color scheme, include a basket and use some patterned paper. I happened to need a get well card, so this worked out perfectly for me. My card is also for Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Week 43 (white plus one other color).

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with patterned paper from the GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food 8x8 pack. I created the basket using Heartfelt Creations Decorative Layered Basket dies. I added a few Wild Orchid Crafts white wild roses and some leaves punched with a Martha Stewart Rose Leaf punch. The sentiment is from the SU set, Sincere Salutations. It is framed by a Spellbinders Fancy Tags diecut. That was it - I kept it very simple!

My image is Leah from Guylou's Inimitability. She can found in Guylou's store here. I printed her on Cryogen white and colored her with Copics. I wove some pink gingham ribbon through some lace trim and added a triple loop bow and a yellow pearl. My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. It was shared as a freebie for the challenge on the Aud Sentiments blog. I finished off my card with some Pink Liquid Pearl accents around the Spellbinders Scalloped Petite Oval frame.

Here is my card:

I was inspired by the play/movie, Romeo and Juliet. I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with some beautiful patterned paper from the Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue collection. I merged two images from Make it Crafty, Julliette and Victorian Chaise. You can find both in the Make it Crafty store here. I printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. I added a bit of sparkle to the flowers on her dress and in her hair with Spica pens. My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. I finished my card with a flourish made with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die and a few Wild Orchid Crafts roses airbrushed to match my paper with my Copic system.

I started with a card base of SU Pool Party and layered with patterned paper from the Prima Fairy Flora 6x6 pad. I love these papers and they have all the colors of spring in them! Perfect! I merged two Make it Crafty digi images - Sitting Jane and Katie's Love Swing. Sitting Jane can be found in the Make it Crafty store here. The swing image was one that was generously offered as part of the Help For Katie (Renz) fundraiser last year. I'm not sure if it is still available anywhere right now. I printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored with my Copics. I added a flourish created with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die. I kept it simple and only added a satin bow and a tiny pink rose to finish my card.

Good morning! Happy Thursday! You know I love Thursdays because it's Mo's Challenge day! This week, Debbie is our hostess and the theme she picked is "my sentiments exactly" - must use a Mo's image and any sentiment on your card.

Here is my DT card:

I started with a card base of SU Pool Party and layered with Poppy Parade and two patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party collection. My adorable Mo's image is For Teacher - Girl. She can be found in Mo's store here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copic markers. My sentiment is from Create With TLC. It can be found in Paulette's store here. A few buttons, and some Baker's twine from my stash, finished my card.

Hello, there! Hope you're having a great week so far! It's Hump Day and we're halfway to the weekend! I'm popping by to share a card I made for a few challenges I enjoy doing when I find the time. It is for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge #143 (pink, pearls, and lace), the current Our Creative Corner Challenge (card for best friend and include a flower), Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #15 (pretty in pink) and the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #41(monochromatic).

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Innocent Pink and layered with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5 x 6.5 pad keeping everything monochromatic in pinks. My cute image is Tilda With Hawaii Flower. She can be found in the 7 Kids store here. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent and colored her with Copics. The ornate frame was cut with the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die. I added a flourish cut with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die and some Wild Orchid Crafts roses. My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. It can be found in her store here. Some ivory lace and a few pink pearls from my stash finished my card.

Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge

Hi there! Happy Valentine's Day! I hope that your day is full of love whether or not you celebrate the holiday! I'm popping in to quickly share the card I made for this week's challenge on Joan's Gardens' blog. The theme/requirements this week were to make a spring card, use a blue and white color scheme, include a trellis of some sort and optionally, add a bird.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of SU Baja Breeze and layered with patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Welcome Home collection. I used a Martha Stewart punch for my trellis. I made the center medallion by punching a strip of white cardstock with the Martha Stewart Lace Doily Edger Punch. I punched the bird and branch from patterned paper with the SU Bird Punch. The flourishes were made with the Cheery Lynn Tropical Flourish die . A bunch of flowers (Wild Orchid Crafts, Kaisercraft, Prima) from my stash finshed my simple card.

Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge - Guest Designer

Happy Monday morning! It's a super early post for me (actually, I'm still sleeping - lol!), but I am so excited today to be sharing the card I made for the new monthly challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog! I was so thrilled to be invited to be Guest Designer for this months' challenge! Tracy picked the theme of "celebrations" - any kind of celebration you'd like.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I chose to celebrate the coming of spring, which is going to be very welcome here! Nikki generously provided me with this adorable Magnolia stamp to create my card. It is Tilda Loves Flowers from the new Sweet Crazy Love collection. You can find it in the Bunny Zoe's Crafts store here. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent cardstock and colored her with Copics. She's framed with a Cheery Lynn Italian Flourish Doily die. My beautiful patterned paper is from the Prima Alla-Prima pad. I added a Turquoise Prima Rose and two Kaisercraft Coconut Paper Blooms that I airbrushed with Copics to match my papers. A satin bow and button and a few rhinestones from my stash finished my card.

I thought both the image and the sentiment would work well for the "love bites" theme. Some stitched ribbon, a button and a bit of red Bakers' twine finished off my simple card.

Hi there! This is my second post today. I rarely do two posts in a day, but I finished a card I was working on and thought I'd get it posted before I head out for the afternoon. My card is for this week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday #140-47. This week's challenge is being sponsored by Tracey at The Stamping Boutique. The sentiment was a freebie from Paulette at Create With TLC. I created the heart in the corner using Dawn's terrific tutorial and a Spellbinders Heart die. A few roses and punched leaves finished my card.

Another Valentine's Day Card

Hi again! I didn't think I'd be back before tomorrow, but I was able to finish up another card for a couple of challenges, so I thought I'd pop in and load it up! This one is for the Just Us Girls Challenge #122 (sketch challenge) and the Our Creative Corner Challenge (love is in the air and a recipe: use pink, gray and Kraft, have sparkle and include a heart shape). It is also for the Tuesday Throwdown #84 (be my valentine).

I kept my card pretty simple to let the pretty papers and cute image be the focal point. I started with a card base of GKD Kraft and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Uncommon 6x6 pad. My sweet image is With Love from Mo Manning. You can find her in Mo's store here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her in the soft colors of the OCC challenge (pink, gray and Kraft). I added sparkle by glittering up the heart and the pieces of paper around her feet. The lacy border for the center panel was cut with the Cheery Lynn Francesca border. That is it - I think I covered all the bases!

I started with a card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with patterned papers from the K & Co. Kelly Panacci Valentine's pad. My adorable Elisabeth Bell image is A Pen Friend (Belles 'n Whistles). I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored her with Copic markers. I added some Red Stickles to the hearts on her outfit and her earrings. The pink gingham ribbon and button were from my stash. Three hearts punched from red glitter paper finished my creation.

Some checked ribbon and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished my card. Card For A Couple of Challenges

Good morning! Hope you're having a good day so far! It's chilly and rainy here today - a good day to be working on projects indoors. I'm popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do. First, it's for The Paper Players #80 which was a sketch challenge. It is also for the Digital Tuesday Challenge #145 (use a digi and the colors red, black and white). Finally, this is my entry to the current Make it Colourful Challenge #44 (shading reds).

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with a patterned paper from my scrap bag (sorry, no name on it anymore). My image is a digi from Make it Crafty called Elizabeth J. She can be found in the MiC store here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics (the reds: R39, R37, R35, R32; the red shading: E19, W5, W7). The sentiment is from Create With TLC. It was part of the February Club. I shaded the words with the same colors as the image. I punched a heart from red glitter paper and popped it up. Three glittery little heart gems finished my card.

Here is my card for the hop:

I started with a 7 x 9 in. card base of SU Elegant Eggplant and scored along the long side at 2 1/4 in. from each end to form a gatefold card. I followed Emma Lou's tutorial for the Artistic Gatefold Collection here to use the HCD 716 Layered Elegant Swirls dies to create the base diecuts and white shimmer paper overlay. I embossed the two narrow front panels with the Sizzix Corners & Damask embossing folder. I created a belly band from Elegant Eggplant by adhering two ornate borders created with a Spellbinders Parisian Accents die to a 1 1/4 in. strip of cardstock. I overlaid the band with some wide white crocheted lace. The vase image from HCPC 3395 Bella Rose Vase PreCut Set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. I cut it out and adhered it to the belly band on the front of the card. I finished the inside with some swirls from HCPC 3420 Holiday Dove PreCut Set and a sentiment from HCPC 3401 Bella Rose Scroll PreCut Set (not shown) and that was it.

Card For A Couple of Challenges

Hi there! Happy Sunday! Hope you've had a great weekend! I finally managed to get a little organized and to finish up a few cards I had in the works. I'm here to share one that I made for two challenges - Guylou's Inimitability Winter Wonderland Color Challenge (blue, gray and white) and the Copic Challenge #35 on Suzanne's Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site which was to color with "frosty" cold colors.

I started with a card base of SU Baja Breeze and layered with patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6 x 6 pad. My fun image is Serena on Skis from Guylou's Inimitability. You can find her in Guylou's store here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics (BG57, BG53, BG11, BG000, B91, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, E11, E00, E000). I added some white glitter to the trim on her hat, her ski suit, and the snow. The skiing sentiment is from Create With TLC. Paulette generously shared it as a freebie at the end of last year. I thought it would work perfectly with Serena! I colored it similarly to the main image. I punched a few snowflakes from white glitter paper and popped them up on pop-dots. A shimmery sheer white bow finished my card.

A Couple of Cards

Hi there! Hope you're having a good weekend so far! Things have finally calmed down a little and I was able to complete a couple of cards I was working on. I hope I'll gradually get caught up on all my cards and on visiting your blogs. I am getting there!

My first card is for Aud Sentiments Challenge #46 where the theme was "love". Paulette from Create With TLC generously offered a freebie love sentiment on the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog that we could use for our creation. It was so cute, I decided to use it for my card.

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Sunshine 6x6 pad. I used Paulette's freebie (If Love Were A Movie...) and also a couple of tickets from Create With TLC that Paulette shared as part of the February Club. The popcorn box is from DRS Designs. I did a little coloring with Copics and added a bit of Stickles to the salt on the popcorn. A stitched ribbon bow finished my card.

I created a second card for the Create With TLC DT using a sentiment from a new set called Women Equal Strength which can be found in the Create With TLC store. I thought it paired perfectly with this wonderful digi image from Robert Jackson called She's Fierce. It can be found on Robert's site here. I was very lucky to have won a couple of his fantastic images during my friend Chana's blog contest.

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with SU Pool Party and patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Chapter One 6.5 x 6.5 pad. I colored the image with Copic markers and added some Star Dust Stickles, Glossy Accents and adhesive pearls to her outfit and shoes for a little extra detail. A pearl and rhinestone flourish, a sheer ribbon bow and a Webster's Pages Sparkler with an added pearl finished my second card. I'm entering this in this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge, too. It was "anything goes" this time.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning! Happy Friday! My super-busy week is nearing an end and I am looking forward to things slowing down a little over the weekend so I can get back to my crafting and blogging. Sorry I've been MIA. I am popping in early today to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. It's the last week of the month so the theme is "anything goes - calendar page optional. Just like last month, you can pick up a free calendar template for next month. All the details and instructions for saving and printing the template can be found in the challenge thread here.

I decided to do a calendar page this month. I am going to go back and do January, too, but here is my calendar for February:

I printed the calendar on a half-sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. I thought this adorable Mo Manning image would be perfect for February. It is called Ragged Romeo and can be found in Mo's store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copic markers. The Cupid ticket is from Create With TLC. It was one of the goodies from the February Club. I put it all together and my page was done.

Good morning! It's Thursday again (really?) and time for another Mo's DP2 Challenge! I've got a lot going on this week and haven't had much time for crafting, but of course, I still have my DT card for this week's Mo's challenge to share. The theme is " your favorite things". You can use any of your favorite things to create your card - products, theme, images - anything!

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used some of my favorites - pastel colors, Webster's Pages papers, silk ribbon, flowers and of course, one of my favorite Mo's images! Good morning! Phew! It's been a busy week so far and it appears to be continuing! Sorry I haven't been blogging as much this week. I hope to catch up and visit everyone later in the week. Right now, I have a quick post to share another card I made with Melanie Muenchinger's gorgeous Stately Flowers 2 stamp set. I am finding so many uses for the beautiful florals and great sentiments in this set! This time I did a simple "missing you" card. I miss so many of my friends since I moved to Alabama!

Here is my card that Melanie posted on her blog:

I started with an A6 card base of GKD Pure Luxury Green Apple and layered with Bubblegum Pink and patterned paper from the Basic Grey Sweet Threads collection. I stamped the US map from Melanie's Make A State-ment set with Versamark and Memento Bamboo Leaves onto Cryogen White and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the top sentiment, also from Make A State-ment with Versamark and Angel Pink and embossed with clear EP. The Alabama on the bottom is from Stately Flowers 2. I added a little pearl heart over Alabama on the map. I stamped the small camellia from Stately Flowers 2 and colored it with Copics. It was cut out and popped up on foam tape. A satin bow and another pink pearl heart finished my simple card.

I Hope You Dance

Hello! Hope your week has started off well! Mine, not so much, although everything is fine now, thankfully. This morning, we were awakened by the screaming of the tornado sirens at 3:00 AM. Apparently, a couple of tornadoes did touch ground a little northeast of here and caused quite a lot of damage to property and sadly, the loss of a couple of lives. Fortunately for us, we only got the heavy rain, high winds and severe thunderstorms - no damage in my immediate area. Tens of thousands of people are still without power. Now it's warm and sunny and you wouldn't know anything had happened. It certainly was a scary start to the day.

Anyway, I'm popping in to share a couple of cards I made for the Create With TLC Design Team. Both have a dance theme. I created them with a combination of freebies that Paulette has shared on the Create With TLC blog and sets that are available in Paulette's store here.

Here is my first card:

The patterned paper is from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5 x 6.5 pad. The vintage dance collage and the sentiment are from Create With TLC. I added a little bit of color to the images with Copics and then sponged the panels with a bit of Old Paper Distress Ink. Some hand-dyed seam binding and a tiny Wild Orchid Crafts rose finished my card.

Here is the second one:

I started with a card base of SU Close to Cocoa and layered with Pale Plum and patterned papers from the GCD Studios Antiquities 8x8 pad. My image and sentiment are from Create With TLC, of course. I colored parts of the image with my Copics and sponged around the borders with Old Paper Distress Ink. The frame was cut with the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die. I added a few pale plum pearls to the frame and the sentiment. A double-loop satin bow and a Prima cameo button finished my card.

A Couple of Valentine's Day Cards

Hi there! Have you had a good weekend? We had some pretty yucky weather - severe storms, drizzle, fog - not so nice. At least there were no power failures or damage here. I know others weren't so lucky. Anyway, I'm popping in to share a couple of Valentine's Day cards I made. One was for the Just Us Girls Challenge #120 - a color challenge with pink, red and white. The other was for the Corrosive Challenge #141 (I {Heart} You - use at least one heart on your card).

I used a fun digi background paper that was a freebie from Create With TLC. The subway art and sentiment are also from Create With TLC. They were some of the goodies from the February Club. I colored the letters on the sentiment with Copics. A big pink satin bow and a few heart rhinestones finished my card.

Here is my card for the Corrosive Challenge:

This one was created with a bunch of the Valentine goodies from the February Club from Create With TLC. I printed all the images on Cryogen White. Some of the images already had a touch of red on them. For the ones that didn't, I added it with my Copics. Everything was distressed then sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink to give an aged look. I used a vintage red patterned paper but I'm not sure what it is as it was in my scrap bag. A sheer ribbon bow and faceted pearl heart finished my card.

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi there! Hope your Friday has been great and you are ready to start on a fun weekend! I'm popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges. First, it's for a little contest going on over at the Digi Bells Blog to celebrate the release of a brand new Elisabeth Bell digital image called "Click". You get to enter a card created with any Elisabeth Bell image (anything goes) to be entered to win the adorable new image. I jumped all over it! My card is also for this month's Belles 'n Whistles challenge which had a theme of "frosty winter". Lastly, I am entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp challenge, which was a sketch challenge.

I flipped the sketch to horizontal for my card. I started with a card base of SU Blue Bayou and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 pad. My cute EB image is from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection called Frosty The Snowman. You can find it here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics (E00, E000, E11, BG78, BG75, BG72, BG70, E37, E35, E33, E31, E27, E25, E23, W5, W3, W1). I added a bit of ice glitter to their hats. The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Warm Winter Wishes. The doily was cut with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die. I punched a few snowflakes with MS punches and added pearls to their centers. Some stitched ribbon and a few buttons from my stash finished my card.

Good morning! Can it possibly be Friday again? I am happy for the weekend, but I'm wondering where the whole week went! Anyway, I'm here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. This week's theme is "girls only". The theme is open to your own interpretation, but there should be a tie to a girl theme somewhere on your project.

I went with a girlfriend theme for my card. I started with a card base of SU Rich Razzleberry and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6x6 pad. My girlfriends image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. It's called There For You and it can be found in Mo's store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copics (E000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E50, YG00, YG93, YG95, BG000, BG10, BG11, BG13, RV63, RV66, RV69). It was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities. The sentiment is from Create With TLC. It was one of the freebies Paulette generously offered on her blog a bit ago. Mo's DP2 Challenge #118 - Stitching

Good morning! It's Thursday and time for another Mo's DP2 Challenge! We had so many fabulous entries for last week's clean & simple challenge! Let's keep 'em coming this week! We so love seeing your creations! This week, Pat is our hostess and the theme is "stitching - real or faux". You don't even need a sewing machine!

Here is my DT card for the challenge:

I started with a square card base of marbled cardstock from my stash and layered with a lighter marbled CS and patterned paper from the Webster's Pages Western Romance Petite Papers pack. I machine-stitched around all the borders. I stitched on some eyelet lace and velvet trim from Webster's Pages Romance and WonderFall Trim Cards. My sweet Mo's image is Ragged Romeo. It can be found in Mo's store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. It was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Scallop and Classic Circle Nestabilities. I added some Liquid Pearl accents to the scallops, then popped up the main image. The sentiment tickets are from Create With TLC. They were some of the goodies in the February Club. A few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

My card is also for a few other challenges: Sketch Saturday #190, Digital Tuesday #143 (romantic card) and Joan's Garden's Card Challenge (valentine in non-traditional colors with lace and roses and an optional key).

Another Stately Flowers Card

Hi there! Hope your week has been good so far! I'm scrambling a bit to make up for the holiday this week. Before I head out for the afternoon, I'm popping by to share another card I made with Melanie Muenchinger's gorgeous set, Stately Flowers 2. Melanie was sweet enough to post it on her blog today. This time I worked with the beautiful goldenrod image. Each of Melanie's floral sets have such gorgeous and realistic flower images and they pair beautifully with so many different sentiments!

Here is my card:

I made another CAS card to allow the beautiful flowers be the main focal point of the card. Again, I went to the internet for some inspiration photos to guide mu coloring. I started with a 5 x 7 card base of Gina K. Designs Heavy Base Weight White. I cut a piece of Layering Weight White and embossed it with one of the Sizzix Birds & Wreath embossing folders. I matted this panel with Pure Luxury Wild Dandelion and Grass Green. I stamped the goldenrod image from Stately Flowers 2 and the butterfly from Melanie's Make A State-ment set with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copic markers. It's hard to tell, but I highlighted the flower and butterfly with Spica pens. I popped up the butterfly and added a green silk bow. My sentiment is from one of Melanie's earlier sets, Arranged With Love (another fave of mine).

Timeless Tuesday #151 (and more)

Hi there! Happy Monday! I hope you've had a nice weekend! It was a 3-day holiday weekend here in the US, so it was kind of a busy one for me. I didn't have much time in the craft room, but I did manage to finish a card I was making for two challenges I like to do: Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #151 (photo inspiration) and The Paper Players #78 (color challenge).

Lucky for me, the colors were very similar for both, so I went with the colors as my inspiration from the Timeless Tuesday photo. I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White which I cut with my Spellbinders Labels One Grand Nestabilities in the Grand Calibur. I cut a smaller panel of Cryogen White Iridescent with the largest of the regular Labels One Nesties. I cut a third panel first with the Cheery Lynn FRM15 Lattice #2 die then the same Spellbinders Labels One die so I could layer the lattice over the Labels One diecut. I stamped the crocus from Flourishes A Year in Flowers 1 set twice with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored both flowers with Copics (YG25, YG23, YG21, G21, G20, R14, R22, R20, R00). I cut out the whole image from one and just the flowers from the other. The flowers were popped up on foam tape over the base image to add dimension. I cut a flourish from SU Pear Pizzazz with the Cheery Lynn Tropical Flourish die and layered it on the lattice. The crocus image was popped up on the flourish. A soft pink May Arts silk bow finished my card.

Calendar Girls Hop With Create With TLC

I went with a vintage style. My patterned paper is from the GCD Studios Antiquities collection by Donna Salazar. I added a doily cut with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die. The doily and calendar were rubbed with Viva Decor Old Gold Inka-Gold. A quadruple-loop plum silk bow, a Prima antique rose and a few plum adhesive pearls finished this card.

My second month was December:

I kept a similar style for this one as I plan to make a whole year calendar as a gift. The patterned paper is again from the Antiquities collection. I added a doily cut from Cheery Lynn's Polynesian Sails Oval die and added a few pewter adhesive pearls to it. For this card, I also used some other word art from Create With TLC. These were offered as freebies by Paulette at the end of last year. I did some sponging with Antique Linen and Tattered Rose Distress Ink. I rubbed the clock with some Viva Decor Hematite Inka-Gold, then added some Glossy Accents to the clock face, some Gunmetal Stickles to the clock hands and another small pewter pearl. A triple loop bow of hand dyed seam binding and a Prima vintage button finished my card.

I stamped the Hawthorn image from Melanie's new set, Stately Flowers 2 onto Cryogen White and colored it with Copics. I matted it with Innocent Pink cut with the Spellbinders Lacey Squares die. The sentiment is also from Stately Flowers 2. It is matted with a tag from Spellbinders Parisian Accents. I added a flourish cut from Fresh Asparagus with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die. I tucked it around the image panel then added a double-loop satin bow with a Prima button in the center. A few adhesive rhinestones finished my card.

I'm back with another quick post because I am going to be busy the rest of the day and I knew I wouldn't get another chance to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do when I can. My card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #136-73, Craft Your Passion Challenge #92 (mythical creatures) and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (spots &/or stripes).

I started with a card base of Papertrey Spring Moss and layered with patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden 6x6 pad. The papers had both spots and stripes. My wonderful image is called Silver Fairy. She is one of the Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. She can be found as a digi here. I printed her on Cryogen White Iridescent and colored her with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the photo, but I added a bit of sparkle here and there with Stickles and Spica pens. I kept my embellishments very simple so the image would be the focal point. I just added some Spring Moss ribbon and two Wild Orchid Crafts roses and that was it.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning! Happy Friday! I sure am looking forward to the long weekend! Our temps have taken a nose dive here, so it's going to be a chilly one. That's OK, though. I've got lots to do inside. Right now, I'm here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. We have a color challenge this week - blue, aqua, turquoise and sand - with an optional theme of seaside/coastal. I know I'm dreaming of a warm, sunny beach somewhere right about now - lol!

Here is my card:

I tried to incorporate all the colors and the theme, too. I started with a card base of SU Blue Bayou and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Paradise collection. I merged a few Mo Manning images from Beach Elements 1 and Little Umbrella. You can find them both in Mo's store here. I printed the merged image on Cryogen White Iridescent and colored all but the sky with Copics markers. I sponged the cloudy sky with Memento Summer Sky. I added some Stickles to the waves, her sandals and her drink. I added Glossy Accents to the water bottles near her beach bag and her glasses. A bit of wide lace, that looked a little like fish netting to me, finished my card.

Mo's DP2 Challenge #117 - Clean & Simple

Good morning! It's Thursday and time for another Mo's Challenge! We've got a really fun one for you this week! The theme is "clean & simple". Not a style I use that often, but that's what makes it a challenge, yes?

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White cardstock. I embossed a layer of GKD Layering Weight White with the SU Tulip Frame embossing folder and added it to the card base. My Mo's image is called Married. It can be found in Mo's new store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics. I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to her dress, veil and shoes then matted the image with some iridescent blue cardstock from my stash. A triple-loop bow of satin-rimmed white organza and a Webster's Pages Sparkler finished my CAS card.

My card is also for this week's Paper Player's Challenge #77, where the theme was - "all you need is love".

Retro Birthday

Good morning! We are to the middle of the week already! So far it's been pretty busy! It's been raining cats and dogs here most of the time since Sunday. We had some thunderstorms and even a little hail last night! Luckily I have lots to do indoors today. Before I get to it, I'm here to share a project I did that fits a couple of challenges I like to do. First it is for Copic Challenge #34 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site. The theme this time is "retro" and we are to use hot pinks, black and white for our coloring. It is also for the second challenge at the new Crafter's Cafe Challenge blog (happy birthday theme).

I altered a gift bag for a friend's upcoming birthday. The bag had the challenge colors already. How good was that? My retro image is a digi called Monique from Guylou's Inimitability. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I added a bit of Gunmetal Stickles to the lace on her dress and her shoes. She was cut out with Spellbinders Classic Circles and matted with GKD Passionate Pink CS cut with Spellbinders Scallop Circle Nesties. The circle sentiment is from Create With TLC. It is from the Life Encircled set which is new in the Create With TLC store here. I colored the cake with Copics and added some more Stickles to make it sparkly. The "Happy" on the image panel is from the SU set, Warmest Regards.

Hello! Have you had a good weekend? It was relatively quiet here and I even managed to get in a little crafting time. I made a card for a few challenges I like to do. I combined them this time because I wasn't sure I'd get to them all otherwise and I hated to miss out. My card is for the January Sketch For You To Try on Jen Del Muro's blog, Elisabeth Bell's World December/January Challenge (Tic Tac Toe), 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #38 (try something new), Basic Grey Challenge #60 (something new) and the Corrosive Challenge #140 (use something brand new). There were a lot of similar themes so it was easy to put them together.

I started with a 5 x 7 card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with Almost Amethyst and patterned paper from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad. My main "something new" (and still unused) item was my new Elisabeth Bell Belles 'n Whistles stamp, Patches 'n Braids. It can be found in the 7 Kids store here. I stamped her on Cryogen White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic markers. I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some sparkle. The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Petite Ovals Nestabilities. For the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge, I chose Column A of the tic tac toe - flowers, lace and pearls. I added some new flowers with pearls that I picked up in the $1 bin at Michael's yesterday. A bit of crocheted lace and some adhesive pearls finished my card. Phew! I think I covered everything!

Invisible Crown

Hi there! Yes, it's me again! I'm back with a super quick post to share the card I made for the current Aud Sentiments Challenge #45 which was to use any sentiment and to use scraps on your card. Paulette from Create With TLC generously provided a great sentiment as a freebie on the challenge blog that could be used for the challenge, if desired. As soon as I saw the sentiment, I knew exactly what image I wanted to use with it!

Here is my card for the challenge:

Except for the card base, all of my cardstock (GKD Bubblegum Pink and SU Certainly Celery) and patterned paper (K & Co. Madeline) came from my scrap bag. I even had the image printed out and in my "to be colored someday" pile. I thought this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil worked perfectly with Paulette's sentiment. She is called Diva and she can be found in Mo's store here. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I added some Polar White Flower Soft to her feather boa and some Stickles and Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen accents to her jewelry and shoes. I picked up the sentiment from the Aud Sentiments challenge, but it is also available as part of a word art set in the Create With TLC store here. OK, that's it for me today!

Another Stately Flowers Card

Good morning! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Before I head out, I'm popping in quickly to share another card I made with Melanie Muenchinger's gorgeous new stamp set, Stately Flowers 2. As soon as I saw it, I knew I would use this set for so many different types of cards! The beautiful florals and versatile sentiments are perfect together!

Here is my card:

This time I went with a more subdued color palette since I was making a sympathy card. I started with a card base of SU Ruby Red and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Rosy 6x6 pad. I stamped the small camellia from Stately Flowers 2 twice on Cryogen White and colored them with Copics. I added some Gold Liquid Pearls dots to the flower centers. They were cut out and popped up on foam tape. I added a doily made with the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die. Everything was sponged with a little Antique Linen Distress Ink. A few adhesive pearls finished off my card.

I used the Mojo Monday 222 sketch for my layout and the colors from the Colour Create Challenge #87 (red, sage green and cream).

I'm here bright and early to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. This week, the theme is "monochromatic/vintage coloring". My card is also for this week's Craft Your Passion Challenge #91 (anything goes + distressing) and Challenge #17 at Through The Craftroom Door Challenge Blog (monochromatic).

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Blue Bayou and layered with monotone papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Portobello 6x6 pad. I saw a similar sketch somewhere, but I can't remember where I saw it. If you recognize it, let me know and I'll link it. My sweet image is Jack & Ginger from Mo's Digital Pencil. You can find it in Mo's store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored in monochromatic colors with my Copics. I did a bunch of distressing around all the panels. I cut out the banner from the patterned paper and added it to the top of the card. A bit of crocheted lace trim finished my vintage card.

Hi there! I'm back with another quick post today to share my first DT card for Create With TLC. My card is also for this week's challenge at The Play Date Cafe #113 (juniper, mint and vanilla) and the first challenge at the brand new The Crafter's Cafe Challenge (new year/new beginnings).

My interpretation of "new year/new beginnings" for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge is that this is my first card for a new design team in a new year. I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered with Sage Shadow and patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Portobello 6x6 pad. My image is a digi from the new Words To Live By Set by Create With TLC. It can be found in Paulette's store here. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with it with Copic markers. I sponged around the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink to age it a little. The image is matted with a Spellbinders Lacey Squares diecut. I added lots of ivory pearls and a triple-loop bow of dyed seam binding to finish my card.

Good morning! It's Thursday and you now that means it's time for this week's Mo's DP2 Challenge! Some sheer ribbon and a Wild Orchid Crafts rose finished my card.

Stately Flowers

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! I'm off to an early start and hope to get a lot done today! Before getting to it, I have something fun to share this morning! I was so thrilled and honored last week when the super-talented Melanie Muenchinger asked me if I'd like to make a few samples to showcase her latest Gina K. Designs stamp set, Stately Flowers 2. If you been following the last couple of GKD releases, you know that Melanie has illustrated the first two sets in her Stately Flowers series. Each month, she will release a new set with a different collection of state flowers and corresponding sentiments until all the states are done! What a brilliant idea! In addition, Melanie has a companion set called Make A State-ment that has lots of great sentiments that work perfectly with the state flower images! These sets will be perfect for your card-making and scrapbooking projects! Anyway, this month's set has the state flower for Alabama, where I recently moved. I know I'm going to get a ton of use out of this set!

I started with a card base of GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White and layered with Pure Luxury Lipstick Red. I embossed and die cut a panel of Layering Weight White with the Marianne Designs DS0912 folder and layered that so the red cardstock showed through the holes. Camellia is the state flower of Alabama and I used some photos from the internet to guide my coloring. I stamped two each of the small and large camellias from Stately Flowers 2 and colored them with Copic markers. I added a bit of yellow Stickles to the flower centers. I cut them all out and popped them up on different levels to add some dimension. The top sentiment is from Make A State-ment and the bottom one is from Stately Flowers 2. I matted them with Lipstick Red and popped them up to finish my card.

Hi there! Hope your first week of the new year is off to a great start! I'm still trying to get caught with everything that went by the wayside during the holidays! But it's all good - I'll get there! I'm popping in quickly to share the card I made for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #25 - Anything Goes. Barbara generously offered a new release digi as a freebie last week and I couldn't wait to use the adorable image on a card! The new image is called Saffron. She is part of the LMM Sugar 'n Spice Dolls collection.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of SU Baja Breeze and layered with patterned paper from the K & Co. Visions of Christmas 12x12 pad. I tried to pick a paper that didn't look too Christmassy. I printed Saffron on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I added some Glitter Snow to her hat brim, muff and pompoms then popped her up on foam tape in the scene. The sentiment is from one of the SU All Year Cheer sets. I punched a bunch of snowflakes with the MS Aspen Snowflake Punch Around the Page punches and added glitter to them also. I added the snowflakes around the background and that was it!

Hi there! Happy New Year's Eve! I didn't think I'd be back before the year closed out, but I have a quick post to share a card I made for two challenges, one that was finishing tonight. My card is for the Inspired By...Challenge on The Crafter's Cafe site. It was one of the challenges that was part of their Holiday Open House this past week. This challenge was to make a card or project inspired by one created by something/someone else and also share the project that inspired yours. Fun!! My card is also for this week's challenge on the Our Creative Corner blog which was to make a celebration card in these bright colors:

These aren't colors I usually work with, but they were perfect for the card I had in mind for the Inspired By...Challenge.

Of course, I can't come close to Zoe's amazing coloring, but I hope I didn't embarass myself too much! I started with Melon Mambo CS and layered with a bunch of patterned papers from the Webster's Pages Botanical Christmas/Fairy Tales Petite Papers pack. I also used festive trims from some of my Webster's Pages Trim Cards. Lizzie was printed on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. I added some Stickles here and there for a little sparkle and that was it.

Flourishes Christmas Spirit Challenge

Hi there! Happy Friday and night before New Year's Eve! I know you can't even believe the title of my post! How many times have I said "no more Christmas cards"?? And this isn't even one I need for this year! I've had this card in the works on my desk since early December and for some reason never made it happen before today. It is for this month's Christmas Spirit Challenge (FLLCNOEL20) on Flourishes blog. The theme was to make something Santa-related.

Here is my Santa card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of GKD Fresh Asparagus and layered with Cranberry Tart and patterned paper from the Webster's Pages Waiting For Santa/Sweet Season Petite Papers pack. The diecuts were made with Cheery Lynn Border Carnivale and French Pastry Doily dies. I stamped the Santa snow globe from flourishes Joy Is In The Air set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White and colored with Copics. I added Ice Glitter and Stickles and Glossy Accents for some added sparkle. The sentiment is from Flourishes Sentimental Christmas set. A triple-loop bow of wrinkled ribbon finished my card.

My Favorite Mo's Project of 2011 and Exciting News!

Good morning! Hope you've had a good week so far! We've been so busy this week and I haven't had much time for crafting or blogging. I'm looking forward to getting back to a regular routine after New Year's. This morning, I am popping in quickly to share my card for this week's Mo's DP2 Challenge #115 and also to share some SUPER EXCITING NEWS! First the news - I have been invited to join Mo's Challenge DT starting in January!!! I can't begin to tell you how thrilled and honored I am to join this amazingly-talented team! You know how much I love Mo's images and I absolutely can't wait to share my projects starting with next week's challenge!

On to my card for this week. This is the last challenge for 2011 and it is to share our favorite project of 2011 that we made with Mo's images. It was a really hard choice! I went back and checked and I had 73 blog posts this year where my project was made using Mo's wonderful images.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning! Happy Friday! Only two days left - hope you are all ready! I have a bunch of things to do today so I am popping in quickly to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. The theme this week is "food". Very appropriate, I'd say, since all I seem to be doing is eating right now! I used Sketch Saturday #186 for my layout and I included one of my favorite challenges - Mo's DP2 Challenge #112 in the mix! The theme at Mo's this week was to use "punches and/or dies".

I started with a card base of GKD Black Onyx and layered with patterned papers from the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 6x6 pad. I merged two fabulous Mo Manning images - Perfection and Vintage Stove. They can be found in Mo's store here. I printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. I added some Glossy Accents to the clock face and salt & pepper shakers, some Stickles to her apron and earrings and some Liquid Applique to the souffle. The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Wreath of Wishes set. I used Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Circle Nestabilities dies to cut and mat my image and sentiment. I created three borders with edger punches - Martha Stewart Modern Garland and Combo Deco Shells and EK Success Morocco Lace. A few buttons from my stash finished my card.

Can It Be? Another Christmas Card!

Hi there! I know, I know - lol! I was sure I was done, then I remembered another card I needed to take with a gift to an appointment this weekend, so I ran into my craft room and made yet another. I called upon a couple of challenges I didn't get to yet for my design. First, it is for the Monthly Contest over at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog (winter or holiday). It is also for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge #115 (a color challenge) and this week's challenge in The Play Date Cafe #112. It was perfect because the JUGS challenge and the PDCC challenge were to use nearly the same colors.

I started with a card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned paper from the K & Co. Glad Tidings Die Cut Mat pad. The colors were perfect! My image is a digi from The Stamping Boutique called Sledding Snowman. I won this image during a blog hop a couple of months ago. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. I added Glossy Accents to the Christmas lights around the border and some Stickles here and there for some sparkle. The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC. It was a freebie awhile back - not sure if it's in the store now. I also colored it with Copics and added some Ice Glitter to the snowman's cap and some Stickles to the snowflakes. I didn't add any extra embellishments - I thought there was enough going on with the cute images and the DP.

Hello, again. I sure didn't think I'd be back with another post today, but I wanted to share a card I made for a couple of challenges and I needed to get it posted before tomorrow. My card is for the November/December Challenge on Elisabeth Bell's World, which was a sketch challenge. It is also for this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Let's Play BINGO. I chose Row A: Ribbon/Twine, Gems, Glitter/Sparkle. I also added a flower (from C2).

I started with a card base of SU Rose Red and used patterned papers from the Prima Madeline 6x6 pad. I added a doily cut from Rose Red with the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die. To the middle panel, I added borders cut from Cryogen White with the Cheery Lynn Carnivale Border die. My beautiful image is Fancy. She is from The Ends Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. I was so lucky to have won that set during the release last month! I stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics. I added a few Stickles and some gems for some sparkle. The sentiment tickets are from Papertrey's Just The Ticket set. This set was a sweet gift from Lisa Kind. Thanks, Lisa! A triple loop satin bow and a Wild Orchid Crafts rose finished my card.

BookEndz Challenge

Hi there! Happy Wednesday! Only 4 days left, can you believe it? I thought I was all done with gifts, but I just learned of a shipping snafu that means a gift I thought I had all taken care of is no longer going to arrive on time, so I will have to run out today, in the pouring rain, and pick up a replacement. Otherwise, I'm happy to be pretty much ready for the weekend. Before I head out, I'm popping in to share a card I made for the BookEndz Challenge on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative site. If you haven't heard of this before, BookEndz is a fun cyber book and craft group. You can check out all the details here. Each month, the group reads and discusses new books. There is also a challenge where you can create a project inspired by the current book selection. This month's main book is An Invisible Thread by Laura Schroff & Alex Tresniowski. It's a true story about an unlikely meeting of a young panhandler and a busy sales executive on a New York City street and the bond they form that changes both of their lives forever.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I focused on the friendship between the woman and the young boy. I know that Laura Schroff was not as old as the woman in my image, but I was inspired by the two of them just spending time together doing simple things like baking, etc. I merged two Mo Manning images - Mummu's Nissu and For Teacher 2. I printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Rosy 6x6 pad. A gingham bow and button and a few adhesive pearls finished my card.

One Last Christmas Card

Hi there! Hope your week is off to a great start! It's been busy here so far, but I relieved to have all my mailing done. I thought I was completely done with Christmas cards, but I thought of one more I needed so I called on a few challenges I like to do to give me the inspiration to get it done. My card is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge (a sketch), Basic Grey Challenges #59 (anything goes) and the Craft Your Passion Holiday Havoc Blog Hop Challenge (create a holiday project with at least one digital stamp).

I started with a 5 1/2" sqaure card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Jovial 6x6 pad. I added some velvet trims from various of the Webster's Pages Trim Cards. My adorable image is a digi from The Paper Shelter called Cookies For Santa. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics. I added a bunch of Stickles to the decorations on the tree and some Glossy Accents to the glass of milk and the tree pot. The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Petite Oval Nestabilities. A couple of Basic Grey buttons from my stash and 3 Jolee's shimmery poinsettia stickers finished my card.

Color Me Creative Copic Challenge - Golds, Cream and White

Good morning! Hope you've had a nice weekend! I have a few gifts to finish up and get in the mail tomorrow, but otherwise, except for cooking, I'm pretty near done with my Christmas preparations. Never thought I was going to be able to say that! Before I get back to it, I am here to share another card I made for the Copic Challenge #33 going on now at Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site. The challenge is to color with only golds, cream and white. Because this is a very special challenge for a very special cause, we could enter two projects. I used the colors to create another Christmas card. I started with a card base of GKD Good As Gold and layered with shiny gold patterned paper from the Kaisercraft December 25th pad. My gorgeous image is from Mo Manning called In The Manger. You can find it in Mo's store here. I love the precious face on the angel - just so beautiful! I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with the following Copics:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E97, Y11, Y21
Manger: E44, E43, E442, E41, E40, Y28
Straw: YR24, YR23, YR21, YR20, Y28
Wings: YR30
Blanket E53, E51, E50

I matted the image on a circle cut from gold mirror cardstock with a Spellbinders Lacey Circles die. The sentiment is from Flourishes The First Noel set. It is stamped with Versamark and embossed with gold detail embossing powder. It is also matted with gold mirror CS. I didn't add any other embellishments because I wanted the image and sentiment to take center stage.

Card Patterns #146

Hi there! Happy Saturday! I don't know about you, but I am still scrambling around trying to get everything done before next week! DH and I have already been out for 3 hours today! But I am back now to share my DT card for Card Patterns Sketch #146. This post is bittersweet as it is my last week as part of the Card Patterns DT. It has been a wonderful 6 months and I will miss my teammates a lot! I will still be playing along every week, that's for sure! The Card Patterns team is taking a couple weeks off, so this is the last sketch for 2011. The challenges will be back up and running in January.

I started with a card base of SU Pale Plum and layered with Very Vanilla and patterned papers from the SU Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper collection generously provided to the DT by Catherine. My image is from a very old SU set called See With The Heart. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Very Vanilla and colored very lightly with my Copics. I sponged here and there with Antique Linen Distress Ink. It was cut out with a Spellbinders Classic Circles die and matted with a Spellbinders Lacey Circles die. The sentiment is also from a very old SU set called Happy Birthday Frame. It was cut out and matted with Spellbinders Tags Shape 3. I triple-loop bow of narrow silk ribbon and a small shimmery flower from my stash finished my card.

I'm also submitting my card to Tuesday Throwdown #78 where the theme was "for someone special".

Flourishes Noon Challenge - Perfect Pear

Hi there! Hope you've had a great day and you're looking forward to the weekend! Can't believe it is the week before Christmas! Yikes! I am popping in really quickly to share the card I made for the Flourishes Release Week Noon Challenge - Perfect Pear - which was a color challenge.

These colors were perfect for one more Christmas card. I used some pretty patterned paper from the K & Co. Glad Tidings pad that had the three colors in it. I added an embossed panel of Cryogen White done with the Cuttlebug Mary Ann folder. I stamped the kissing ball image from Flourishes Meet Me Under The Mistletoe set with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers. I colored a second ball to pop up on the first one. The sentiment is from Flourishes Sentimental Christmas set. It is cut out and layered with Spellbinders Grommet Tags. A few adhesive pearls on the ball, the tag and the ribbon finished my card.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz (and more)

Good morning! I can say, without hesitation, that I am really glad it's Friday! It's been such a busy week and with both DH and I fighting the cold bug, it hasn't been fun around here! That said, at least I am feeling better and by the end of the day, all of my holiday mailing will be done - I guarantee it! That is going to make me one happy camper! Anyway, as promised, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site. This week's challenge is "celebration", however you want to interpret it. I am entering my card into a couple of other challenges I like to do because they worked perfectly with this theme - the Corrosive Challenge #139 (anything but Christmas), CASE Study # 70 (CASE the fabulous December Muse, Amy Sheffer) and my fave challenge each week, Mo's DP2 Challenge #111 (add fabric). It's a lot, I know, but I didn't want to miss out on the fun challenges this week.

I was inspired by the colors, general layout and placement of the embellishments on Amy's card. I started with a card base of GKD Smoky Slate and layered with patterned paper from the Authentique Journey 6x6 pad. My celebration image is called Kisses For My Sweet from Mo's Digital Pencil. You can find it in Mo's store here. I thought it would be perfect for a Happy New Year or Happy Anniversary card. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. I added some Glossy Accents to his shoes to look like patent leather and some Silver Stickles to her tie and shoes for some sparkle. For the fabric element, I created a fabric flower by twisting and glueing a strip of frayed textured fabric from my stash. I spritzed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist and added a rhinestone to the flower center. I cut out and matted the image with Spellbinders Petite Ovals and added adhesive rhinestones to the scalloped mat. A couple of rhinestone flourishes finished my creation.

Flourishes Noon Challenge #1

Hello, again! OK, all but a couple of cards are in the mail (the line was so long at the P.O. I'll have to go back tomorrow for the rest), so I am rewarding myself with another quick post to share the card I made for yesterday's Noon Challenge - Night & Day - on the Flourishes blog. The challenge was to showcase a day or night scene on your card or project.

Here is the card I made for the challenge:

I chose to showcase a night scene using the beautiful stamp set, The First Noel, that I won last month. I have used it for so many of my cards this year! I created another CAS Christmas card this time. The image and sentiment were stamped onto a card base of GKD Heavy Weight White with Versamark and heat embossed with a shimmery dark blue embossing powder from my stash. The only embellishments were a few rhinestones placed on each star in the night sky.

Good morning (I sure hope it's still morning)! I SO shouldn't be near the computer as I have so much still left to do for the holidays, but I wanted to pop in really quickly to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do. I have really used the challenges this week to give me the mojo to finish my last minute cards! As soon as I finish this post, I am off to the post office and get these puppies in the mail! My card is for Gingerloft Challenge 30 (Christmas and winter), Digital Tuesday #141 (winter wonderland), Joan's Gardens' Weekly Challenge (make a quick Christmas card - anything goes) and finally for The Play Date Cafe #111 (black and white with a splash of teal).

I made a super quick CAS Christmas card. I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Weight White. My gorgeous image is from Gingerloft called Winter Trees. I printed it on Cryogen White and lightly shaded the main tree with a touch of teal using Copics. I added a bunch of Star Dust Stickles to the snow to further accent the splash of teal. I matted the image with SU Bermuda Bay and silver mirror cardstock then popped it up on foam tape. The sentiment is from Flourishes The First Noel set. That is it - another for my stash.

Good morning! Hope your day is off to a great start! I feel a bit better today, so I am hoping to get a lot accomplished. My tree is up and decorated and now all I have to do is get my cards and gifts in the mail and I can relax a bit. Before I get back to it, I am popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges (and for some good friends for Christmas). First, it is for the current Copic Coloring Challenge on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site, which is make a card or project that is colored only in golds, cream and whites. You'll definitely want to check out this challenge as there are many ways to win and amazing prizes up for grabs because it is also a charity fundraiser. The charity is Reading is Fundamental and you can read all about the charity and the challenge here. My card is also for the Just Us Girls Challenge #114 (to make a center step card) and Bunny Zoe's Crafts Monthly Challenge #19 (to make fancy folds/shaped cards).

For my fancy fold, I chose to do a center step card since this was the technique required for the JUGS challenge. I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here. The base is GKD Heavy Weight Ivory. It is layered with GKD Good As Gold and metallic gold dotted paper from the Kaisercraft December 25th 6.5 x 6.5 pad. My image is a digi called Christmas Bells from Just Inklined. I printed it on Cryogen White and colored it in shades of gold with Copics. I added a tiny bit of gold Stickles to the holly berries. I used the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval die to make my gold frame. The sentiment is from the Layers of Color Christmas Verses set. It is embossed on Cryogen White with gold embossing powder and cut out with a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die. A gold trimmed sheer bow and a few gold adhesive pearls finished my fancy fold card.

Good morning! OK, so I shouldn't even be here at the computer since my Christmas cards aren't done and neither is my decorating! This lingering cold has really sapped my energy and now DH has it, too, so neither one of us accomplished much yesterday. I have a quick post today to share the card I made for the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge - The Beauty of Winter - to create a holiday or winter-themed project.

Here is my card:

It was so hard to get a good photo of my card with all the embossing and metal and the mirror card stock! This is the best one of over twenty I took! I used another of the gorgeous stamp sets I won last month. I purposely kept the design very simple so this wonderful image would be the main focus of the card. It is from Flourishes The First Noel set. I stamped it with Versamark onto a metal sheet in Brrr Blue (from Add A Little Dazzle) and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I matted the image with a piece of silver mirror card stock and popped it up on a base of GKD heavy white white. The sentiment, also from The First Noel, was also heat embossed with silver. A single rhinestone on the star finished my card.

I just love this beautiful image from Mo Manning called In The Manger. You can find it in Mo's store here. I started with a card base of SU Blue Bayou and layered with patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 pad. I printed the image onto Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers. I cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Circle Nesties and matted it with doily made with Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs. The verse is from Flourishes The First Noel set. It was stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. To make the wonderful image the main focus, my only embellishment was a wide stitched satin bow.

I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Weight Ivory and layered with panels cut from metal sheets in Poison Ivy, Gold Nugget and Scarlet Red that Monica generously provided to the DT for our samples. I punched the border of the gold layer with a SU Scallop Border Punch. I embossed the red layer with a Sizzix Large Damask embossing folder. I cut a frame for the image panel from the Gold Nugget metal sheet using a Spellbinders Lacey Circle die. My image is a precolored digi from Paulette at Create With TLC. I printed it on layering weight ivory and cut it out and popped it up. A few red gems, some lace trim and a metallic red ribbon bow finished my card. It sure was hard to get a decent photo with all the shiny metal!
